乐于实践，焕发新知——2023学年复旦附中国际部秋季户外拓展活动

10月20日的清晨，小学部的孩子们背着沉甸甸的书包来到学校，但与往常不同的是，这一天，孩子们的书包中装的不再是厚厚的书本，他们的课堂也不再是一间间教室。等待着小学部师生的是一整天有趣、有意义的实践活动。师生们坐上大巴，满怀期待地出发了！

Early in the morning of October 20th, ES students came to school with heavy school bags, but today, the children's school bags were no longer filled with thick books, and their classroom was beyond the walls. A full day of interesting and meaningful hands-on activities awaited the students and teachers of the elementary school. Teachers and students boarded the bus and set off with great anticipation!

户外拓展活动的第一站是青浦阿特麦文化创意产业园。在这里，学生们身体力行，体验了传统手工刨花灯、手工小木凳、手工香皂的制作。看着在商店中出售或在博物馆中陈列的物件在自己手中制作成型，学生们体会到了“躬行”的乐趣与收获。

The first stop of the trip was the Qingpu Art M Cultural and Creative Industry Park. Here, students created traditional handmade lanterns, handmade wooden stools, and handmade soaps. Watching the objects sold in stores or displayed in museums take shape in their own hands, the students experienced the fun and reward of "learning by doing".

在愉快地享用完午餐之后，师生们乘坐大巴来到了美不胜收的上海大观园。这座园林，将中国古代四大名著之一的《红楼梦》一书中的环境投射进现实，极大地还原了中国古代人民的生活风貌。在导游和老师的讲解中，学生们沉浸其中，于行路中感受书卷的魅力。历史和文化的悠悠底蕴将潜移默化地影响着孩子们前路。

After a pleasant lunch, the students and teachers took the bus to the breathtakingly beautiful Shanghai Grand View Garden. This garden has greatly restored the living style of the ancient Chinese people in one of the four great masterpieces of ancient China, "Dream of the Red Mansions”, and the students were immersed with the words of the tour guide and the teachers, feeling the charm in the walk. The heritage of history and culture will subtly influence the children's future.

秋日阳光融融地洒在曳游着鱼儿的水面上，学生们在欢声笑语中走过石桥，孩子们为这次的新奇体验和丰富收获感到开心满足。户外拓展的活动虽有尽头，然而实践的勇气与求知的精神却永无止境。

Autumn sunshine melted on the water with fish swimming; students walked across the stone bridge with laughters, and they were happy and satisfied with novel and rich experiences. Although the trip has come to an end, the courage to practice and the spirit of knowledge never ends, and it is deeply planted in the hearts of the students.

10月19日一早，中学部的师生们就整装待发，满怀期待，踏上了为期两日的苏州之旅。时隔数年的第一次秋季户外拓展活动，吴地文化自然风光与人文建筑的精妙组合，令人无限向往。

Early in the morning of October 19th, the teachers and students of MS&HS were ready to go on a two-day trip to Suzhou, full of anticipation. The first fall field trip after several years to the exquisite combination of natural scenery and humanistic architecture of the Wu culture is desirable.

两个小时的车程不算漫长，不知不觉中同学们就被眼前的太湖美景瞬间吸引了！稍作休息之后，在教练的带领下，他们迫不及待地进行组队、破冰等活动。每个年级各组成一队，穿上和队旗颜色相匹配的背心，远远望去，仿佛一片花的海洋。

The two-hour drive was not too long, and before one realized it，the students' eyes were instantly attracted by the beauty of Taihu Lake in front of them! After a short break, under the leadership of the coaches, they couldn't wait to form teams and participate in other activities. Each grade formed a team, wearing vests that matched the colors of the team flag, and from a distance, it looked like a sea of flowers.

