This represents that the English curriculum system, teaching and research quality, teaching staff level, and teaching achievements of CBS have all been officially recognized by the organizer of the IELTS test. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, on this crisp autumn day, the unveiling ceremony of CBS “IELTS Beacon School” was grandly held.

Ms. Nancy Lee, executive principal of CBS, Mr. Huang Yongtao, principal of high school department, Ms. Luna Han, principal of the MYP & director of CBS academic center, Mr. Ressol Dai, deputy director of CBS student development center and leader of the English group of CBS high school department, and Ms. Celia Gao, representative of the IELTS official, jointly witnessed this important moment. The establishment of the “IELTS Beacon School” marks a new height for CBS in the field of English education.

At the unveiling ceremony, Ms Nancy Lee delivered an impassioned speech, emphasizing the importance of English education and stating that CBS will take the “IELTS Beacon School” as a new starting point, continuously improve teaching quality, and strive to cultivate outstanding talents with an international vision.
雅思官方代表高惠萍老师在发言中重点强调了雅思官方对 “雅思示范中学” 在雅思教学和学生考试中，如何更好地协同学校提升整体的教学水平和学生的考试成绩，为学生的英语水平和学校的语言教学提供更好的支持和服务。
In her speech, Teacher Gao, the representative of the IELTS official, emphatically emphasized how the IELTS official can better collaborate with the school to improve the overall teaching level and students' test scores in IELTS teaching and student examinations for the “IELTS Beacon School”, and provide better support and services for students' English proficiency and the school's language teaching.
