复旦附中国际部第二届TSCA 展

The 2nd TSCA Fair



5月31日,第二届TSCA Fair在学生和老师们的期盼中成功举办。初中部的学生们对一年来在TSCA课上的收获与成果进行了一次集中展示。用丰富的活动形式、有趣的活动内容,以及富有学术性的成果,为前来参观的五年级及高中部学生们提供了一场“智趣探究”的绝妙体验。数十位家长与老师也来到现场参观,了解了这一特色校本课程如何帮助学生建立起书本与现实之间的联系。

On May 31, the second TSCA Fair was successfully held in anticipation of the students and teachers. The students of the middle school put on a showcase of what they have learned and achieved in their TSCA classes throughout the year. With a variety of activities, interesting content, 

and academic achievements, the fair provided a wonderful experience of “intelligent exploration” for the G5 and high school students who came to visit. Dozens of parents and teachers also came to visit the site to learn how this special school-based program helps students make the connection from books to reality.

流言终结者

6A  Myth Buster

在《流言终结者》电视节目中,亚当·萨维奇通过一系列的实验来验证一个个神秘的流言。6A学生仿照节目中的研究过程,选择自己感兴趣的话题来设计实验,并通过小纪录片的形式,展示自己的研究过程与结果,从而体会实验科学在各个领域中应用的可能性。在TSCA Fair上,屏幕播放着学生们自制的小纪录片,在观看后,观众可以参与互动演示实验,尝试氦气如何使自己变声,或者面包是不是真的会像墨菲定律说的那样果酱面着地。观众们也可以现场观看细菌培养皿,看到动物的脚掌和人手上细菌的区别。他们也可以尝试用乒乓球浮起迷你泰坦尼克号。学生们对于这些富有创意的实验都兴奋不已,纷纷尝试,家长们也看到了这一项目对学生综合能力的培养,对学生可以完成从实验设计到脚本写作到镜头运用的多方面任务表示赞叹。  

The program “Myth Buster” features a series of experiments in which the author Adam Whitney Savage verify a myth. Imitating the research process in the program, G6A students chose a topic of their interest to design an experiment and presented their research process and results in the form of a mini-documentary, thus appreciating the possibilities of applying experimental science in various fields. At the TSCA Fair, a screen plays the students' homemade mini-documentaries, and after watching them, viewers can participate in interactive demonstration experiments to try out how helium can make one's voice change,

 or if bread really does land jam-side up like Murphy's Law says it should. Viewers could also watch a live bacteria petri dish and see the difference between the bacteria on an animal's paw and a human hand. They can also try to float a miniature Titanic with a ping pong ball. Students were excited to try these creative experiments, and parents saw how the program fostered the overall abilities of the students and marveled at how the students were able to accomplish a wide range of tasks, from experimental design to script writing to camera use.

物件中的历史

6B  History in Objects

6B 的TSCA项目主题是《物件中的历史》,在一场专业性的展览中,学生们用16个物件向观众呈现游戏的历史与发展。展厅里,学生们为观众娓娓道来这16个物件背后的象征意义与故事;展厅外,填词游戏、“你搭我猜”等与展览相匹配的教育活动也在火热进行中,赢得游戏的观众将获得学生亲手设计的文创产品。

展厅内外的视觉设计,从协调相映的主题选色,到亮眼的立体标题墙,再到精致的展板展签,处处与学生精彩的导览讲解相辅相成。该展览从展品选择、学术研究、文本撰写,到视觉设计、活动策划、文创开发,无不彰显着策展学生团队的洞见与匠心,获得了众多观众的喜爱与好评。

The theme of G6B's TSCA project was "History in Objects", in which students used 16 objects to present the history and development of games to the audience in a specialized exhibition. Inside the exhibition hall, students told the audience the symbolism and stories behind the 16 objects; outside the hall, educational activities matching the exhibition such as crossword puzzles and "You Match, I Guess" were also in progress, and those who won the games would be awarded with cultural and creative products designed by the students.

The visual design inside and outside the exhibition halls, from the coordinated color selection of the theme, to the eye-catching three-dimensional title wall, to the exquisite exhibition boards and exhibition stickers, are complemented by the wonderful guided tours given by the students in every aspect. From the selection of exhibits, academic research, and text writing, to visual design, activity planning, and development of cultural and creative products, the exhibition demonstrated the insight and craftsmanship of the curatorial student team and won the love and praise of many visitors.

咖啡馆项目

7A  Cafe  Project

TSCA 咖啡馆项目有两个集市活动。一个是寻宝游戏,参与者必须回答 7A 班学习之旅介绍中的几个问题。另一项活动则更加有趣,参与者可以在五分钟内制作一个电梯推销方案,并试图说服指定的学生(作为投资者)为自己的想法投资。参与者似乎对活动非常投入和满意,尤其是推销活动。参与者可以与 7A 班的学生互动,还可以体验咖啡馆提供的产品!参与者的反馈非常积极,尤其是在电梯推销方面。

There were two fair activities for the G7A’s TSCA cafe project. One was a scavenger hunt, in which participants had to address several questions from presentations of the learning journey that class 7A embarked on. The other was a more fun activity, in which participants could create an elevator sales pitch within five minutes and attempt to convince designated students, 

acting as investors, to invest in their ideas. Participants seemed very engaged and satisfied with the activities, especially the sales pitch activity. Participants could engage with students from class 7A and could also experience the products that the cafe offered! Feedback from participants was very positive, especially regarding the elevator sales pitch.

