后台有人问我，“心事”一词如何翻译，这个正好很容易解决，我就顺便公开回答一下。
英语中有个短语，have something on one's mind, thefreedictionary解释的意思是to be thinking about someone or something, perhaps to the point of preoccupation。
所以问一个人是否有心事，就可以说Do you have something on your mind？说一个人心事重重，就可以说He has a lot on his mind. 当然，更书面的表达便可以用上文的preoccupied. 比如：
He looks deeply preoccupied.
His chief preoccupation is how to feed his family.
