“字字”不倦，笔绘中秋丨CBS小学部第一届汉语言素养大赛

在这个金风送爽、丹桂飘香的中秋佳节，CBS PYP开展了一场以“‘字字’不倦，笔绘中秋”为主题的小学部第一届汉语言素养大赛。本次活动不仅是一场汉字文化的传承之旅，更是一次中外学生共话友谊、同赏月圆的文化交流盛会。活动根据学生年级分为低段和高段两场精彩的对决，吸引了各班学生和老师的热情参与。

Just before this Mid-Autumn Festival, where the golden wind is cool and the osmanthus is fragrant, a unique cultural feast - the first Chinese language literacy competition of the primary school with the tireless voice and theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival was successfully concluded in the hall of the primary school. This event was not only an exploration of Chinese culture, but it was also a cultural exchange, a time to be in community with and to share with foreign students. Chinese and international people got to grow in friendship and enjoy the full moon together.

活动当天，学部内洋溢着浓厚的文化氛围。一年级的小朋友们作为赛前演出的主力军，用他们稚嫩而充满童真的声音，为即将上场的选手们加油打气，他们的歌曲表演赢得了在场师生的阵阵掌声。一年级同学们的精彩表现，不仅为比赛增添了欢乐的气氛，也展现了他们对汉语学习的热爱。随着一年级小朋友演出的结束，正式的比赛拉开帷幕。

On the day of the event, an ancient and living Chinese spirit was strong throughout the school. The first-grade children performed a song for the upcoming contestants with the force of this spirit, and as they sang, they won bursts of applause from the teachers and students. The wonderful performance of the first-year students not only added a joyful atmosphere to the competition, but also showed their love for Chinese culture. At the end of this performance, the official competition began.

首先，母语组学生们按照抽签顺序依次上台。比赛分为三轮，第一轮是写词语，由老师报出词语学生听写。比赛过程中，选手们个个凝神静气，或提笔疾书，或细细斟酌，一笔一划间尽显对汉字结构的深刻理解与尊重。第二轮是读词语，选手们需要在20秒内读出相应的词语，这考验了选手们语文学习上的扎实基础和良好素养，现场气氛紧张而热烈，现场观众也都全神贯注地参与进答题中。第一、二轮结束后，根据比分计算，排名前三的选手将进入下一轮。最激动人心的莫过于第三轮抢答题环节。这一轮比赛不仅考验了选手们的文学知识储备，更挑战了他们的应变能力和心理素质。主持人刚提出问题，选手们便纷纷举手抢答，争分夺秒地给出答案，现场气氛也达到了高潮，观众们都为选手们的精彩表现欢呼喝彩。

The native Chinese students were the first to take the stage. They were chosen randomly from a lottery. The competition was divided into three rounds with the first having them write words, which the teachers read out to them. The second round was to read words in a race against the clock. They needed to read the corresponding words in 20 seconds. The atmosphere was tense and enthusiastic, and the audience was also deeply engaged. After the first and second rounds, the top three players advanced to the final. This last round of the competition not only tested the literary knowledge of the contestants but also challenged their adaptability and critical thinking. As soon as the host asked a question, the contestants raised the flags in their hands to answer, racing against time to give answers. The tension only increased until finally a winner was revealed. The audience cheered for the wonderful performance of the contestants.

随后，非母语组学生们接力上场，他们同样展现出了对汉字学习的热情和努力。在第一轮听写词语中，尽管面临一定的挑战，但非母语组学生们依然认真书写，尽力展现自己的汉字水平。第二轮限时读词语环节，非母语组学生们虽然发音上有些许不同，但他们勇于尝试，用尽全力去读好每一个词语，这种精神赢得了在场师生的赞赏。第三轮的抢答题环节，他们同样全力以赴、认真答题，展现出了他们对中文学习的热情，赢得了评委和观众的一致好评。

Subsequently, the non-native students took to the field, and they also showed their enthusiasm and hard work in learning Chinese characters. In the first round of dictation, despite the challenges, the non-native students wrote carefully and did their best to show their Chinese character skills. In the second round of limited-time reading, even though their pronunciation was slightly different, the non-native students showed their courage and focus, which won the appreciation of the teachers and students present. In the third round of question and answer, the non-native students also gave extraordinary effort, showing their enthusiasm for Chinese learning, and they won well-earned praises from the judges and the audience.

经过三轮激烈的比拼，最终评选出了各年级的优胜者。学部对获奖选手进行了表彰和奖励，鼓励他们继续保持对语文学习的热情，不断提升语言文字素养。同时，学部也对所有参赛选手及指导老师们表示了感谢和肯定。

After three rounds of fierce competition, the winners of each grade were finally selected. The faculty commended and rewarded the winners, encouraging them to continue to maintain their enthusiasm for Chinese learning and continuously improve their literacy. With the successful conclusion of the CBS PYP 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival Chinese Literacy Competition, we not only witnessed the growth and progress of the children in Chinese learning, but we also felt the profound charm of Chinese culture.
