9月24日下午,闵行区六七年级联合英语教研活动在我校顺利开展。本次活动主题为:上好新教材,落实新课标---双新背景下的初中英语跨学科教学实践。闵行区初中英语教研员艺琳老师和沈秉权老师莅临指导,全区近480位英语老师全程参与了本次活动。
本次活动由教学展示、微论坛说课、现场点评和活动总结四个板块组成。
On the afternoon of September 24th, joint English teaching and research seminar for sixth and seventh graders in Minhang District was held at our school. The theme of this event is “Middle School English Interdisciplinary Teaching Practice in the Context of Dual Innovation”. Ms. Yilin, English Subject Leader at Minhang District level, was present the whole seminar. Nearly 480 English teachers participated it.
This seminar is composed of four sections: demo lessons, mini lecture for lesson introduction, on-site interaction, and event summary.

6AU3 Viewing and listening: Food groups
林老师的视听课基于文本内容,引导学生参与小组讨论,发挥想象力,对食物进行分类,通过观察膳食宝塔图,对其特征和结构进行总结和归纳。同时也超越文本,通过问题链设计,激发深度思考,挖掘“Eat the rainbow”背后的意义,进一步提升学生分析、比较、判断以及创造的能力。此外,这节课也充分体现了英语跨学科教学实践的主题意义,巧用音视频资源来处理多模态语篇,学生在听和看的过程中,进一步了解食物搭配的合理化、多样化、科学化,提升平衡膳食意识,助力学生健康成长。

Leo’s class is grounded in text content. It leads students to engage in group discussions, allows students to use their imagination to classify foods, and summarize and generalize their features and structures by observing the food pagoda. Simultaneously, Mr.Lin’s class design goes beyond the text. Through the design of question chains, it triggers deep thinking and uncovers the significance behind "Eat the rainbow", further enhancing students' abilities in analysis, comparison, judgment and creation. Additionally, this lesson fully embodies the thematic significance of English interdisciplinary teaching practice. It skillfully utilizes audio and video resources to handle multimodal texts. In the process of listening and watching, students gain a deeper understanding of the rationalization, diversification and scientific nature of food combinations, enhance their awareness of balanced diet, and contribute to the healthy growth of students.

7AU2 Project: Moving towards to a stronger self
孟老师的展示课围绕“成为更强大的自己”展开。通过巧妙的热身活动,带领学生感受积极话语产生的正面激励效果,营造了积极向上的学习氛围。随后,孟老师以自身开设公开课时所面临的挑战为例引入本课主题。学生通过阅读文本,积极思考、关联自我、勇敢表达和分享遇到的挑战以及内心的感受。本堂课的设计也实现了跨学科教学实践的意义,鼓励学生综合运用道德与法治学科知识,并借助名人名言、谚语、中文诗句等丰富的表达形式,创造性地分享悦纳自我、遵从内心、直面挫折、管理情绪等多个方面的宝贵建议。

Ms. Meng's class is centered around "Becoming a stronger self”. Through intricate warm-up activities, students are led to experience the positive motivational effect produced by positive words, creating an upbeat learning atmosphere. Subsequently, Ms. Meng introduced the theme of this lesson by taking the challenges she encountered when giving an open class as an example. Students actively think, relate to themselves, bravely express and share the challenges they have encountered and their inner feelings by reading the text. The design of this class also fulfills the significance of interdisciplinary teaching practice, encouraging students to comprehensively apply the knowledge of moral and legal education subjects and creatively share valuable suggestions in multiple aspects such as accepting oneself, following one's heart, facing setbacks head-on, and managing emotions by means of rich expression forms like famous quotes, sayings, and Chinese poems.
随后,授课教师和六七年级备课组教师代表结合本次研讨主题,结合课型特征,作了主题交流分享。六年级的视听课主要从如何充分合理利用视听资源有效组织教学展开思考,七年级聚焦如何将德育、道法融入英语教学,培养学生直面挑战的勇气和新教材在培养学生核心素养、落实学科育人方面的潜力。
Subsequently, Mr. Lin, Ms. Meng and teachers of the sixth and seventh grade English conducted a mini lecture for lesson introduction. Grade six mainly focuses on how to make full and reasonable use of audio-visual resources to effectively organize teaching. The seventh grade, on the other hand, concentrates on how to integrate moral education and ideological education into English teaching to foster students' courage in directly facing challenges, as well as exploring the potential of new textbooks in cultivating students' core qualities and implementing subject education.
在现场互动环节,来自鹤北中学的仇老师、七宝文来的唐老师和紫竹双语的周老师分别从有效课堂活动设计、课堂板书生成为输出活动提供脚手架、利用视听资源有效发挥学生的评价主体作用等方面对公开课进行点评和交流。
During the interaction session, three teachers from other schools offered their comments and exchanged valuable opinions on the open classes. They have shared opinions from various aspects such as designing effective classroom activities, generating blackboard writing to provide scaffolding for output activities, and effectively using audio-visual resources.
最后,闵行区初中英语教研员艺琳老师对本场活动做专家点评和活动总结。艺老师充分肯定了万源协和英语学科的教学成果和教研能力,并对后续“双新”背景下教研活动的开展提出了要求和设想。
Finally, Ms.Yi offered expert comments and summary of the seminar. Ms.Yi fully affirmed the teaching achievements and teaching research capabilities of WY English Group. She also put forward requirements and ideas for the subsequent teaching and research activities in the context of dual innovation.
1.研读教材 精准把握课型特征
艺老师强调教材语篇承载了表达主题的语言知识和文化知识,各校教研团队和教师要在充分解读课程标准的基础上,充分研读新教材,熟知新教材框架架构、设计理念,立足单元、优化单元教学设计。注意精准把握单课时的课型特征,尤其是针对新教材中的新课型,如视听课、Discovery和Project等课时,要进行教师个人研究和备课组、教研组集体研究相结合的形式,多多开展研读研究活动,并结合课堂教学进行课例研究。
2.基于学情 灵活运用课程资源
各校在开展新教材研究、思考和实践时,需充分考虑校情学情,合理安排课时,强调课前充分思考,解读语篇,合理设计教学,取舍资源。同时鼓励老师充分开发、有效利用课程资源,让课程资源成为“活水资源”,以更好的激发老师的教学智慧。最后,艺老师鼓励老师们在教学中开展跨学科教学实践,积极寻找初中英语跨学科教学实践的切入点,将跨学科研究潜移默化地渗透在日常的教学中。
Study textbooks thoroughly and accurately grasp the characteristics of lesson types. Ms.Yi emphasized that textbooks are the main carrier for cultivating students' core qualities. English teaching group and teachers, on the basis of curriculum standards, fully study the new textbooks, be familiar with the design concepts of the new textbooks, optimize unit teaching design, and accurately grasp the characteristics of single-lesson types. In particular, more case studies should be conducted on new lesson types in the new textbooks such as Viewing and Listening, Discovery, and Project.
Based on students' learning situations, teachers are encouraged to utilize resources flexibly. While conducting research and practice on the new textbooks, schools can, in light of students' learning situations, flexibly set the class hours for each unit. The importance of conducting further thinking, text interpretation, and reasonable selection of teaching content before class is emphasized. At the same time, teachers are encouraged to fully develop and effectively use curriculum resources to better stimulate teachers' teaching wisdom. Finally, teachers are encouraged to carry out interdisciplinary teaching practice in teaching and actively seek entry points for interdisciplinary teaching practice in Middle School English, and imperceptibly infiltrate interdisciplinary qualities into daily teaching.
