Tang Seng and his disciples arrived at Gao Village late in the evening and sought lodging at a local household.

唐僧师徒来到高老庄，天色已晚，便找了村里的高太公家借宿。

The village elder, Gao Taigong, was deeply troubled, explaining that his daughter had been taken by a demon three years ago.

高太公愁眉苦脸地告诉他们，他的女儿三年前被一个妖怪强行霸占。

Sun Wukong reassured him, saying, "Old man, don't worry. Tonight, I will catch the demon and return your daughter to you."

孙悟空听后，安慰道：“老公公，别担心，今晚我一定抓住妖怪，把你的女儿还给你。”

That night, Wukong transformed into Gao Taigong's daughter and waited in her room.

当天晚上，孙悟空变成高太公的女儿，坐在房中等候。

Before long, a pig-faced, big-bellied demon entered and immediately tried to embrace Wukong.

不一会儿，一个猪脸大肚子的妖怪进了屋，一进门就扑向“女孩儿”。

Wukong grabbed the demon and wiped his face, revealing his true self, saying, "You fool, take a look at who I am."

悟空见状，立刻抓住妖怪，并用手一抹脸，露出真容，说：“呆子，看看我是谁！”

The demon turned and saw the girl had transformed into a monkey, and in fear, turned into a beam of light and fled to the mountains.

妖怪回头一看，眼前的“姑娘”变成了猴子，吓得立刻化作一道金光，逃回山洞。

Wukong, holding his Golden-Banded Staff, pursued him relentlessly.

悟空提着金箍棒，紧追不舍。

The demon escaped back to his cave and grabbed a nine-toothed rake, swinging it at Wukong.

妖怪逃回洞中，拿出一把九齿钉耙，对准悟空就打。

Wukong mocked him, saying, "What a dutiful son-in-law, bringing a rake to plow the fields!"

悟空戏谑道：“好孝顺的女婿啊，耙地的耙子都带上了。”

The demon, who was actually Marshal Tianpeng from the Heavenly Palace, recognized Sun Wukong as the monkey who had caused havoc in Heaven.

原来这妖怪正是天宫的天蓬元帅，看到孙悟空，认出了他是曾经大闹天宫的猴子。

He angrily shouted, "You lowly stableman, why have you come here to ruin my plans?"

他便怒骂道：“你这弼马温，跑来坏我的好事做什么？”

Wukong replied, "I am now protecting Tang Seng on his journey to the West, and we passed through this place."

悟空回应：“老孙如今跟随唐僧去西天取经，途经此地。”

"I heard you had taken Gao Taigong's daughter by force, so I came to deal with you."

听闻你霸占高太公的女儿，所以来找你算账。”

Upon hearing Tang Seng's name, the demon immediately dropped his rake and said,

妖怪听到“唐僧”这个名字，立刻放下钉耙，说：

"Guanyin Bodhisattva gave me the name 'Wuneng' and instructed me to wait here for the pilgrims heading to the West."

“观音菩萨给我取名‘悟能’，让我在此等候西天取经的队伍。”

"Take me to meet him."

“你带我去见唐僧吧。”

Wukong grabbed the demon by the ear and brought him before Tang Seng, explaining the situation.

悟空揪着妖怪的耳朵，把他带到了唐僧面前，说明了情况。

Tang Seng then gave the demon a new name, calling him "Zhu Bajie."

唐僧了解情况后，给妖怪起了个新名字，叫“猪八戒”。

From then on, Zhu Bajie left Gao Village and joined the group on their journey to retrieve the scriptures.

于是，猪八戒告别了高老庄，加入了取经的队伍。
