水陆画是古代寺庙举行水陆法会时悬挂的一种宗教神像画，起源于三国时期，并在金代至元、明、清时期盛行。它是“三教合一”大背景下产生与发展的民俗文化现象，题材主要取自儒、释、道三大教。
