As the autumn grows cooler, teachers from Changwai Bilingual School once again gathered for the second session of the "CBS Talk" lecture series. This session featured a special guest, Ms. Miranda Shen, a distinguished English teacher in Jiangsu Province. With her profound academic background and rich teaching experience, she delivered an insightful presentation on the theme "The Way and Technique of Research Project."
沈老师在讲座中深入剖析了课题研究的精髓,她提出:“课题研究的道是方向,述是谋略;只有方向正确,方法才能发挥其应有的效用。”她从选题之道、研究之道、撰写之术三个维度,细致入微地分享了宝贵的经验和独到的见解。
In her lecture, Ms. Miranda delved into the essence of research project. She explained, "The way of research project is the direction, and the technique is the strategy; only with the correct direction can the method be fully effective." She shared valuable experiences and unique insights from three dimensions: the way of choosing a topic, the way of conducting research, and the technique of writing.
在选题之道环节,沈老师特别强调,研究的方向必须是教师们内心真正愿意长期投入的领域。她提出,课题的研究对象、内容及策略应在题目中得到清晰的体现,以确保研究方向的明确性。同时,沈老师还精辟独到地讲解了摘要的撰写技巧,为教师们提供了实用的指导。
During the section on choosing a topic, Ms. Miranda emphasized that the research direction must align with areas in which teachers are genuinely willing to invest long-term effort. She pointed out that the research objects, content, and strategies should be clearly reflected in the topic to ensure clarity in the research direction. Additionally, she offered insightful advice on writing abstracts, providing practical guidance for teachers.
研究之道部分,沈老师强调了问题意识、透彻理解、系统思维及深度研究的重要性。她重点讲解了课题研究的框架结构,以及课题报告的各个组成部分,为在场教师提供了丰富的实用信息。
In the section on the way of conducting research, Ms. Miranda stressed the importance of problem awareness, thorough understanding, systematic thinking, and in-depth research. She focused on explaining the framework of research project and the components of a research report, offering the teachers valuable and practical information.
讲座最后,沈老师通过展示优秀的课题研究案例,引导教师们共同梳理研究背景、研究价值的内涵与逻辑,帮助教师们理解研究成果与研究内容逻辑上要一以贯之前后呼应,最终掌握撰写之术。
Towards the end of the lecture, Ms. Miranda presented exemplary research cases, guiding the teachers to analyze the research background and the underlying value and logic of the study. This helped the teachers understand how research findings and content should logically align, creating a coherent and consistent structure, and ultimately mastering the techniques of writing.
在讲座接近尾声时,沈老师通过让老师们运用思维导图的方式,自己产出学习成果,使得讲座内容更加生动、实用。
As the lecture neared its conclusion, Ms. Miranda encouraged teachers to use mind maps to summarize their learning outcomes, making the content of the lecture more engaging and practical.
