Ode to the Mid-Autumn Night
In the embrace of autumn’s glow,
The harvest moon begins to show,
With silver threads in the velvet sky,
A gentle balm as time drifts by.
Lanterns flicker, soft and bright,
Guiding souls in the tranquil night,
Families gather, hearts entwined,
Reunions blessed, love unconfined.
Mooncakes round, with flavors sweet,
A taste of joy, a special treat,
Each bite whispers tales of old,
Of cherished dreams and bonds of gold.
The scent of osmanthus fills the air,
As laughter dances, free and fair,
With wishes cast on the lunar beam,
May your hearts find peace and dreams gleam.
So raise a glass to the shining sphere,
To love and friendship, hold them near,
As the moonlight bathes the world in peace,
May joy and fortune never cease.
Happy Mid-Autumn, let spirits soar,
Embrace the warmth, forevermore,
Under the moon’s exquisite light,
May your days be blessed, your future bright!
