Wukong and his master came to Yingchoujian in Longpan Mountain. The water in the mountain stream here is crystal clear. Tang Seng wanted to fetch water to wash his face.
悟空师徒一行来到龙盘山鹰愁涧。此处涧水清澈见底，唐僧欲打水洗脸。
Suddenly, with a "splash", a white Long suddenly jumped out and stretched out its claws to catch Tang Seng. Wukong was quick-eyed and quick-handed. He hugged Tang Seng and jumped three or four miles away.
突然，“哗” 的一声，一条白龙猛地窜出，伸爪就要抓唐僧。悟空眼疾手快，一把抱住唐僧，跃出三四里远。
Seeing that he couldn't catch up with the Great Sage, the white Long swallowed the white horse in one gulp and then sank into the water.
白龙见追不上大圣，竟一口将白马吞下肚，而后沉入水中。
After Wukong settled his master, he displayed his extraordinary ability to churn the sea and turn over the river, stirring the water in the mountain stream into rolling waves.
悟空安顿好师父后，施展出搅海翻江的本领，把涧水搅得浪花滚滚。
The white Long couldn't bear it anymore. He jumped out of the water and said, "Where are you from, monster? Why are you bullying me like this?"
白龙忍无可忍，蹿出水面说道：“你是何处来的妖怪，这般欺负我？”
Wukong replied, "Return my horse, and I will spare your life."
悟空回应道：“还我马，便饶你性命。”
The white Long said, "I ate the horse and can't spit it out."
白龙却说：“我把马吃了，又吐不出来。”
Wukong angrily said, "Then I will kill you to pay for the life of the horse!"
悟空怒言：“那我就打死你，给马抵命！”
However, the white Long couldn't defeat Wukong. So he turned into a water snake and "swished" into the grass and refused to come out no matter what.
然而白龙斗不过悟空，便变成一条水蛇，“嗖” 地钻入草丛中，死活不肯出来。
Wukong was just about to go and call for reinforcements, but he was worried that Tang Seng would be left unguarded. While he was hesitating, the god who was secretly protecting Tang Seng invited the Bodhisattva.
悟空正准备去搬救兵，却又担心唐僧无人照顾，正在犹豫之际，暗中保护唐僧的神仙请来了菩萨。
The Bodhisattva told Wukong, "Wukong, the white Long is the son of the Long King of the West Sea. Because he set fire to the night pearl in the Jade Emperor's palace, he was sentenced to death. I pleaded with the Jade Emperor, and the Jade Emperor agreed to let him carry Tang Seng to the Western Heaven. You just need to call out, 'Prince Yulong, Third Son of the Long King Aorun, the Bodhisattva is here.', and he will come out."
菩萨告知悟空：“悟空，白龙乃是西海龙王之子，因放火烧了玉皇殿上的夜明珠，被判死刑。我向玉帝说情，玉帝答应让他驮唐僧去西天。你只需叫‘敖闰龙王玉龙三太子，菩萨来了’，他便会出来。”
As soon as Wukong called out, the Long indeed came out and saluted. The Bodhisattva blew a breath of immortal energy and said, "Change." In an instant, the white Long turned into a white horse. The white horse carried Tang Seng and continued to head west.
悟空刚叫完，那龙果然出来行礼。菩萨吹口仙气，说了声 “变”，白龙瞬间变成一匹白马，白马驮着唐僧继续往西前行。
