东莞市科普专项资助项目丨科学家进校园活动走进宏远外国语学校

11月22日,东莞市宏远外国语学校成功举办“科技赋能生命科学,智慧引领细胞未来”——科学家进校园科普活动,本次活动是东莞市科普专项资助项目,由东莞市科学技术协会指导,广东医科大学主办,近200名宏外学子与医学专家共同探索细胞与生命科学的奥秘。

On November 22nd, our school successfully held a science popularization activity on the campus with the theme of "Technology Empowers Life Sciences, Intelligence Leads the Future of Cells". This event was a science popularization special funding project of Dongguan City, guided by the Dongguan Association for Science and Technology, and hosted by Guangdong Medical University. Nearly 200 students and medical experts jointly explored the mysteries of cell and life sciences.

校长寄语:学科学技术,做时代新人

宏远外国语学校常务校长孙国福先生在致辞中表示,科技是国家强盛之基,创新是民族进步之魂。希望同学们能充分利用对科学技术的热爱,开拓眼界,探索未知,承担科技强国之重任,开拓创新实践之新篇,在科技创新的浩瀚海洋里找到自我、成就自我,争做堪当强国建设、民族复兴大任的时代新人。

Mr. Sun, the executive principal, delivered a speech. He stated that technology is the foundation of national strength, and innovation is the soul of national progress. He hopes that his classmates can fully utilize their love for science and technology, take on the responsibilities of building a strong country through science and technology, and strive to become the new generation within the era, of the great task of national rejuvenation.

专家授课:共启“元生命探索之旅”

The expert took us on a journey of exploring meta life.

活动现场,广东医科大学基础医学院生物技术系副主任、东莞市医药生物技术重点实验室主任肖业臣教授为同学们带来了一场奇特的生命科学课,为学生们开启了一段“元生命探索之旅”。

肖教授结合现实生活中的实际案例,通过图文并茂的方式将深奥的生命科学知识讲解得浅显易懂。他向同学们介绍了干细胞是形成人体各组织器官的原始细胞,具有自我复制能力和多向分化潜能,在人体新陈代谢中起着关键作用,并讲述了造血干细胞在生活当中的应用,激发了同学们对生命科学的浓厚兴趣。在肖教授演讲过程中,同学们全神贯注地倾听、记笔记,学习氛围浓厚。

Professor Xiao Yechen brought a unique life science class to the students, embarking on a journey of exploring meta life.

Professor Xiao combined real-life examples to explain profound life science knowledge in a simple and understandable way. He introduced that stem cells are primitive cells that form various tissues and organs in the human body, with self-replication ability and multi-directional differentiation potential, playing a key role in human metabolism. He also talked about the application of hematopoietic stem cells in daily life, inspiring the students' strong interest in life sciences.

互动交流:引发深度思考,拓宽科学视野

Interactive communication broadened

our students' scientific perspectives.

在互动环节中,同学们积极踊跃地提问,与肖教授进行了充分的交流。肖教授耐心地解答了同学们的问题,引导同学们深入思考,进一步拓宽了他们的科学视野,并给予了同学们宝贵的建议和鼓励。

The students had ample communication with Professor Xiao during the interactive session. He patiently answered the students' questions, guided them to think deeply, further broadening their scientific horizons, and gave them both valuable advice and encouragement.

科技的兴盛关乎民族的兴衰,科技的强大决定国家的强弱。本次科学家进校园科普活动,为同学们点燃了求知的欲望和探索的热情,照亮了奔赴生命科学的道路。宏远外国语学校将持续以学生成长为本,以国家发展为纲,积极营造浓厚的科学技术学习氛围,为学生们提供更多学习的机会,培养他们的科学素养和创新能力,让孩子们在探索科学奥秘的过程中,求真务实、勤于思考、勇于创新,为实现科技强国贡献自己的青春力量。

The level of technology is closely tied to the rise and fall of a nation and determines the strength of a country. This activity ignites a students' desire for knowledge and enthusiasm for exploration. Our school will continue to prioritize student growth and national development, actively creating a stronger atmosphere for scientific and technological learning, providing more learning opportunities for students, to cultivate their scientific literacy and innovation ability, and contribute our youthful strengths to achieving a strong technological country.
