探索无限，追求卓越——FDIS Middle School Graduation Ceremony

时光流转，星辰守望，少年的心中燃烧着炽热的梦想。在这个充满希望的盛夏，他们如同勇敢的航海家，站在新的起点，怀揣着对未来的无限憧憬，准备扬帆起航。复旦附中国际部于6月20日下午一点三十分在旦华楼六楼，以“探索无限”为主题，隆重举行了2024届八年级的初中毕业典礼。本次毕业典礼由Ms. Gabrielle老师和Mr. Will老师担任主持，复旦附中副校长、国际部主任李峻及国际部副主任全正姬、施谛文，主任助理孙霞等其他国际部老师，家委会会长侯克强先生等其他家长都共同见证了这一具有里程碑意义的时刻。

Time flies, and the hearts of teenagers are burning with a fiery dream. In this summer full of hope, they are like brave navigators, standing at a new starting point, with infinite expectations for the future, ready to set sail. Fudan International School held the 2024 Middle School graduation ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on June 20th on the 6th floor of Danhua Building with the theme of "Explore without limits". 

The graduation ceremony was hosted by Ms. Gabrielle and Mr. Will, and attended by Ms. Li Jun, Vice Principal of High School Affiliated to Fudan University and Director of FDIS, Ms. Caroline Quan and Ms. Christine Shi, Deputy Directors of FDIS, Ms. Sun Xia, Director Assistant of FDIS, and other teachers, as well as Mr. Hou Keqiang, PTA President, and other parents, who all witnessed this moment together.

Accompanied by the music of the Mustang Band, the graduates slowly entered wearing their gowns and holding flowers in their hands.

首先，由李峻副校长代表学校致辞。李老师回顾了同学们在校园中度过的宝贵时光，同时也期待同学们的未来表现。她希望在智能网络深度融合的时代背景下，大家继续拓宽视野，探索未知领域，不断锤炼并提升自己。最后，她以诚挚的言辞，向在座的家长与老师的辛苦付出表示了由衷感谢。

First of all, Vice Principal Li Jun delivered a speech on behalf of the school. Ms. Li recalled the valuable time students spent on campus and also looked forward to their future performance. She hoped that in the era of the deep integration of intelligence and networks, 

they would continue to broaden their horizons, explore unknown fields, and constantly refine and improve themselves. Finally, with sincere words, she expressed her heartfelt thanks to the parents and teachers present for their hard work.

在一段暖心的校园回忆视频《爱的季节》之后，感恩园丁的环节隆重开启。毕业生们全体起立，向恩师们献上鲜花，表达感谢，感谢他们无私的奉献、辛勤的付出以及深厚的教诲。

After a heart-warming campus reminiscence video "Seasons of Love", the session of gratitude to the teachers was grandly opened. 

The graduates all stood up and presented flowers to their teachers to express their gratitude for their teachers’ selfless dedication, hard work, and profound teachings.

英语老师Mr. Sean代表教师发言。他表示，自己教整个八年级的同学感到非常幸运，和大家朝夕相处的趣事还历历在目，转眼间，同学们即将毕业，开启高中新旅程。他希望同学们继续保持对知识的热爱和对生活的探索精神，无论是向外探索还是向内追寻，在经历拼接、制作、组装、模仿、展示这一系列过程之后，自己的内心将会丰盈起来，这是一笔宝贵的财富，助力他们勇往直前。

Mr. Sean, the English teacher, spoke on behalf of the teachers. He claimed that he was lucky to teach the whole 8th-grade class, and the fun times he spent with them are still fresh in his mind. In the blink of an eye, the students are about to graduate and start a new journey in high school.

He hoped that the students would continue to maintain their love of knowledge and the spirit of exploration of life, whether it is outward exploration or inward pursuit, after going through a series of processes of splicing, making, assembling, imitating, and displaying, their hearts will be full, which is a valuable asset to help them move forward.

国际部副主任全正姬老师向大家隆重介绍了两位荣誉毕业生，Emmy Chen 和Jasmine Li。两位同学表达感谢的同时也分享了自己的体会。Emmy Chen表示：“初中三年，我从’电影之夜’的旁观者变成了积极的参与者，我积极探索自己的爱好，并意识到我们的能力其实是无限的。是了不起的 FDIS 社区为我提供了这些机会，让我能够挣脱禁锢，不断探索和发现自己的热爱。” Jasmine Li表示：“初中三年的学习，让我开始意识到家人和老师在我身边的重要性。他们的存在带给我安全感，他们的支持是我们前行路上的支柱。他们让我们能够坚持自我、不懈追求、探索无限。没有他们，就没有我们所鼓励和追求的自由探索。”

Ms. Caroline Quan, deputy director of FDIS, introduced two honor graduates, Emmy Chen and Jasmine Li, who expressed their gratitude and shared their own experiences with the class. Emmy Chen said, "In my three years of middle school, I went from being a bystander to an active participant in Movie Night. I actively explored my hobbies and realized that our abilities are actually limitless. It is the amazing FDIS community that has provided me with these opportunities to break free of my inhibitions and continue to explore and discover what I love."

