主要以桑树皮为原料制作。
温州皮纸尤为著名，自唐朝起即作为贡品，
是劳动人民以桑皮为主要原料生产的一种手工纸。
皮纸心灯作为皮纸的一种应用形式，不仅具有照明功能，更蕴含着丰富的文化内涵和艺术价值。
