In this beautiful September, with the refreshing autumn breeze and the warming fragrance of cinnamon, CBS Foundation conducted a variety of activities. The children were able to deepen their understanding of the traditions of Chinese culture, feel the festive atmosphere, and cultivate their patriotic enthusiasm.
小班的小朋友们用他们的创意和小手，为我们带来了一场别开生面的兔子月亮拓印之旅。
The Pre children used their creativity and tiny hands, to create a rabbit and moon craft to celebrate the festival.
中班的小朋友们深入了解了与中秋相关的故事“玉兔捣药”、“嫦娥奔月”，制作了玉兔拓印和扇子。
The children in K1 developed an in-depth understanding of the story related to the Mid-Autumn Festival through the story exploration of "Jade Rabbit Stamping Medicine" and, "Chang 'e Flying to the Moon". They created a beautiful jade rabbit rubbing and fan, based off the festive stories they heard.大班的小朋友们一起学习了古诗《古朗月行》，对着如玉盘如瑶台镜一般的月亮进行畅想，还用不同方式制作玉兔创意画。
The K2 children learned the ancient poem "Gulang Moon Walk", they considered why the moon would be described as a plate, and created a variety of artworks of the jade rabbit, using many different materials.小班的小朋友们认识了中国国旗——“五星红旗”，并进行了一场激动人心的寻宝游戏，找寻藏在户外的五星红旗。瞧，他们用五彩的画作，绘出对祖国的热爱；用纯真的童心，感受节日的喜悦。
The children in Pre-school got to know the Chinese national flag and had an exciting scavenger hunt to find the flag hidden outdoors. To further celebrate the country of China, they used brightly coloured paint to decorate their China flag craft.
中班小朋友们通过阅读绘本《我的祖国》，了解国庆节，体会中国文化的独特魅力，还用各种材料制作国庆手环、风车等。对于假期安全，小朋友们也都了然于胸，主动提醒好朋友们。
The K1 children read the picture book "My Motherland" to understand National Day. To celebrate Chinese culture, they used various materials to make National Day bracelets, windmills and so on. For the holiday safety breifing, the children also learned how to take care of themselves and others.
每周一，学前部都会举行升旗仪式，大班小朋友会带领全体小朋友齐唱国歌。另外，在中文课上，通过赏析诗歌《家》，并尝试用相关句式进行创编，让孩子们感受到了“祖国是我家”以及表达了自己对祖国的热爱之情。
Every Monday, the flag-raising ceremony will be held at the front of the school, and the children of K2 learned to lead all the children in Foundation to sing the national anthem. Additionally, in Chinese class, the children explored the poem, "Home", and used relevant sentence patterns to express their feelings and love for China.
节日庆祝活动的开展，让孩子不仅感受到了节日的欢乐和喜庆，更在潜移默化中加深了对中华优秀传统文化的了解和认同！爱国主义教育在稚嫩的心灵播下一颗颗小种子，让孩子能积极的探索吸收正能量，收获人生的大格局。铮铮的情感，在发酵；深深的祝福，在传递：祝亲爱的祖国，75岁生日快乐！
The combination of the two festivals encouraged the children to not only feel the joy of the festivals, but also deepen their understanding and recognition of traditional Chinese culture! Patriotic education can sow small seeds in their minds, that later flourish into positive experiences throughout their lives. Throughout the variety of activities explored in the last few weeks, children have expressed deep wishes and blessings for China: “Happy 75th birthday!”
