燃情非洲·生生不息——小学部先锋班洲际嘉年华活动 Passsion for Africa, The Circle of Life

非洲大陆，承载着丰富多彩的历史和文化，被誉为“人类的摇篮”。从尼罗河畔的古埃及文明到西非充满艺术的文化，非洲对世界的贡献无疑是深远的。今年，我们邀请全体先锋班的孩子们踏上非洲这片古老而神秘的土地，与老师们一起探索这个充满魅力和色彩的大陆。

The African continent, bearing rich and colorful history and culture, is known as the "cradle of mankind". From the ancient Egyptian civilization along the Nile to the artistic culture in West Africa, Africa's contribution to the world is undoubtedly far-reaching. This year, we invite all the Pioneer class kids to set foot on this ancient and mysterious land of Africa and explore this charming and colorful continent with teachers.

为期一个月的非洲主题探究活动，以连续两天的开幕式拉开帷幕。11月7日，非洲嘉年华（学生场）的开幕式在孩子们欢声笑语中开始。在学生场开幕式上，播放了舞台剧电影——《狮子王》，这是万源协和小学部拍摄的第四部洲际嘉年华主题电影。11月8日，我们迎来了嘉年华（家长场）的盛大开幕。翘首期盼的家长们，沉浸式欣赏了两场《狮子王》现场表演。《狮子王》这个歌颂了爱与勇气的故事陪伴了一代又一代人的成长，教会了人们在逆境中坚韧不拔的品质，也将激励更多年轻人勇往直前，奔向更好的明天。

The one-month African themed exploration activity started with a two-day opening ceremony. On November 7th, the children’s cheerful voices filled Thespis Hall as the first part of opening ceremony of the African Carnival commenced with the grand screening of our stage movie "The Lion King", which is the fourth intercontinental carnival themed film shot by Wanyuan Xiehe Primary School. On November 8, we ushered in the grand opening of the Carnival with our community of parents. The eagerly awaiting parents enjoyed two live performances of The Lion King. The story of The Lion King, which praises love and courage, has accompanied the growth of generation after generation, taught people the quality of perseverance in adversity, and will also inspire more young people to go forward bravely and aim for a better future.

这次演出与五年前的剧目相比可谓是精益求精。在剧本创新上，本次的台词增加了更多的戏剧冲突和笑点包袱，让观众不知不觉地跟着主人公的一颦一笑游览非洲，尽享《狮子王》的魅力；在服装道具设计上，美术组的中外教师们带领各年级的小朋友，不仅原创设计和制作了各个人物的头饰，而且精心打造了演员身上的面具、挂件、配饰和演员手持的各种道具，为了让我们舞台效果更加震撼，还升级了巨型大道具——荣耀石；在开场部分，我校合唱团以非洲鹦鹉的造型亮相舞台，悠扬动听的和声让人仿佛置身于非洲大草原上；在舞蹈设计方面，则是融入更多动物灵动的展示，舞蹈队新老队员轮番上场，技惊四座；在武术方面，校武术队在辛巴、刀疤、土狼和沙组之间设计了非常专业的打戏部分，一招一式配合得天衣无缝，看得观众们连连叫好；最后，全校长扮演非洲萨伦盖蒂大草原上的部落首领Paul，与小演员们同台演绎尾声部分，一步一步把剧情推向了高潮。

Compared with the scenes five years ago, this performance can be described as excellent. The innovative script has added more drama, conflicts, and jokes, transporting the audience to unconsciously follow the hero's smiles, visit Africa, and enjoy the charm of The Lion King. The costume and prop design was planned by the Primary Art Department who led children of all grades to not only design and produce headdresses of various characters, but also to carefully create masks, pendants, accessories and the various props used by the actors. In order to further enhance our stage effects, we also upgraded the giant prop Glory Stone. In the opening act, our school choir appeared on the stage in the shape of an African parrot, and the melodious harmony made people feel like they were on the African prairie. The dance design was also strategically upgraded to incorporate more animals into the show, with the new and returning members of the dance team taking turns to play, creating an amazing visual effect. The school martial arts team designed a very professional drama part between Simba, Scar, Hyenas and the Sha Group; their combination of one stroke and one style was flawless, holding the audience in suspense and ultimately resulting in roaring applause. Finally, our headmaster Mr Quan played Paul, the tribal leader on the Serengeti Prairie in Africa, and performed the epilogue alongside young actors, gradually pushing the plot to a climax.

两场的演出征服了在场所有集团领导、嘉宾和各年级的家长朋友，得到了一致赞赏！在此，让我们向嘉年华导演组、演员组、美术组、舞蹈队、武术队、合唱队、IT组、后勤组、摄像组、后勤保障组和家长义工团队致以崇高的敬意，感谢你们对嘉年华活动的辛勤付出，为万源协和带来了一场美妙绝伦，震撼人心的视觉盛宴！

The two performances captivated all the group leaders, guests and parents and friends of all grades present and were unanimously appreciated! Here, let's pay high tribute to the many groups who have contributed to our carnival including the directors, actors, Art Department, Dance Team, Martial Arts Team, Chorus, IT Department, Logistics Team, Camera Group, Logistics Support Team and Parents' Volunteer Team, and thank you for your hard work in the carnival activities, which has brought an unprecedented and phenomenal visual feast to Wanyuan Campus.

文明因多样而交流，因交流而互鉴，因互鉴而发展。随着全球化的进程，建立跨文化的交流变得越来越重要。这次嘉年华是对非洲文化的一次沉浸式体验，促进了不同文化间的理解，增进了家庭与学校之间的联系。虽然开幕式已经结束，但对非洲文化的各种探索才刚刚开始。在接下来的几周里，我们将更深入地从历史、地理、各民族文化特点与习俗等方面了解非洲文明的多样性，拓宽学生的视野，鼓励他们学习和品鉴世界上的各种文化。

Civilizations communicate because of diversity, learn from each other because of communication, and develop because of mutual learning. With the process of globalization, it is becoming more and more important to establish cross-cultural communication. This carnival is an immersive experience of African culture, which promotes the understanding between different cultures and enhances the connection between families and schools. Although the opening ceremony has ended, the exploration of African culture has just begun. In the next few weeks, we will learn more about the diversity of African civilizations from the aspects of history, geography, cultural characteristics and customs of various ethnic groups, to broaden students' horizons and encourage them to learn and appreciate various cultures in the world.
