1. Admissions Policy
Applicants should meet one of the requirements below:
1.1 Students whose father or mother holds a foreign passport with the resident permit issued by Shanghai or a permanent residence card issued by the Ministry of Public Security.
1.2. Students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan of China or students whose father or mother is from Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan of China (parents need to provide documents showing that they are working or living in Shanghai).
1.3. Students with foreign passports with a residence permit issued by Shanghai or a permanent residence card issued by the Ministry of Public Security (parents need to provide documents showing that they are working or living in Shanghai).
1.4. Students who were born overseas (if both parents hold Chinese passports without permanent residence from other countries and the child holds the foreign passport without a visa issued by China, it does not meet the admissions policy).
* ‘People's Republic of China Travel Document’(旅行证) and ‘People's Republic of China Exit and Entry permit’(通行证)are not considered as visas.
1.5. Students who hold a permit from the Education Commission.

3. Application Process
3.1. Submit the online application form.
Find the ‘Application Entry 申请通道’ on the homepage of the official website.
3.2. The admissions office will contact you for the application materials via mail in one week. Please follow the instructions from the Admissions Office.
3.3. Submit the document (hardcopies) before the deadline provided by the Admissions Office. (Application materials are reviewed and confirmed on Thursdays and Fridays only, excluding holidays.)
Entrance Exams: Chinese, Math, and English.
* Math test papers are in English.
3.5. Family interview. The interview languages are English and Chinese.
3.6 FDIS makes the decision, and the Admissions Office informs families via email or phone call.
Applicants need to be informed of the following issues:
Fudan International School can help with student visas only if the student’s age is 18 or above.
If there are no seats left at FDIS, students will be put on the waiting list.

5. Open Houses
The Admissions Office usually updates the available appointment dates at the beginning of the month. Scan the QR code to book one.
