十二月，这个微寒却不失温暖的冬月里，我们共同迎来了以“Open-minded”为主题的升旗仪式。
In December, a season both chilly and warm, we gathered to hold a flag-raising ceremony themed “Open-minded”.
胸怀天地，方能容纳万物；心系远方，才可开拓未来。此次仪式，全体师生在思想的碰撞与情感的交融中，感受开放襟怀的力量。
Only with an open heart can we embrace all things; only with vision can we expand horizons. During this ceremony, our teachers and students alike experienced the power of open-mindedness through the exchange of ideas and emotions.
大音希声处，思想若翩翩
当我们谈论“Open-minded”时，不禁想起林则徐先生“海纳百川，有容乃大”的智慧格言。两位来自三年级的学生代表为我们带来了主题演讲，他们以真挚的语言与生动的故事，诠释了开放心态如何引领我们走向更宽广的天地。
When we talk about being “Open-minded,” the famous saying of Lin Zexu, “The ocean admits hundreds of rivers; tolerance brings greatness,” comes to mind. Two student representatives from Grade 3 delivered a speech, vividly illustrating how an open mindset leads us toward broader horizons.
从对校园多样文化的包容，到对个人成长中的挑战保持乐观，他们以“百川归海”“明月入怀”等意象，向我们展现了心怀广阔的美和力量。
From embracing cultural diversity on campus to maintaining optimism when facing personal challenges, they used metaphors such as “all rivers flow to the sea” and “the moonlight enters the heart” to beautifully convey the value and power of an open mind.
以梦为飞马，诗书趁年华
“桂冠诗人活动如期而至，这不仅是一场诗意与文字的盛会，更是学生开放思想与创造力的舞台。在这里，每一位参与者都可以用自己的笔触描绘世界，用灵感的火花点亮心中的星辰。”无锡协和双语学校联合校长马博士（Mr Max）向我们介绍道。
“The Poet Laureate program returns once more—not merely a celebration of poetry and prose but a stage for students to showcase their creativity and open-minded thinking,” explained Mr. Max, Co-Principal of Wuxi United International School.
无论是轻柔细腻的抒情，还是天马行空的想象，都将成为连接文学与心灵的桥梁。这项活动，让我们看到了开放思维的力量，并预见了学生们如何将自己的感悟化作生动的诗句，书写属于他们的青春篇章。
Whether through subtle, heartfelt expressions or bold flights of imagination, each participant has the chance to connect literature with the soul. This program revealed the strength of open thinking, envisioning how students transform their insights into vivid poetry, crafting a unique chapter of youth.
步履千山远，胸怀万象宽
开放的襟怀，不仅体现在思想与文学中，也闪耀在体育与艺术的舞台上。我校中学部篮球队和足球队的运动员们以团结与拼搏精神，分别斩获“协和杯”冠亚军的殊荣；我校小学部足球队也表演突出，获得了2024年锡山区青少年阳光体育活动“一等奖”的佳绩。他们用行动诠释了团队合作与开放心态的意义。
Open-mindedness shines not only in thought and literature but also on the fields of sports and art. Our middle school basketball and football teams achieved runner-up and championship titles, respectively, in the SUIS Cup, while our primary school football team earned first prize in the 2024 Xishan District Youth Sunshine Sports Competition. Their teamwork and tenacity exemplified the essence of collaboration and open-heartedness.

与此同时，我校小学部杨利亚老师在锡山区第23届教师技能大赛荣获二等奖。小学部王芳老师在艺术创作中也展现了非凡的才华，其版画作品荣获第四届江苏省中小学教师美术书法作品展一等奖；另外，王芳老师在无锡市教职工网络文化主题活动中，荣获绘画作品类特等奖。
Meanwhile, our teachers have also excelled. Ms. Yang Liya from the primary school won second prize in the 23rd Teacher Skills Competition of Xishan District, and Ms. Wang Fang’s artistic achievements have been remarkable. Her printmaking was awarded first prize in the 4th Jiangsu Province Art Exhibition for Teachers, and she also received the Top Prize in the Wuxi Teachers’ Online Culture Activity for her paintings.
从知识到技能，从版画到绘画，老师们杰出的表现不仅展现了个性与灵感的碰撞，也折射出教育事业中包容与创造的力量。无论是绿茵场上的汗水，还是丹青妙笔下的韵律，都为“Open-minded”的主题注入了鲜活的诠释。
From knowledge to skills, from printmaking to painting, these outstanding performances reflect not only the interplay of individuality and inspiration but also the creativity and inclusiveness essential to education. Whether through the sweat shed on the sports field or the rhythmic strokes of artistic expression, all these contributions breathe fresh life into the theme of “Open-minded.”
风物长宜放眼量。无论是在学习中接纳新知，还是在生活中拥抱变化，开放的心态如同阳光，能够驱散阴霾，照亮前行之路。从三尺讲台到操场赛场，从诗词林苑到艺术天地，开放的胸襟让我们的校园焕发出无限生机与活力。
An open mindset is like sunshine, dispelling shadows and illuminating the path forward. Whether it’s embracing new knowledge in learning or welcoming change in life, open-mindedness enables growth and vitality. From the classroom to the sports field, from the literary gardens to the artistic realm, open-heartedness fills our campus with boundless energy and vitality.
愿每一位师生都能在无锡协和这片开放的沃土上，汲取成长的养分，开拓思想的边界——在共同书写校园未来的篇章中，拥有属于自己的光彩夺目的一笔。