短视频制作项目

7B  Micro-Video Making

7B的TSCA项目主题是短视频制作,学生们深入锤炼了剧本编写、视频拍摄以及后期编辑的技能。这些能力的锻炼不仅让他们在专业领域内获得了显著的提升,更在TSCA展览上大放异彩。展览现场,学生们精心制作的短视频预告片吸引了众多目光,他们通过展示道具模型、分享拍摄技巧,以及使用拍立得与“明星”合影等互动环节,将观众带入了一个充满创意与乐趣的世界。此外,学生们还自行设计并发放了观影宣传册和徽章,通过趣味拼图和有奖问答等游戏,让观众在参与中得到了启发,体验到了短视频制作的魅力。

7B学生Emily说:“作为这次活动的参与者和策划者,我发现像说‘方言’、唱‘老歌’这样的文化现象并不过时,我们青少年也很喜爱。科技助力人类文明地传承与发扬,我们青少年义不容辞。”

The theme of 7B's TSCA program was micro video production, and the students honed in-depth skills in script writing, video shooting, and post-editing. The exercise of these abilities not only enabled them to gain significant improvement in their professional fields, but also made a big splash at the TSCA exhibition. At the exhibition site, the micro video trailers crafted by the students attracted a lot of attention. They brought the audience into a world full of creativity and fun by displaying props and models, sharing their shooting skills, and taking photos with the "stars" using Polaroid and other interactive sessions. 

In addition, the students also designed and distributed  their own movie brochures and badges, and through fun games such as puzzles and quizzes, the audience was inspired to experience the charm of short video production.

Emily, a 7B student, said, "As a participant and planner of this event, I found that cultural phenomena such as speaking in dialect and singing old songs are not outdated, and our teenagers love them. It is incumbent upon us teenagers to help pass on and promote human civilization through technology."

品牌创新路演

8A  Brand Innovation

 and Roadshow

在这项引人入胜的活动中,学生们分组合作,各自选择自己喜欢的品牌。他们利用自己的创造力重新构想产品,同时获得创业艺术方面的实践经验,目标是创新和振兴传统品牌。学生们在路演中向观众进行了电梯演讲,向他人传达了自己的商业理念,并收集了他们的反馈意见。经过 2 个小时的路演,学生们感到疲惫但充实。他们学会了如何向陌生人推广自己的想法。

In this engaging activities, students worked collaboratively in groups, each selecting their preferred brands. They utilized their creativity to reimagine products, while simultaneously gaining hands-on experience in the art of entrepreneurship, with the goal of innovating and revitalizing traditional brands. 

Students gave elevator pitch in road shows to the audience, communicating their business ideas to others and gathering feedbacks from them. Students were fulfilling and tired after 2 hours' road shows. They learned how to promote their ideas to strangers.

为社区服务的3D模型

8B  3D Modeling for

 Community Service

在 TSCA 展上,8B班的同学们展示了多个由他们自己设计的3D模型及主题海报,并向老师、学生和家长讲解和演示了该项目,同时同学们也协助现场观众设计自己的3D模型。观众们对3D模型设计表现出浓厚的兴趣,对同学们的想象力与创造力表示钦佩,并为自己学到了一个新技能而感到开心。这次活动让8B班的同学感到充实和自豪,这也激励着他们不断进取,继续探索和创新。

At the TSCA Fair, Class 8B students displayed several 3D models and themed posters designed by themselves, explained and demonstrated the project to teachers, students and parents, and they also assisted the audience in designing their own 3D models. 

The audience showed great interest in 3D model design, admired the students' imagination and creativity, and were happy that they had learned a new skill. This activity made Class 8B students feel fulfilled and proud, which also inspired them to keep moving forward and continue to explore and innovate.

TSCA是一门以学生为中心的综合性课程,旨在培养学生的思考、合作、交流以及实践能力。TSCA以探究性教学和体验式学习为特色。学生每学期会完成一个实践性项目,在现实场景中应用学科知识,建立对跨学科概念的理解,从而培养学生终身学习的方法与能力。TSCA Fair是学生们学年学习成果的展示,在这一过程中,他们对于自己学到的知识与技能又有了更深的认识与体会,也有了更多的可以发挥自己创造力的空间和实践经验的积累。

The TSCA course is a student-centered, comprehensive course that aims to develop students' thinking, collaboration, communication, and practical skills. The TSCA program is characterized by inquiry teaching and experiential learning. Students will complete a practical project each semester to apply subject knowledge to a real-world scenario, 

build an understanding of interdisciplinary concepts and develop lifelong learning skills and approaches. TSCA Fair is a showcase of the students' learning achievements in the academic year, in which they have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the knowledge and skills they have learned, as well as more space to develop their creativity and accumulate practical experience.
