A Journey Through Exploration: Reflections on
Our Annual Science Fair
· DREAM
—————
On the first day of March, all FDIS students and teachers celebrated the first subject activity of the semester - the Science Fair. The Science Department's annual fair not only showcased the ingenuity of FDIS students, but more importantly, they transformed the campus into a vibrant science lab, another hands-on science exploration for students that went beyond the traditional classroom setting.
This year, however, there was a twist. Instead of the traditional stand-and-present model, the fair was designed around an interactive game format. Students and visitors embarked on a scientific scavenger hunt around the school, engaging in different games and activities at each exhibit to collect stamps.
The Moment of Discovery
—————
Each exhibit became a buzzing hub of learning and interaction. Games ranged from solving intricate puzzles that demonstrated the principles of physics to participating in life. This engaging format transformed the attendees into active participants, fostering a deeper connection with the scientific concepts on display.

—————
Part I:
Middle School Science Fair Project
The heart of the Science Fair lay in the exhibits meticulously prepared by our students. Each board was a look into the hours of dedication and passion invested into their projects. Each panel has a "science" theme, with some depicting scientific phenomena, others showcasing scientific experiments, and some presenting scientific questions and answers. The content is impressive and vibrant, reflecting the students' enthusiasm for science and the strong atmosphere of scientific inquiry on campus.
Part II: G11 The Collaborative Sciences Project
(CSP)
Perfor-mance
(1) Developing Eco-Friendly Soap with Superior(2) With scarce resources, what architectural structur-e inspired by nature support the most weight?
(3) Environmental friendly paint using plant material-s
(4) Investigation: water filtration methods
A Triumph of the Scientific Spirit
As the Science Fair drew to a close, it was evident that the day had been more than a mere exhibition of scientific facts; it was a celebration of the unyielding spirit of inquiry and the joy of discovery. The interactive format of the fair, through the collection of stamps, did more than just make science into a game; it brought it to life, making it accessible and engaging for everyone involved.
In reflection, the success of our Science Fair lies not in the awards or the projects presented, but in the me-aningful connections forged between our students and the world of science. It told me that science is not a distant thing, locked away in textbooks and laboratori-es, but something living that touches every side of our lives.
As we look forward to future fairs, we carry with us the lessons of this year's success—the understanding that making science fun, interactive, and accessible can ignite a lifelong passion for learning in everyone. The science fair may have ended, but the journey of discovery it sparked continues to resonate within the halls of our school, inspiring a new generation of thinkers and explorers to move forward.
