看到如下句话，顺便分享一下“人设”以及相关的英文表达：In the digital era, a carefully crafted persona has become more valuable than contest results. (NYT)persona这个词thefreedictionary解释如下：The role that one assumes or displays in public or society; one's public image or personality, as distinguished from the inner self. 这个解释，非常清晰地把persona指向了“人设”这个词。 一个人网上的人设，就可以说online persona，社交媒体上的人设，就是social media persona. 当然，一个人在特定社交媒体上的人设，也可以直接用社交媒体的名字，比如his Facebook persona, her TikTok persona。 然后我用"crafted persona has"去搜索了一下，看后面是否有崩塌的表述，发现最常用的fall apart. 比如： Over the last few months, this carefully crafted persona has fallen apart.也有说...persona has been shattered，不过我想，既然fall apart可以，fall to pieces应该也可以，正好接近汉语中的“人设碎了一地”这样的表述。fall to pieces除了有碎了的意思，还有to become ruined or destroyed.
