Matthew Byrne is a British poet who was awarded his Creative Writing MA from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009. He was active in the poetry scene in Manchester, founding the Unsung Collective and the Unsung Magazine—culminating in the creative writing festival, UnsungFest, in the summer of 2012. He moved to Beijing in 2013 and founded the Spittoon Collective (www.spittooncollective.com) and Literary Magazine in 2016 in which he operates as Director. He also played drum and sang in three bands in Beijing: Macondo, Paths, and Peking Floyd. Spittoon is a platform that supports and sustains literary and artistic collaborations between the Chinese and the World. It organizes poetry and fiction reading nights, story telling, workshops, a music-poetry collaboration called Spit-Tunes, and the Spittoon Literary Magazine.马修·伯恩,英国诗人,2009年毕业于曼切斯特城市大学,获创意写作硕士学位,曾活跃于曼彻斯特诗歌现场,创办Unsung社区及其刊物The Unsung Magazine,并于2012年夏举办创意写作节UnsungFest。2013年到北京工作,2020年返回英格兰生活。他曾是北京三支乐队Macondo, Paths, Peking Floyd )的鼓手和主唱。2016年创立 Spittoon 社区 (www.spittooncollective.com),并担任负责人至今。Spittoon 是一个中外文学和艺术社区,主办有诗歌之夜、小说之夜、故事之夜,以及糅合了音乐与诗歌的SpitTunes 等,旗下有双语独立文学杂志Spittoon Literary Magazine。