Jasmine Li said, "My three years of middle school have made me begin to realize the importance of having my family and teachers by my side. Their presence brings me a sense of security, and their support is the backbone of our journey forward. They allow us to persevere, pursue relentlessly, and explore the infinite. Without them, there would be no freedom of exploration that we encourage and pursue."

在毕业典礼上，班主任和导师为33位学生颁发个性化荣誉证书并合影留念，证书上镌刻着专属每位学生的个性称号，既是对他们独特魅力的认可，也是对他们个性的赞美。

At the graduation ceremony, homeroom teachers and mentors presented 33 students with personalized honorary certificates and posed for a group photo. 

The certificates were engraved with personalized words that were exclusive to each student, both in recognition of their unique charms and as a tribute to their individuality.

本届毕业生送给母校的礼物是“人气沙发”。学生代表Sherry Liang和 Masami Tsuda表示希望这份礼物能为FDIS社区的成员提供一个休憩的角落，让心灵在沙发上得到片刻的放松与滋养。为了回馈毕业生们的深情厚意，母校也为他们精心准备了礼物——印有FDIS logo及毕业主题的帽子与布袋。这些实用的纪念品承载着母校对他们的美好祝愿与深切期许。

This year's graduates' gift to the school was a "popular couch". Student representatives Sherry Liang and Masami Tsuda expressed their hope that this gift would provide a corner for members of the FDIS community to relax and nourish their souls on the couch.

In return, school also prepared gifts for the graduates - caps and bags with the FDIS logo and graduation theme. These practical souvenirs carry the good wishes and deep expectations of the school for them.

毕业生Zoe Xu的父亲 Mr. Xu Jin代表家长致辞。他希望同学们要在坚持探索，挑战自我的同时不忘珍惜同窗情谊，因为它建立在坚定不移的信任和彼此回忆的基础上，历久弥新。最后，他代表八年级所有家长对国际部的老师及工作人员表达了由衷感谢。

Mr. Xu Jin, father of graduate Zoe Xu, delivered a speech on behalf of the parents. He hoped that the students would continue to explore and challenge themselves while not forgetting to cherish the friendship of their classmates, 

which is built on unwavering trust and memories of each other that last forever. Finally, on behalf of all the Grade 8 parents, he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the teachers and staff of FDIS.

颁发毕业证书环节将本次毕业典礼推向了高潮。毕业生们依次上台，从李校长手中接过毕业证书，与她合影留念。与此同时，屏幕上滚动播放着记录他们成长的照片，以及他们钟爱的格言。这些珍贵的瞬间见证了他们的成长与蜕变，也寓意着他们即将迈向新的人生旅程，带着学校的祝福和期望，勇敢前行。

The bestowing of the diplomas session brought this graduation ceremony to a climax. The graduates went up to the stage one by one, received the diplomas from Vice Principal Li, and took pictures with her. At the same time, the screen was scrolling with photos that recorded their growth and their favorite motto. 

These precious moments witnessed their growth and transformation, and signified that they were about to embark on a new journey in life, carrying the blessings and expectations of the school and marching forward bravely.

毕业典礼的最后一个环节，是9B班的Lam Lin和Lucy An关于高中学习生活的建议。他们从如何制定切实可行的目标、平衡学习与生活的艺术、课程选择的策略，到如何坚守并追求自己的热爱，都给予了中肯而宝贵的建议。希望学弟学妹们的高中之路顺利而充满收获。

The final part of the graduation ceremony was the advice from Lam Lin and Lucy An of Class 9B on academic life in high school. They gave pertinent and valuable advice on how to set realistic goals, the art of balancing study and life, 

strategies for course selection, and how to stick to and pursue what they love. They hope that the road to high school will be smooth and full of rewards for the graduates.

本次毕业典礼在欢声笑语中圆满结束，但那些温馨而动人的瞬间却让人难以忘怀。我们深信，经过复旦附中国际部的精心培养，初中毕业生们将以勤思好问的精神与卓越非凡的才干，继续勇往直前，探索无限，未来可期！

This graduation ceremony ended successfully in laughter, but those warm and moving moments are unforgettable. We are convinced that, through the careful cultivation of Fudan International School, the middle school graduates 

will be able to move forward and explore infinitely with the spirit of hard thinking and excellent and extraordinary talents, and their future is beyond imagination!
