2024年11月16日是协和万源一年一度的教师专业发展日活动。全校长表示，这是一个非常重要的时间节点，全体教师汇集在一起，针对学校最近的情况进行专题讨论，统一思想。
16 November 2024 is our SUIS Wan Yuan Campus Annual Staff Professional Development Day. SUIS WY Chinese Principal Mr Paul expressed in his speech that it has been a very crucial timing during the semester for all staff to be seated together in the Auditorium, have further discussion to the recent situation that has been encountered and made efforts to unitize the awareness and understanding towards a better solution.

专题讲座
为持续推进德育工作的有效实施，我校有幸邀请到了闵行区德育教研员顾彩娟老师，为小、初学部的老师们带来一场名为《学生欺凌的预防和处置》专题讲座。
In order to continuously promote the effective implementation of moral education, our school has the honor to invite Ms. GU Cai Juan, a moral education teaching and research officer from Min Hang District, to give us a lecture focusing on "How to Prevent and Deal with Bullying on campus" in the 4F Auditorium.
顾老师的讲座内容深入浅出，语言幽默风趣，与台下的老师们时时互动，理论结合实际，分享案例，引人深思。
Ms. GU's lecture was profound in contents, with her strong sense of humor and effective interactions with the teachers in the audience at all times. Ms. GU has also shared some cases to better help our teachers to understand and analysis the nature of different behaviors (orally or physically), this has encouraged our teachers to start self-reflections and discussions right after the lecture.
上午的第二场讲座是由上海市教师教育学院中小学两类课程教研员姚军老师带来的PBL项目化学习讲座。
The second lecture from this morning was a PBL project-based learning lecture brought by Mr. YAO Jun, a teaching and research officer for primary and middle school curricula from Shanghai Teacher Education Institute.
姚老师的讲座为大家很好地诠释了综合实践活动课程和跨学科主题学习的“大同小异“，立足于《综合实践活动课程指导纲要》的历年重大内容更新，帮助老师们更好地在日常教学实践中推进两类课程建设，提升教育教学质量。
Mr. YAO‘’s lecture provided a vivid explanation of the similarities and differences between comprehensive practical activity courses and interdisciplinary thematic learning. Based on the major content updates of the "Comprehensive Practical Activity Course Guidance Outline" over the years, it helps teachers better promote the construction of the two types of courses in daily teaching practice and improve the quality of education and teaching.

小学部语文组特邀闵行区教育学院小学语文教研员杨献荣老师莅临，对语文教学工作进行细致指导。
Chinese Department of the Primary school invited Mr. YANG Xian Rong, Chinese subject teaching and learning Researcher of Primary school from Min Hang District Education Institute, to visit and give detailed guidance on Chinese teaching.

高中部开放日
虽然前一天的天气阴雨绵绵，抵不住家长们对于高中课程的热情；下午精彩纷呈的高中部开放日活动，吸引了不少家长报名参加; 四楼报告厅的课程介绍现场座无虚席；一楼大剧院内，各个学科展示展台前，家长们认真咨询的身影，络绎不绝。
Though being wet today, the SUIS WY American High School Curriculum Open Day event this afternoon has attracted lots of parents coming and visiting our school. The Curriculum presentation in the 4F Auditorium was filled with large audience and afterwards sessions at the Thespis Hall received highly passionate consulting queries from parents among the booths of each subject displayed.
相信今天在场的每一位老师、每一位家长都收获了自己想要的答案。
It is expected and deeply believed, that every staff and parents being present today at SUIS WY, for the PD Day or for the Open Day, have found their answers for what they need.
