关于认识论课程 What is TOK?
TOK是IBDP课程的三大核心之一,即“认识论”。作为IBDP独有的特色课程,TOK主要的课程目的在于让学生探索、发现学科之间的联系和知识的本质,学习批判性地思考课内和课外获得的知识与经验。学生们最终需要完成一次学习成果展和一篇1600字(中文2000字)的论文。
TOK (Theory of Knowledge) is one of the three cores of IBDP curriculum. As a unique characteristic course of IBDP, the main purpose of TOK is to enable students to explore and discover the connections between disciplines and the essence of knowledge, and learn to critically think about the knowledge and experience gained in and outside of class. Students ultimately need to complete a learning achievement exhibition and a 1600 word (2000 words in Chinese) paper.
“认识论成果展”是TOK课程的内部评估,学生们需要从IBO官方设定的35道问题中选择一个最感兴趣的,通过分析现实生活中的三个物件对所选问题进行多角度的讨论。它要求同学们从习以为常的学习和生活环境中抽离,从认识论的角度进行审视和思辨,去反思日常中认知的环境、过程和结果。
TOK Exhibition is an internal assessment of the TOK course, students need to choose the one that interests them the most from the 35 assessment prompt questions officially set by the IBO, and discuss the selected question from multiple perspectives by analyzing three real-life objects. It requires students to detach from the familiar learning and living environment, examine and speculate from an epistemological perspective, and reflect on the cognitive environment, process, and results in daily life.
9月14日下午,常外双语高中部举办了IBDP“认识论(Theory of Knowledge, TOK)成果展”。本次成果展不仅是DP2学生核心课程及评估的一部分,也是向IB课程的学子们传递着其探索求真的行动,并帮助激发他们未来学习的兴趣与思考。
CBS High School held an IBDP "TOK Exhibition" on the afternoon of September 14th. This exhibition is not only part of the cores and assessment for DP2 students, but also conveys their exploratory and truth-seeking actions to IB students, and helps stimulate their interest and thinking in future learning.
在成果展中,DP2的同学选取了来自国际文凭组织(IBO)官方提供的35个关键性问题中的部分进行深入研究。这些问题涉及知识的生产、传播、理解和应用。例如,“偏见在知识生产中是否不可避免?”、“拥有或缺乏知识有何影响?”以及“新知识是否可以改变既有的价值观或信念?”等。学生们通过展示现实生活中的三个物件,从多个角度分析和讨论这些复杂的问题,展现了他们的学术思考和批判性思维能力。从问题设定到物件选择,从展板制作到现场讲演,DP2同学们在每一个环节都付出了诸多努力,力求完美地呈现探究结果。
In the TOK exhibition, DP2 students selected some of the 35 key questions provided by the IBO for in-depth research. These issues involve the production, dissemination, understanding, and application of knowledge. For example, "Is prejudice inevitable in knowledge production?", "What impact does having or lacking knowledge have?", and "Can new knowledge change existing values or beliefs." Students demonstrated their academic and critical thinking abilities by presenting three real-life objects and analyzing and discussing these complex issues from multiple perspectives. From problem setting to object selection, from exhibition board production to on-site presentations, DP2 students have put in a lot of effort in every aspect, striving to present their research results perfectly.
本次成果展吸引了高中部许多师生前来参观,DP2的同学们不仅热情地介绍了自己的研究成果和展物,还积极与学弟学妹们交流互动,细致解答他们的各种问题,如关于展物的背景、选题思路以及如何将生活中的物件与认识论的研究相结合等等。与此同时,TOK老师Mr. Alan和Ms. Sherry也给出了自己的见解与建议,或又站在另一个思考角度为同学们提供了宝贵思路,加深了对知识问题的理解。深度的思想交流和碰撞、审慎思考后的互动与对话让这一刻的高中部大厅更显学术的严谨和求实求真的魅力。
This TOK exhibition attracted many teachers and students from high school to visit. DP2 students not only enthusiastically introduced their research results and exhibits, but also actively communicated with younger students, answering their questions in detail, such as the background of the exhibits, topic selection ideas, and how to combine objects in life with epistemological research. Meanwhile, TOK teacher Mr. Alan and Ms.Sherry also provided their own insights and suggestions, or offered valuable ideas from another perspective for students, deepening their understanding of knowledge questions.
常外双语高中部IBDP课程一年一度的TOK成果展不仅让DP2学生展示了如何在认识论的框架下进行反思性思考和分析,从而更好地理解知识的本质和其复杂性,也为DP1和Pre-DP的同学们提供了一个宝贵的学习平台,激发他们对TOK课程的兴趣与自信。接下来,DP2的同学们还将面临更大的挑战——TOK命题论文的考核,希望同学们继续努力,稳稳拿下每一次小赢!
The annual TOK Exhibition not only showcases how DP2 students can engage in reflective thinking and analysis within the framework of epistemology, thereby better understanding the essence and complexity of knowledge, but also provides a valuable learning platform for DP1 and Pre-DP students, inspiring their interest and confidence in TOK learning. Next, DP2 students will face even greater challenges - TOK essay in prescribed title. We hope that students will continue to work hard and steadily win every small victory!招生升学
