会议背景
汉语形式语义研究国际研讨会旨在为海内外语义学学者提供一个交流最新研究的平台。该研讨会先后在北京语言大学（2019）和香港中文大学（2023）举办。本会议希望重新讨论并审视西方语义学理论的合理性，找到现有理论分析对汉语相关现象的适用性，通过从汉语事实出发提出新的观点和理论，并最终推动形式语义学在中国的发展，同时提升中国学者对该学科的参与和贡献。
“第三届汉语形式语义研究国际研讨会”将于2024年4月19-21日在浙江大学紫金港校区举行。本次会议由浙江大学文学院和香港中文大学语言学及现代语言系联合主办，会议主题为“形式语义学的汉语研究与理论创新”。

摘要为A4纸一页；英文摘要使用Times New Roman 12号，中文摘要使用宋体小四号。
提交两个版本的论文摘要：（1）作者匿名摘要（PDF版本）；（2）带所有个人信息的摘要，包括姓名、机构、电子邮件地址等（MS Word版本）。

Call for Abstracts
The 3rd International Symposium on Formal Approaches to Meaning in Chinese
The International Symposium on Formal Approaches to Meaning in Chinese is an international conference that emphasizes using logical tools (first-order logic, Boolean algebra, lattice theory, etc.) to analyze various Chinese semantic phenomena. The symposium provides a venue for scholars to share their latest research findings on Chinese formal semantics, with the ultimate goals of (i) critically evaluating current theoretical assumptions and existing analytical frameworks of formal semantics, (ii) finding the limitations and deficiencies of existing theoretical analyses of natural languages, especially Chinese, and (iii) proposing new analyses and theories, which will further promote the theoretical development of formal semantics in China.
The 3rd symposium will take place at Zhejiang University (ZJU), Hangzhou, China during 20-21, Apr 2024. This conference is jointly organized by the School of Chinese Language and Literature, ZJU, and Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages , The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
We invite abstract submissions for oral presentations on topics pertaining to (but not limited to) the semantics of quantification and plurality, eventuality, degree semantics, modality and possible world semantics, conditionals and negation and monotonicity, and information structure (topics and focus articulation), with a particular reference to Chinese. There will also be a special session on “Semantic composition of nominal phrases and eventuality”.
You are welcome to submit your abstract in English or Chinese (Font 12, one page only) to zjulinguistics@163.com on or before 1 March.