接下来是四组拓展活动轮换进行。在碧波荡漾的划皮划艇环节中，大家需要坚定信念，不畏困难，紧密协作，协调一致向前行。在飞盘比赛中，同学们需要善于捕捉时机，准确无误传飞盘，此时个人的竞技能力和团队的拼搏精神得到了充分展现。在四国大战扔沙包环节中，出色的协调能力，与队友们配合默契的团队精神也是必不可少的。最后，参观非遗馆让大家深入了解了苏州当地的非物质文化遗产的历史和文化内涵，拓宽了视野，认识到传统文化的珍贵和保护非物质文化遗产的重要性。通过这次拓展活动，同学们不仅锻炼了身体、提高了技能，还深刻领悟到了坚定意志和矢志不渝的精神对于人生的重要意义。无论是在学习、工作还是生活中，只有坚定信念、勇攀高峰、精益求精、坚持不懈地追求目标，才能取得成功。

The next part of the activities was divided into four rotations. In the rippling waves of the kayaking session, we need to be firm in beliefs, not afraid of difficulties, and closely collaborate. In the Frisbee game, students need to be accurate in passing the Frisbee; at this time, the individual's athletic ability and the team's spirit of hard work has been fully demonstrated. In the Battle of Four Nations sandbag throwing session, excellent coordination skills and team spirit is also essential. 

Finally, the visit to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum allowed everyone to gain an in-depth understanding of the history and cultural connotations of the local intangible cultural heritage of Suzhou, broadening their horizons and highlighting the preciousness of traditional culture and the importance of protecting intangible cultural heritage. Through this outreach activity, students not only exercised their bodies and improved their skills, but also deeply realized the importance of strong will and unswerving spirit for life. Whether in study, work or life, we need to have the perseverance in the pursuit of goals in order to achieve success.

夜幕降临，繁星点点，同学们万分期待的篝火晚会也如约而至。在足球场团团篝火的温暖陪伴下，同学们围成一个个圆圈席地而坐，唱歌，做游戏，回忆往事......和谐的气氛弥漫着幸福与喜悦。秋风习习的太湖畔之夜，洋溢着复旦附中国际部中学部整个集体的温馨。

As the night fell and the stars dotted the sky, the bonfire party that the students were looking forward to came as promised. Under the warmth of the bonfire on the soccer field, students sat on the ground in a circle, sang songs, played games, and reminisced about the past…

The harmonious atmosphere was filled with happiness and joy. The night by the Taihu Lake in the autumn breeze was filled with the sense of community of Fudan International School.

“上有天堂，下有苏杭”，苏州园林美名扬。对苏州人文景观的探访也是此行的目的之一。一夜舒眠之后，同学们收拾行囊，向最富盛名的拙政园出发。拙政园别具一格的景观设计，巧妙地融汇了人文与自然的元素，打造出独一无二又具有传统韵味的江南美景。纷繁的花草树木与亭台楼阁交相辉映，让人心旷神怡。毗邻的苏州博物馆中，一件件展品无声述说着吴地悠久的历史，而博物馆本身的设计也结合了苏州本有的建筑风格与韵味。在领略人文与科技密切结合的同时，同学们跨学科的综合思维能力也进一步加强，这有助于他们更好地适应和面对未来社会的发展。

“While there is paradise above, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou like earthly paradises.” Suzhou gardens are famous for their beauty. Visiting the humanistic landscape of Suzhou was one of the objectives of the trip. After a good night's sleep, the students packed their bags and set off to the most famous Humble Administrator's Garden. The unique landscape design skillfully blends humanistic and natural elements to create a unique and traditional beauty of Jiangnan. The  variety of flowers, trees and pavilions

are a refreshing sight. In the Suzhou Museum adjacent to the Garden, exhibits tell the story of the city's long history, while the design of the museum itself incorporates Suzhou's own architectural style and flavor. While the students appreciate the close integration of humanities and science and technology, their interdisciplinary thinking skills were further strengthened, which will help them better adapt to and face the development of the future society.

活动期间，学生事务办公室主管田老师也对同学们在旅程中的出色表现进行了赞扬，并就各个年级的特色颁发了奖杯和奖品。

During the trip, Ms. Sally Tian, Dean of the Student Affairs Office, also praised the students for their outstanding performance during the journey and awarded trophies and prizes for each grade level's specialties.

在实践中乐此不疲，在探索中汲取新知，同学们的户外实践之旅像一曲动人的乐章，探索着科技与人文的交融，文明与艺术的映衬。愿同学们继续用一双新奇的眼睛不断追求生活中的美与智慧，激发出创造力的火花，成为更好的自己。

We hope that in these experiential learning opportunities, students enjoy themselves in practice and acquire new knowledge in exploration, exploring the blend of science and technology and humanities, and reflecting on civilization in art. 

They not only gained valuable friendship and trust, but also sharpened their will and perseverance in practice, making each other's hearts stronger. May students take this valuable experience and experience with them, keep exploring and pursuing on the road of life, and become better selves!
