潮绣，又称潮州刺绣，与广州刺绣合称为粤绣。潮绣以金线、银线、绒线、花线等材料，通过繁复的针法，创造出饱满的构图、鲜艳的色彩和清晰的纹理。其独特的钉金绣技法，更是以金银线为主，绒线为辅，通过过桥、踏针、捞花瓣、垫地、凹针、累勾绣等60多种针法，展现出金碧辉煌的艺术效果。特别是“二针企鳞”针法，更是潮绣所独有，通过金的折射产生闪闪发光的效果，使绣品更加富丽堂皇。
Chaozhou embroidery, also known as Chaozhou embroidery, is collectively referred to as Guangdong embroidery along with Guangzhou embroidery. Chao embroidery uses materials such as gold thread, silver thread, woollen yarn, and floral thread and, through intricate needlework, creates full compositions, bright colours, and clear textures. Its unique nail gold embroidery technique is mainly based on gold and silver threads, supplemented by woollen threads. Through more than 60 needlework techniques, such as crossing bridges, stepping needles, picking petals, padding the ground, concave needles, and cumulative hook embroidery, it showcases a magnificent artistic effect. Especially the "two needle scale" embroidery technique is unique to Chao embroidery, which produces a sparkling effect through the reflection of gold, making the embroidery more magnificent.

闽绣，则是一种以福州为中心，流行于福建地区的民间传统工艺。闽绣工艺独特，用色大胆，主题鲜明，图案丰富，层次感强，多被用在戏服上或祭祀等场合。闽绣的精髓在于立体图案和浮雕层次感，常用的绣法达数十种，如立体盘金、钉线绣、古体龙鳞、万字花边等。其中尤以立体盘金独具特色，其绣法为边捏边绣，一边压实棉花拿捏成型，一边用针线将成型的棉花缝于织布上，饱满立体，由内而外透出一种大气。
Min embroidery is a traditional folk craft that is popular in the Fujian region, centred around Fuzhou. Fujian embroidery has unique craftsmanship, bold colour choices, distinct themes, rich patterns, and strong layering. It is often used in costumes or sacrificial occasions. The essence of Min embroidery lies in its three-dimensional patterns and relief layering. There are dozens of commonly used embroidery methods, such as three-dimensional plate gold, nail thread embroidery, ancient dragon scales, and ten thousand character lace. Among them, the three-dimensional plate gold is particularly unique, with its embroidery method of pinching and embroidering at the same time. While compacting the cotton and shaping it, it uses needle and thread to sew the formed cotton onto the fabric, creating a full and three-dimensional effect that exudes an atmosphere from the inside out.
除了潮绣和闽绣，中国的浮雕刺绣还包括了其他多种形式和风格。例如立体绣，它将刺绣与拼贴巧妙融合，用针线在织物上绣制出令人叹为观止的立体感图案。立体绣的历史可以追溯到中国秦汉时期，曾经是“丝绸之路”上的闪耀明星。历经千年沧桑，它依然保持着那份独特的韵味和魅力。
In addition to Chao embroidery and Min embroidery, Chinese relief embroidery also includes various other forms and styles. For example, 3D embroidery cleverly integrates embroidery and collage, using needle and thread to embroider stunning 3D patterns on fabrics. The history of three-dimensional embroidery can be traced back to the Qin and Han dynasties in China, and it was once a shining star on the Silk Road. After thousands of years of vicissitudes, it still maintains its unique charm and allure.

浮雕刺绣的制作过程极为复杂，从设计草图到选材配色，再到一针一线地精心绣制，每一步都考验着匠人的技艺与耐心。首先，设计师会根据创作灵感绘制出精细的图案，随后，经验丰富的绣娘会根据图案的深浅、光影变化，选择合适的针法和丝线进行绣制。通过不同颜色、不同粗细的丝线叠加交织，形成高低错落、层次分明的立体效果，让作品栩栩如生，仿佛触手可及。。
The production process of relief embroidery is extremely complex, from design sketches to material selection and colour matching, and then to meticulously embroidering every stitch and thread, each step tests the craftsman's skills and patience. Firstly, designers will draw intricate patterns based on their creative inspiration. Then, experienced embroiderers will choose suitable needlework and silk threads for embroidery according to the depth and changes in light and shadow of the patterns. By overlapping and interweaving threads of different colours and thicknesses, a three-dimensional effect is formed with staggered heights and distinct layers, making the work vivid and as if within reach.
