恭喜高中部学子赵云天ChrisZhao在John Institute写作比赛中获得全球第10名！
Congratulations to our SUIS WY High School student Chris ZHAO who has won the Global 10th place at the John Institute Writing Competition!
今年的John Locke竞赛吸引了来自全球的34823人参与者，相较于2020年的2740人，参赛人数增长了近12倍，在激烈的竞争中，大约只有16.9%的参赛者入围。其中Chris获得的Very High Commendation是今年新增的奖项，获奖率仅约前1%。赛事是由位于英国牛津大学的独立教育组织John Locke Institute与牛津、普林斯顿、布朗、白金汉大学等名校教授合作组织的学术项目。因此，John Locke竞赛也常被誉为“文科竞赛天花板”。
This year's John Locke Competition attracted 34,823 participants from around the world, an increase of nearly 12 times compared to 2,740 in 2020, with only 16.9 percent of entrants shortlisted in the fierce competition. A Very High Commendation for Chris was one of the awards that was added this year, winning only about the top 1 percent. The competition is an academic project organized by the John Locke Institute, an independent educational organization based at the University of Oxford in the UK, in cooperation with professors from Oxford, Princeton, Brown and the University of Buckingham. Therefore, the John Locke Competition is often referred to as the "ceiling of the liberal arts competition".

The yearly event Pep Rally, initiated, organized and coordinated by Highs School Students Committee was held in the 2F Gym to start this season of sports event chapters full of our students energy and spirit.
Primary School Parents Lecture
2024年9月30日，小学部五年级心理课堂在一楼大剧院内举行。本次心理课堂由P5E张馨之的妈妈给全体学生做了一次迈入青春期的主题教育。
On September 30th (Monday), Primary Schoo!Grade 3 Parents Lecture was held in the 1FThespis Hall. In this class, the mother of P5E Zhang Xinzhi gave all the students an education on the theme of entering adolescence.

2024年9月24日，小学部协和跨校区探究式教学教研活动在协和万源以课堂观察与课例分析的形式顺利进行。活动旨在促进各校区探究式教学领域教师专业发展。
On September 24, 2024, Xiehe Cross-campus inquiry based teaching and learning research activities were successfully completed in the form of classroom observation and lesson analysis at SUIS Wanyuan. The activity aimed to promote the professional development of teachers in the field of inquiry based teaching in various SUIS campuses.

On the afternoon of September 27, 2024, our middle school organized Chinese and foreign teachers to participate in the mentorship training activity to prepare for next week's student mentor activity.
Middle School Museum Education
9月25日，初中部六年级学生兵分两路，分别前往中华艺术宫与闵行博物馆；9月26日，七年级学生前往世界技能博物馆—共同开启了本学期的第一次博物馆学习之旅。
On September 25th, 2024 middle school G6 students went for the Museum Education activities in two groups aiming to the China Art Museum and Min Hang Museum. On 26th Sep, G7 students went to the World Skills Museum.

2024年9月30日，小学部三年级家长课堂在一楼大剧院内隆重举行。本次课堂请到了P3A的徐辰睿妈妈，她给孩子们带来了一堂“新能源，风力发电”为主题的精彩讲座。
On September 30th (Monday), Primary School Grade 3 Parents Lecture was held in the 1F Thespis Hall. This class invited mother Xu Chenrui from P3A, who brought a wonderful lecture on the theme of "new energy, wind power generation" to the children.

On September 24, 2024 (Tuesday), "Implementing the New Curriculum Standards with New Textbooks - Interdisciplinary Teaching Practice Activity of Middle School English under the Background of New Curriculum and New Textbooks’ Min Hang District Middle School English Subject Teaching Research activities were held successfully at SUIS WY. Our MS English teachers Mr LIN Cheng Bin and Ms. MENG Wen Ting displayed their teaching within the framework of the new G6 and G7 English textbook contents.

On the evening of September 26, 2024, we held the 8th Parent-School Cooperation Workshop of Wanyuan Campus of SUIS. Seventy-five parents gathered together to participate in a special lecture on sex education for middle school children.
