10月22日至24日,小学部一至五年级的学生们纷纷来到了博物馆,开展了一系列富有教育意义的学习活动。五条年级的孩子们踏上了一场穿越时空的旅程,探索了不同主题的内容。
From October 22 to 24, students from grades one through five embarked on educational journeys to various museums. Each grade explored different themes, taking them on a cross-temporal journey through history and culture.
G1 Learning Experience at Minhang District Museum
结合探究主题“我们的学校和社区”, 一年级的孩子们前往闵行区博物馆,探索万源协和所在的闵行区的地域历史与发展脉络。在“上海县七百年”展厅内,孩子们探索了在七百年历史长河中,上海县的兴衰浮沉以及在这片土地上人们的生产、生活及其历史文化成就。此外,孩子们还参观了 “中国民族乐器文化展”、“马桥文化展”和特色“孔子文化主题展”。孩子们在开心愉快的气氛里获得了满满的乐趣。
As part of the inquiry theme “Our School and Community,” first-grade students visited the Minhang Museum, delving into the rich history and development of the Minhang District, where WanYuan Xiehe is located.
During their visit, students engaged with the “Seven Hundred Years of Shanghai” exhibition, learning about the evolution of Shanghai over the past seven centuries, including insights into the daily lives and cultural achievements of its people.
Additionally, students explored the “Chinese National Instrument Culture Exhibition,” the “Maqiao Culture Exhibition,” and a special “Confucius Culture” exhibition. They thoroughly enjoyed this enriching experience, gaining valuable insights into their local heritage.
G2 Learning Experience at Guang Fu Lin Park
围绕“上海”这一探究主题,二年级的孩子们参观了广富林遗址。围绕5项学习技能,孩子们从上海的起源出发,了解这座伟大而多元的城市。孩子们知道了上海是什么时候第一次正式称为“上海市”,并出现在地图上。他们还看到了远古时代的人是如何建造房子的。孩子们参观了老上海的商店,看看老上海的商品是如何销售的。他们还登上了上海最早的一列火车。孩子们依依不舍地从一个展馆走到另一个展馆,观察了一个又一个古代木雕制品和陶器的细节,获得了不少关于“上海的过去”的有趣知识!
Second-grade students had a successful learning experience at Guang Fu Lin Park, focusing on the five core learner assets to explore the history of Shanghai. Beginning with the city's origins, they learned about Shanghai’s establishment and saw how early homes were built.
They explored old shops to understand how goods were sold in the past and observed one of Shanghai’s earliest trains. Moving from exhibit to exhibit, they noticed details from ancient times, using their map skills to navigate the park and compare historical artifacts with modern-day life.
G3 Learning Experience at Chenshan Botanical Garden
三年级学生本学期科学课一直在学习“植物”主题, 辰山植物园就成了深入探索主题的绝佳去处。这一天,三年级的孩子们观看了一段科普影片,穿过一片美丽的花海,在三大展览温室中探索、观察,并完成了一份探究手册。这次博物馆的植物学习之旅,不仅使他们原有的植物知识体系得到了巩固与深化,更在实践中锤炼了他们的科学思维与调查研究技能。孩子们享受了一段愉快的植物园之旅。
Third-grade students, who have been studying “Plants” in their science curriculum, visited Chenshan Botanical Garden to further explore this theme. They watched an educational video, strolled through a beautiful sea of flowers, and explored three large greenhouses, where they observed plants and completed an inquiry workbook.
This museum visit not only strengthened their knowledge of plants but also honed their scientific thinking and investigative skills. The students enjoyed a delightful, hands-on learning experience at the botanical garden.
G4 Learning Experience at the Snack Museum
在参观上海零食博物馆的过程中,四年级的孩子们深入探索了零食的历史、生产及运输过程。他们了解了零食在不同历史时期的变化,并将其与当前所学的知识进行了有机的结合。
During their visit to the Shanghai Snack Museum, fourth-grade students dived into the history, production, and transportation of snacks. They discovered how snacks have evolved over time, connecting this learning with their current studies. This unique exploration allowed them to better understand the production processes and changes in snacking habits across different historical periods.
G5 Learning Experience at the World Expo Museum
五年级的孩子们参观了世博会博物馆,在参观相关展览和模型的过程中,孩子们都化身成为了小探险家。结合“迁徙”的主题,他们了解了这个有着160年历史的博览会,知道了它是是如何帮助各国发展的,也学习了他们在艺术、技术等领域的发展。
孩子们了解到随着时间的推移,为了城市,国家和地球的进步,我们的人类社会因此发生的变化、挑战和进步。孩子们度过了一段美好的时光。
A day of exploration and learning awaited fifth-grade students at the Shanghai World Expo Museum. In line with the theme of Migration, students transformed into “explorers” as they engaged with exhibitions and models showcasing the World Expo’s 160-year history.
They learned how the Expo has helped nations progress and collaborate in various fields, from art to technology. The students appreciated seeing how global developments have contributed to making better cities, stronger nations, and a healthier planet.

This series of museum trips not only enriched the students' knowledge but also ignited a passion for history and culture, inspiring them to explore the world around them.
