So having never been here before, my knowledge of Chicago is pretty limited. I know it's cold, I know there's pizza and I know about The Bean or CloudGate, which is this famous art installation here, and I was really excited to see The Bean, except I can’t because they've fenced it off for renovations until next spring. So just a heads up, if you're planning to visit in the next six months, CloudGate might be fenced off.

听力分析： 挑两个语音点跟大家分享。because 在这儿不是读作 /bɪˈkɒz/ 而是读 /bɪˈkəz/。这个单词有两个读音，很多人会习惯用后者，因为读音更省力。
fenced it off 出现了两处连读。先是 fenced 和 it 连读，读作 /fenstɪt/；后是 it 和 off 连读，读作 /ɪtɒf/。因此这三个词连读作 /fens tɪ tɒf/。
heads-up
这个名词来自动词短语 heads up，表示 to tell someone to look up because of possible danger「当心」，尤其是注意头顶。所以对应的名词 heads-up 表示「警告；提醒」。注意咯，虽然 head 后有 s，但构成的复合词却是一个单数名词，所以「一条提醒」是 a heads-up。give sb a heads-up 用来表示「给某人提醒」，或「通知某人」等。
When the airlines decided to enforce these rules without giving anyone a heads-up, it created a lot of problems for travellers.

phenomenal
很眼熟对吧？phenomenon 是「现象」，-al 是常用的形容词后缀，所以 phenomenonal 表示「现象级的」？没错，不过这个翻译并非任何时候都适用。我们看下它的英文释义就能了然：very great or impressive，所以这个词可以替换 good, great, remarkable 等形容词，表示「极大的; 非凡的」。譬如 phenomenonal success「非凡的成功」，grow at a phenomenalrate 则是「以惊人的速度增长」。一起阅读 2023 年《经济学人》的一个句子。

It has face and eye tracking. So right now I can see a little box over my eye that tells me it's in focus, and of course it has the variable angle screen so I can flip it out and see myself, which is essential.

So I can go from shooting a wide city shot to details of the skyscrapers. This lens also has optical steady-shot image stabilization, which is so nice for handheld video. It makes a world of difference, and I'm usually shooting handheld, especially (when) walking around a city.
