Originally, when the fire was raging at Guanyin Temple, the blaze startled the Black Bear Demon on Black Wind Mountain.
原来，正在观音禅院里大火熊熊燃烧时，火光惊醒了黑风山上的黑熊精。
This Black Bear Demon was a friend of the old monk, and when he came to help extinguish the fire, he saw the shining cassock and developed a greedy desire, stealing it in passing.
这黑熊精是老和尚的朋友，赶来救火时看到金光闪闪的袈裟，竟起了贪念，顺手牵羊将袈裟偷走了。
Wukong arrived at Black Wind Mountain and while walking, overheard someone talking, so he stopped to listen carefully.
悟空来到黑风山，正走着听到有人说话，便侧耳倾听。
He heard one person say, "The day after tomorrow is my birthday. Yesterday I got a splendid Buddhist robe. By then, I invite you both to come to the 'Buddhist Robe Gathering'."
只听一人说道：“后天是我生日，昨天我得了一件锦澜佛衣，到时候，请二位来开‘佛衣会’。”
The other two people responded in unison, praising the idea.
另外两人齐声应和叫好。
Upon hearing this, the monkey could not hold back, jumped out, and shouted, "You bunch of demons, you stole my cassock and still want to hold a 'Buddhist Robe Gathering'? Taste my staff!"
那猴头一听，忍不住跳了出来，大声喝道：“你们这群妖怪，偷了我的袈裟，还想开什么‘佛衣会’。吃我一棒！”
With that, Wukong swung his staff and struck down, killing a snake demon on the spot.
说罢，悟空举棒就劈了过去，当场打死了一条蛇精。
Then, he turned to chase a large black man, who transformed into a gust of black wind and fled.
接着，他转身去追一个黑大汉，那黑大汉化作一股黑风向前逃窜。
Wukong quickly pursued and shouted, "Where do you think you're going, demon? Take this blow from your Grandpa Sun!"
悟空赶忙紧紧追上，大声喝道：“妖怪哪里逃？吃你孙爷爷一棒。”
He raised his golden staff and brought it down, but the demon dodged to the side.
只见金箍棒凌空打下，那妖怪侧身躲过。
The two then fought fiercely for more than twenty rounds, with neither gaining the upper hand.
二人就此大战了二十多个回合，却不分胜负。
The demon blocked Wukong's staff and said, "Let me have my meal first, and then I'll fight you again."
妖怪架住悟空的棒说：“等我吃过饭再来打。”
Wukong replied, "Return my cassock first, then go have your meal."
悟空则回道：“还我袈裟再去吃饭。”
The demon made a feint and retreated into his cave, shutting the door and refusing to come out again.
那妖怪虚晃一枪，便钻进洞里，关上洞门，再也不出来应战了。
