   2024年3月26日-3月31日,与孩子们共同学习了科林分级阅读绘本五级<<going up>>。通过对本篇绘本的学习,孩子们了解到高山不同区域的生态环境和自然景观。

     本书的主题是人与自然,属于科普类的语篇。本书介绍了高山不同区域的生态环境和自然景观。山脚下,生长着枝繁叶茂的绿树,对动物熊来说,是个生存的好地方。山的上面一些,也生长着一些树木,但是他们的叶子都被白雪覆盖,这里还生活着雪山羊。山中部,很冷,没有树木。但是,春天的时候,漫山遍野都是绿草和野花。再往上一些,更冷了,没有草,地面被岩石和冰层覆盖,这里生活着狼、牦牛和雪山羊,冬天的时候,这些动物会下山去,因为太冷了。山顶部,极其寒冷,寒风凛冽,人们不适合在此停留。

通过介绍高山上不同区域的自然景象、气温特征和高山动物,让读者更好地了解高山的生态环境,引导他们欣赏大自然之美,鼓励人们多多参与登山运动,提高身体素质的同时,领率自然风光之美,激发他们探索大自然奥秘的兴趣,增强每个人的生态环境保护意识,树立人与自然和谐共处的理念。

      该文本体裁为说明文,分别介绍了高山五个不同区域的生态环境。全篇使用了一般现在时,核心句型为 …is / are here. It is ...文本中出现了描述物体和天气的形容词:tall,good, long, cold, windy,还有描述自然景象和动植物的名词 flowers,grass,trees,leaves,goat,yak,wolf,rock等词汇。文中还叠用副词very用来加强语气,绘本中的图片还能帮助读者更好地了解到高山上的自然生态环境,深切感受大自然生态之美。

      每次的绘本阅读,孩子们都充满了浓厚的兴趣。拿到绘本后,他们总是先对绘本封面仔细地进行观察。通过观察封面内容,同学们了解到本次绘本的题目是Going up,猜测绘本可能会讲登山者,那么绘本里面真的是谈论登山者吗?他们带着一个个问题兴奋地读着它。

   The picture book ' Going Up' is a pleasant diversion from standard educational textbook. By the virtue of it's topic - high altitude climbing - It offers students a unique opportunity to imagine themselves climbing the highest peaks on our planet. The book is structured around the mountain - it's natural vegetation and wildlife zones. It starts with the deciduous and coniferous forests, then progresses to alpine meadows to finish on barren rocks and mountain top. This structure of the book offers students and insight into geography and wildlife of the mountains and naturally spurs students' curiosity towards this topic, what is highly beneficial in teaching.

  The beautiful, high-quality pictures in the book also draw student's attention. The relatively little amount of text makes students more interested in engaging with it, as there are little words to be learned. At the same time, the books ask questions that aim to stimulate students' thinking and logical reasoning. For example: Why the animals can't stay close to the mountain top in winter, despite their long hair?. Or ' What's the temperature during the spring on the mountain?' These questions give teacher the opportunity to teach students about the real world and stimulate their thinking, using the English language purely as a medium to explore the natural wonders of this world.

    Overall, the book is a useful and valuable resource for English teachers. The focus on the natural world, stimulation of students logical thinking and concise text make this material an important aid for any English teacher.
