Para 1: The committee agreed to let Emily lead this effort.

With renewed hope, she organized a meeting with the other group's leader, Jake, who initially appeared skeptical about merging their events, raising concerns about losing visibility and support for his cause. Emily, however, came prepared. Armed with data about both teams, she meticulously outlined how a joint event could amplify their outreach and create a larger impact on the community. Her sincerity shone through as she passionately explained how the combined efforts would not only bolster donations but also foster a spirit of unity in Springdale. Gradually, as he recognized the potential benefits of collaboration, Jake's doubt transformed into intrigue.

Para 2: After days of negotiation, Emily finally got a positive reply.

As the days flew by, the two teams coordinated tirelessly, creating a vibrant event filled with food, music, games and community booths. On the big day, people flocked to the combined setup, enjoying the various activities while their donations multiplied. After cleaning up, they counted the contributions, shocked to find they had raised twice their original goal. The crowd erupted in cheers. Then, looking at Laura and Jack’s smiley faces among the jubilant group, what Helen Keller said suddenly surfaced in Emily's mind: “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
