双面绣也叫两面绣,是中国优秀的民族传统工艺之一,双面绣始于宋代,是在同一块底料上,在同一绣制过程中,绣出正反两面图像,轮廓完全一样,图案同样精美。双面绣主要体现在中国四大名绣的作品中。

‌‌双面绣始于宋代‌,最早出现在高档日用品如‌经帙和‌手帕上。宋代是刺绣迅速成长的阶段,因此偶有此出类拔萃之作。

制作工艺


双面绣的特点是在同一块底料上,在同一绣制过程中绣出正反两面图像,轮廓完全一样,图案同样精美,两面都可欣赏。这需要高超的技艺水平,确保正反两面都整齐完美,图案精美。

一、绣时将线尾剪齐,从上刺下,再在离针二三丝处起针,将线抽剩少许线尾,下针时将线尾压住,连线几次短针,将线尾藏没,使正反两面都不露线头。

二、绣时把针垂直,不刺破反面的绣线。

三、掌握住排针:按次序非常均匀地排列针脚,不能疏密不当,才可使两面相等。

四、藏头,是将线尾隐藏在最后的针脚中,不能露出线头。
