活力四射，享运动飞扬——2023FDIS秋季运动会

十一月中旬，复旦附中国际部的学生们迎来了期盼已久的秋季运动会。中学部于11月10日在相辉楼体育馆内进行；小学部于11月13日下午在325校区操场举行。现在就让我们一起去领略FDIS运动健儿的风采吧！

In mid-November, the students of Fudan International School celebrated the long-awaited Sports Day. The Middle School had a full day of sports activities on 10th November in the gymnasium of Xianghui Building, while the ES Sports Day was held in the afternoon of 13th November in the playground of Campus 325. Let's take a look now!

11月13日，小学部翘首以盼的运动会终于在美好的秋日晴空下得以举办。午餐时间一过，小学部的全体师生，按小组来到操场上，在学生会的带领下开始热身。大家个个摩拳擦掌，时刻准备着超越自我，获得胜利！

November 13th is the Sports meeting day, which all the ES teachers and students wait for. After the sumptuous lunch time, the primary students took their cups of water and went to the playground according to the groups divided by their teachers, and started to warm up under the leadership of the Student Council. As you can see, they were all ready to challenge themselves and win!

热身之后，Mr.Bruno和Mr.Altair布置好场地，并向学生们介绍了运动会的各个项目，低年级（1-2年级）和高年级（3-5年级）各有4个趣味运动项目，每个队伍可以在20分钟内完成一个项目的比拼，哨声响起后轮换进行下一个项目。大家都跃跃欲试，也给自己的小组加油鼓劲。快来欣赏一下孩子们在这些活动中的矫健身姿和珍贵瞬间吧！

After warming up, Mr.Bruno and Mr.Altair set up the venue and introduced the students to the various events of the Games, there were 4 fun sports events for each of the Lower (Grade 1-2) and Upper (Grade 3-5), each team could complete one event 

within 20 minutes and get points, and take part in the next one when the whistle blew. Students were eager to give it a go and mentally cheered their group. Go and enjoy the precious moments!

全力以赴地完成四个项目之后，学生们虽然大汗淋漓，但仍意犹未尽。这时，Mr. Bruno宣布了最后一个神秘项目：寻宝狂欢。学生们将需要在操场和教学楼各个角落找寻代表自己校队的硬币，找到的硬币越多则分数越高。全体同学再次沸腾起来，他们冲向四面八方，不放过任何蛛丝马迹，为胜利做最后的拼搏！

After completing all 4 events, the students were sweating profusely but still not satisfied. At this point, Mr. Bruno announced the final mystery event: Treasure Hunt, in which students would search for their team's coins in all corners of the playground and school building, and the more coins they found, the more points they would score. Once again, 

ES was abuzz with excitement as students rushed in all directions, not missing a single trace, in a final push for victory!

哨声再次响起，Mr.Altair也统计好了每个校队的得分。在万众瞩目下， Mr. Bruno宣布：今年获胜的校队是黄队，操场上响起了热烈的掌声。小学部主任施佳丽老师、副主任马斯晨老师为学生们颁发了奖品和奖牌。

The whistle blew again and Mr.Altair tallied up the scores of each varsity team. With all eyes on  Mr. Altair, who announced that this year's winning Varsity team was Amber and the playground erupted in thunderous applause. Ms. Scarlett, ES Director, and Mr. Scott, ES Deputy Director, presented prizes and medals to the students.

孩子们兴奋地欢呼、雀跃，为成就喝彩。但他们知道，胜利并不是他们在运动会中唯一获得的，合作共赢，团结奋斗，在遇到困难时坚定志向，哪怕失败也不坠初心，是真正的体育精神，每个人都将受益于笃志与意志的荣光！

The children cheered and leapt with excitement, applauding the achievement. But they knew that victory was not the only thing they had gained from the Games. Co-operation, unity and hard work, determination in the face of difficulties, and not falling in the face of failure are the true spirit of sportsmanship, and everyone will benefit from the glory of determination and will for life!

中学部的运动会，则是一场充满激情与活力的盛宴。11月10日，同学们身着队服，早早地坐在相辉楼的体育馆内，做好准备，满怀期待。

The Middle and High School Sports Day was a feast full of passion and vitality. On November 10th, students, dressed in their house T-shirts, sat down early in the gymnasium of the Xianghui Building and waited for this moment with great expectation.

首先，七、八、九年级同学带来了精彩的开幕式表演——花式跳绳。他们以灵活的身姿和精湛的技艺，引领大家沉浸在这项充满活力和挑战的运动中，感受这项运动所蕴含的无穷魅力！台下不时传来同学们的阵阵掌声与惊叹声。

First of all, the seventh, eighth and ninth grade students brought a very wonderful opening performance - fancy rope skipping, only to see their flexible posture and exquisite skills, leading everyone to immerse themselves in this dynamic and challenging sport, and to feel the infinite charm contained in the rope skipping! From time to time, students' applause and marvels came from the floor.

国际部副主任全正姬老师宣布运动会正式开始之后，学生们开启了十个运动项目的大比拼，包括：十人“八字”跳长绳，翻卡牌、滑板翻转杯、速度球、追逐接力赛、平板支撑、平衡板、巨人脚步、”毛毛虫“、拔河比赛。同学们不仅在比赛中锻炼了身体，磨练了意志，培养了团队精神，更体会到了运动的乐趣。其中最令人印象深刻的当属跳长绳、接力赛和”毛毛虫“这三个项目。

After Ms Quan, Deputy Director of FDIS announced the beginning of Sports Day , there were as many as ten events waiting for everyone to compete, including: long jump rope, card game, dolly game, speed ball, catch-relay, plank, balance board, tie-feet game, caterpillar, tug-of-war, etc. The students not only exercised their 

bodies, sharpened their wills, cultivated team spirit, but also experienced the fun of sports. The most impressive ones were jumping rope, relay running and caterpillar.

