The Autumn Equinox is when the Sun is right above the Equator, making day and night the same length. As the 16th solar term, it marks the midpoint of autumn, bringing cooler weather and shorter days. People celebrate by eating crabs, picking fruits, enjoying flowers like chrysanthemums, and playing the egg-standing game. It’s also an important time for farmers to harvest crops and plant for winter.
秋分是太阳位于赤道正上方的时候，这一天昼夜等长。作为第16个节气，秋分标志着秋天已经过去一半，天气更加凉爽、白昼时间缩短。秋分时节，人们吃螃蟹、采摘水果、赏花(如菊花)和玩立蛋游戏。对于农民来说，秋分也是一个收获庄稼、种植冬季作物的时节。

1. It's time for 表示“当前是做某事的时候”。

2. It's a time for表示“某一个特定的时期是……的时刻”，强调某个时期适合做某些事情。

1. 阴阳平衡：秋分这天很特别，白天和黑夜的时间差不多一样长。古人觉得这一天，阴阳达到了平衡，就像大自然在告诉我们要和谐相处。
The Autumnal Equinox is a special day when day and night are almost equal in length. Ancient people believed this was a time when yin and yang were in balance, like nature reminding us to live in harmony.
2. 秋分的三候：秋分有三候，一候“雷始收声”，意思是秋分之后不再打雷了；二候 “蛰虫坯户”，春天出来的小虫子会在秋分后陆续回到土里，准备过冬；三候“水始涸”， 水气不再像夏天那样充沛，很多沼泽和水洼变得干涸，空气也变得越来越干燥。
There are three pentadsduring the Autumnal Equinox. First pentad, “the sound of thunder starts to fade,” meaning that there will be no more thunder after the Autumnal Equinox. Second pentad, “insects begin to burrow,” which means the little bugs that came out in spring will start heading back to the ground to prepare for winter. Lastly pentad, “water begins to dry up,” indicating that the air is getting drier and many marshes and puddles are drying out, unlike the summer.
3. 农作物收获：秋分标志着丰收季的到来，农民们忙着收割稻米和玉米。这个时候也是种植冬季作物的好时机，真是个忙碌又快乐的时刻！
The Autumnal Equinox signals the start of the harvest season! Farmers are busy picking rice and corn, and it’s also a perfect time to plant winter crops. It’s a busy yet joyful time for everyone!
4. 美味的食物：在一些地方，大家会在秋分这天吃特定的食物，比如螃蟹和秋菜。人们认为这些食物能帮助我们更好地迎接寒冷的冬天。
In some areas, people enjoy specific foods on the Autumnal Equinox, like crabs and autumn veggies. These tasty dishes are believed to help us get ready for the chilly winter ahead.
5. 秋天的变化：秋分时节，天气逐渐变凉，有些树叶的颜色会从绿色逐渐变成黄色或者红色，把秋天装扮得分外美丽，因此，秋分也是秋游的好时节。
During the Autumnal Equinox, the weather starts to cool down, and the leaves on some trees change color from green to beautiful shades of yellow and red, making the fall scenery even more stunning. That’s why it’s a great time for autumn outings!
