2024 Extended Essay Fair
After almost one year of hard work, all G12 IB students successfully submitted their IB Extended Essay (EE) and they chose to share the experience and skills they gained with the High School students on Women’s Day.
分享会当天，高中部师生齐聚笃志楼六楼会议厅，11年级的主持人Cherilyn Sun和Danni Huang对专题论文做了言简意赅的介绍，并邀请12年级的五位同学（Harry Kuo，Ethan Lin，Jake Guan，Kelly Yam，Clara Chang）就组织论文框架、选择研究课题以及选用研究方法等方面进行分享。
On the day of the sharing session, high school students and teachers gathered in the conference room on the sixth floor of the Duzhi Building. G11 Cherilyn Sun and Danni Huang gave a concise introduction to the extended essay and invited five G12 students (Harry Kuo, Ethan Lin, Jake Guan, Kelly Yam, and Clara Chang) to share their experiences on organizing the framework of the essays, choosing a research topic and selecting right research methodologies.
首先，Harry Kuo分享了如何在视觉艺术学科中选题，关键点是需要根据个人兴趣选择恰到好处的艺术材料以保证最佳选题的产生。
Firstly, Harry Kuo shared how to choose a topic in the visual arts discipline, the key point being that one needs to choose just the right art materials based on one's personal interests to ensure that the best topic is produced.
其次，Ethan Lin分享了如何调查研究，引用参考文献使论文更具学术性。他提示学弟学妹们查找适当的信息来源也是一项技能，应尽早学会。
Secondly, Ethan Lin shared how to research and cite references to make a paper more academic. He mentioned that finding appropriate sources of information is also a skill that should be learned as early as possible.
Jake Guan 的选题跟英语语言与文学学科有关，他鼓励大家多多发掘自己的独特想法。
Jake Guan's topic was related to the subject of English Language and Literature, and he encouraged everyone to explore their own unique ideas.
Kelly Yam写的论文需要她自己提供生物实验数据，她提到了自己在做生物实验时，应如何做好准备应对挫折，并认为青年学者计划项目对写论文十分有益。
Kelly Yam, who wrote an essay that required her to provide her own data for biological experiments, mentioned how she should be prepared to deal with setbacks when doing biological experiments and found the Young Research Scholars’ Programme project very beneficial in writing her essays.
最后，Clara Chang 建议论文写好后，再翻看一遍论文指南并做相应修整，会有意想不到的收获。
Finally, Clara Chang suggests that once the paper is written, it can be rewarding to go over the EE Guide again and make changes accordingly.
聆听完12年级同学的精彩分享后，11年级同学就自己的选题与12年级进行了深入交流，他们纷纷表示学长学姐耐心专业，干货满满，他们受益颇多。
After listening to the wonderful sharing of G12 students, G11 students had an in-depth exchange with G12 on their chosen topics, and they said that they benefited a lot from the patience and professionalism of their seniors, who were full of useful knowledge.
分享会的最后是Balami乐队成员和11年级志愿者们为12年级同学送上鲜花与祝福，祝他们IB考试顺利，步入理想大学，未来前程似锦。
The sharing session ended with Balami band members and G11 volunteers presenting flowers and wishes to G12 students for good luck in their IB exams, entry into their ideal university and a bright future ahead.