跳长绳是以班级为单位，每个班级选出10名同学参加比赛，8名同学跳绳，2名同学摇绳，3分钟内跳绳数量最多的班级获胜。这项运动看似简单，却能考验出一个集体的团结与意志。只见同学们快速进入状态，默契配合：跳绳的同学巧妙地穿梭在舞动的绳子之间，而摇绳的同学则站定挥动臂膀，确保大家顺利通行。随着哨声响起，跳绳比赛结束，无论最终数量多少，同学们都为彼此的尽心尽力而点赞，为团队争光而自豪。

Long rope jump is a homeroom-based competition in which each class selects 10 students to participate. 8 students jump rope, and 2 students swing the rope, and the class with the highest number of jump ropes within 3 minutes wins. This sport seems simple, but it can test the unity and will of a collective. The students quickly got into 

the state of tacit cooperation: the students who jumped the rope skillfully shuttled between the dancing ropes, while the students who swung the rope stood still and waved their arms to ensure the smooth passage of everyone. With the sound of the whistle, the rope skipping competition came to an end. Regardless of the final number, the students praised each other for their dedication and were proud of their team.

追逐接力赛颇为刺激，两两对决，每组15人，同学们只有一个信念，即追上另一队的队员，带着荣誉归队！快看，Ruby队马上要追上Sapphire队了，快点，再快点，Sapphire队别慌，向前，再向前......！这不仅是一场速度与智慧的较量，还是一次笃志与意志的考量。全力以赴不放弃，哪怕跑的圈数再多，也要追上对方选手。坚持坚持再坚持！终于，Ruby队追上了Sapphire队，获得胜利，全场高燃，简直太棒了！

Catch relay is quite exciting, two teams of 15 people each, standing at the two ends of the circular track, a member of each team holding the baton to run as hard as possible, after a lap, the baton will be passed to the teammates to continue to run, the whole team has only one conviction, that is, to catch up with the other running team members, and return to the team with the honor! Look,  Ruby team is about to catch up with Sapphire team, faster, 

faster, Sapphire team don't panic, forward, forward ......! This is not only a competition of speed and wisdom, but also a consideration of determination and resilience. Give it all you've got and don't give up. Even if you have to run more laps, you have to catch up with the other team. Persistence, persistence, persistence! Finally, Team Ruby caught up with Team Sapphire and won the race. The whole stadium was on fire. it was just great!

”毛毛虫“虽可爱，但想要获胜也不容易。仍是Amber, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire四队集结“能工巧匠”，每队20人，藏在一条长长的履带里，履带随着整个队伍向前而不断滚动，远看就像一条憨态可掬的毛毛虫拖动着肥硕的身躯缓缓前行。哎呀，不好，Emerald毛毛虫的“尾巴”出来了，被后进的Ruby毛毛虫赶上了！Amber毛毛虫的头找不到方向了，不要着急！大家一定要团结一心，注意脚底下，安全到达终点才算胜利啊！场下的啦啦队也呐喊助威，恨不得把加油的劲儿全部给在队员身上，来助他们一臂之力！

The caterpillars may be cute, but it's not easy to win. The four teams of Amber, Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire, each with 20 members, hid themselves in a long spliced tape which rolled along with the whole team, and from a distance, it looked like a silly caterpillar dragging its fat body slowly forward. Oh no, Emerald's tail is coming out, and Ruby's caterpillar is catching up with her! Amber's caterpillar's head can't find its way, so don't worry! Don't worry! We must be united, pay attention to the bottom of our feet and reach the finish line safely! The cheerleaders under the field also shouted and cheered, wishing to put all their cheering energy on the team members to help them! 

在课堂上，老师是热爱教学的严谨学者，而在课下，他们摇身一变，成了热爱运动的活力干将。看啊，老师们拼尽全力喊着“一二三”，而同学们也不甘示弱，整齐划一向后拉，展现出了超强的团队合作和默契精神。这一轮比赛下来，老师和同学都累得气喘吁吁，却也乐在其中，彼此的情谊被无意间拉近了。

In the classroom, the teachers are rigorous scholars who love teaching, but outside of the classroom, they transformed into energetic generals who love sports. Look, the teachers shouted "one, two, three" with all their might, and the students were not shy, pulling back in unison, showing strong teamwork and tacit understanding. After this round of competition, both teachers and students were tired and out of breath, but also enjoyed it, and the friendship between each other was unintentionally drawn closer.

最令人激动的颁奖环节来了！在体育老师统计完团队总分后，Amber获得了第四名，Ruby第三名，Sapphire第二名，今年的冠军队是Emerald队！祝贺所有获奖的同学和老师！

Here comes the most exciting part of the awards! After the P.E. teachers tallied up the team totals, Amber took 4th place, Ruby 3rd, Sapphire 2nd, and this year's winning team was Emerald! Congratulations to all the students and teachers who won!

 一年一度的中小学运动会在同学们的欢声笑语中落下了帷幕。无论是胜利者的欢呼，还是落幕时的感慨，这些瞬间都将激励我们勇往直前，笃志不倦，追求更加美好的明天。让我们铭记这份热血澎湃的瞬间，把体育精神融入日常生活，勇敢面对生活的考验，笃志前行，创造属于我们自己的精彩篇章！

The annual ES and MSHS Games came to an end amidst the laughter of the students. Whether it's the cheers of the winners or the emotions at the end, these moments will inspire us to move forward, be determined, and pursue a better tomorrow. Let's remember this blood-pumping moment, integrate sportsmanship into our daily life, bravely face the test of life, and move forward with determination to create a wonderful chapter of our own!
