On Friday, October 17, 2024, the establishment meeting of the seventh parent committee of Changwai Bilingual School was successfully held in Foundation Auditorium.
本次会议由CBS学发中心代天旺副主任主持。出席会议的有常州外国语附属双语学校执行校长李亚男女士，各学部校长、德育副校长、德育协调员及各班家委会代表。
This meeting is hosted by Mr. Ressol Dai, the vice director of the SDC. School leaders in attendance include Ms. Nancy Lee, executive principal of CBS. Leaders of each department and all parents council members.
会议伊始，学发中心代天旺副主任对各位家委代表的与会表示欢迎和感谢。他强调，成立家委会的主要目的是加强家长与学校的联系，提高家长参与学校管理的积极性，推进学校工作健康有序发展，有效促进学生全面健康发展。
At the beginning of the meeting, Ressol expressed welcome and gratitude to the representatives of all parent committees for attending. He emphasized that the main purpose of establishing the parent committee is to strengthen the connection between parents and the school, increase parents' enthusiasm for participating in school management, promote the healthy and orderly development of school work, and effectively promote the all-round healthy development of students.
执行校长李亚男女士进行会议致辞。她分享了CBS在过去一年取得的成绩和学校发展的良好态势，肯定了家委会在学校发展过程中的贡献，并强调了家校合作在培养学生综合素质方面的重要性，同时也寄予了学校对家校合作的期盼与承诺。随后，李校长为新一届家委会成员颁发聘书，对他们的工作表示诚挚感谢。
Ms. Nancy Lee, the executive principal of CBS, delivered a speech at the meeting. She shared the achievements made by CBS over the past year and the positive momentum of the school's development. She affirmed the contribution of the parent- school in the school's development process and emphasized the importance of home-school cooperation in cultivating students' comprehensive qualities. She also conveyed the school's expectations and commitment to home-school cooperation. Subsequently, Principal Li presented appointment letters to the new members of committee and expressed her sincere gratitude for their work.
新一届家委会主任严美华女士发表了热情洋溢的讲话。她对大家的信任表示感谢，并承诺带领家委会积极与学校合作。她强调了家长与学校之间沟通与合作的重要性，将共同为学生创造更好的学习环境。
Ms. Yan Meihua, the director of the new parent committee, delivered a passionate speech. She expressed her gratitude for everyone's trust and promised to lead the parent committee to actively cooperate with the school. She emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation between parents and the school to jointly create a better learning environment for students.
随后，家长们参与了各学部家委会工作的讨论。讨论热烈而富有成效，家长们分享了自己的想法和经验。就如何组织亲子活动、改善沟通渠道、加强家长与教师合作等话题展开了积极讨论。
Subsequently, parents participated in the discussion on the following work. The discussion was lively and productive. Parents shared their ideas and experiences reagarding topics such as how to organize parent-child activities, improve communication channels, and strengthen cooperation between parents and teachers.
家委会的成立是常外附属双语学校推进家校合作的重要一步。通过这个平台，家长和学校可以更紧密地合作，为学生提供更好的教育资源和支持。随着讨论的结束，家长们充满了热情和责任感，期待为搭建更好的家校平台贡献力量。
The establishment of the parent committee is an important step for CBS to promote home-school cooperation.
