你是什么“派”？——复旦附中国际部数学“圆周率”日庆祝活动 FDIS Pi Day 2024

3月14日上午，天空中飘着一丝小雨，却丝毫不影响小学部学生迎来第一届“圆周率”日庆祝活动的激动心情。如果要给这份激动设置一个长度，可能比“圆周率”的位数还要长吧！学生们在仔细聆听了广播里对活动的介绍后，便洋溢着笑容开始了数学闯关之旅。

On the morning of March 14th, there was a slight drizzle in the sky, but it didn't dampen the excitement of the elementary school students as they celebrated the first Pi Day! If we were to put a length on this excitement, it would probably be longer than the number of digits in Pi! After listening carefully to the introduction of the activity via school announcement radio, the students started their Pi Day journey with smiling faces!

此次庆祝日，数学及音体美老师们共设置了10个与“圆”、“圆周率”或“数学”相关的活动，学生需要完成相关任务以获得数字章。他们或化身为“画画派”，用万花尺画出“圆”的美丽图案；或化身为“音乐派”，用不同的韵律唱出“圆周率”；或化身为“创作派”，用超轻粘土做出美味的手工派。当然，也有许多运动健将，需要在3.14秒内跑到终点或用呼啦圈套住远处的圆筒。学生们穿梭在各个活动教室之间，在享受游戏乐趣的同时学习数学、运用数学。

For this celebration, math, music, art, and PE teachers set up 10 activities related to "circles", "Pi", or "math", and students were asked to complete tasks in order to get a number stamp. They need to be a "Drawing Pi" and draw beautiful pictures of "circles" with a kaleidoscope. Or to be a "Music Pi" and sing "Pi" in different rhymes. Or to be a "DIY Pi" and make handmade pies out of ultralight clay! Of course, many sports kids need to run to the finish line in less than 3.14 seconds or use a hula hoop to catch a cone in the distance. Students move from one activity room to another, learning and applying math while having fun!

同时，学校也为积极参与的同学们提供了丰富的奖品。集满6个以上数字章，便能获得一份小奖品。集满10个数字章，便能兑换两份精美礼物，并且能够为自己团队的一个“圆周率”数字涂色。最终哪个团队的数字被涂色最多，就能赢得最终的奖杯大奖！

At the same time, the school also provided a wealth of prizes for students who actively participated in the activities. Students can get a small prize if they collect 6 or more number stamps. Once they collect the full 10 stamps, students can get two great gifts and be given an opportunity to color one of the digits in Pi for their house team. Whichever house team ends up with the most colored numbers in Pi wins the final trophy prize!

当然，“圆周率”日可少不了一个重要环节——分享“派”。学生们带来了一份份美味的自制派，餐桌上的苹果派、核桃派、糯米派散发着阵阵香气，令人垂涎欲滴。午餐时间，大家一边分享与品尝着美味，一边开心地聊着、笑着。此刻，每一位学生就像“圆周率”这个无限小数里的一个独特数字，共同聚集在FDIS这个“圆”里，一起欢笑，一起成长。

Of course, there is one important part of Pi Day - the sharing of "pies"! The students brought a delicious serving of homemade pies, and the table was filled with apple, walnut, and sticky rice pies. During lunchtime, everyone had a great time chatting and laughing while sharing and savoring the delicious pies! At this moment, each student is like a unique digit in the infinite decimal of "Pi", gathering together in the "circle" of FDIS, laughing and growing together.

3月15日，午后阳光温暖着校园的每一个角落。中学部的同学们手拿卡片，怀着兴奋与激动的心情，参与到七个由学生自主设计的趣味数学游戏和三个由数学老师们设计的创意互动活动之中。谁能在最短的时间内赢得最多的印章，谁就能获得最终大奖。除此以外，同学们还制作了“数学历史重要时刻”和“图形变换动画”的数学小视频来助兴。

On March 15, the afternoon sun warmed every corner of the campus. With cards in hand and with excitement and thrill, students from the middle and high school came to play seven fun math games (designed by the students themselves) and three creative and interactive activities (designed by the math teachers). Whoever could win the biggest number of stamps in the shortest time would win the final prize. In addition, the students also created mathematical videos relating to a historical moment in math, or an animation about transformations.

游戏过后是否饥肠辘辘？精通烹饪技能的同学们早已将准备好的美味的派带给大家享用。这可不是普通的派，不仅内里馅料丰富多样，而且外表数学元素满满，真是美味极了！同时亲手制作派的同学也会赢得印章作为奖励噢！

Feeling hungry after the games? Students tested their culinary skills by baking a delicious pie for Pi Day! These pies are not just ordinary pies, they are not only filled with various kinds of fillings but also full of math elements, so yummy! Students who made their own pies also won stamps as a reward!

数学组还举办了一场惊喜游戏，测试玩家对历史数学知识的了解！主楼墙上有20多位著名数学家的面孔以及他们对数学学科的贡献。学生玩家需要在规定时间内记住他们的姓名及其贡献。数学老师会出示一张带有某位数学家面孔的照片，玩家必须成功猜对他们的姓名并说出至少一条贡献才算赢。

The math department also hosted a surprise game that tests players’ historical mathematical knowledge! On the walls of the Main Building are more than 20 mathematicians’ faces, and their corresponding contributions to Mathematics. Players need to remember their names and their contributions. A plaque with the face of the mathematician will be shown to players, and players must reveal their names and contributions.

活动结束后，同学们分别为他们最喜欢的游戏、派和视频投票，评选出了最受欢迎奖的前三名，参与者们也通过自己手里最多的印章获得最佳参与奖。

At the end of the event, students voted for their favorite games, pies, and videos to select the top three for the most popular award, and participants won the best participation award by having the most stamps in their hands.
