Spring festival, as China's most important traditional holiday, was inscribed on the UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 4, 2024, becoming a shared cultural treasure for the world. This honor not only highlights the unique status of the Spring Festival in Chinese culture but also demonstrates its global influence. As part of global celebrations, the Spring Festival showcases the profound meanings of reunion, joy, and cultural heritage to the world.

China Cultural Center in Stockholm gladly presents a series of festivities titled 2025 "Happy Chinese New Year", and invites you to celebrate this grand traditional holiday! Through a variety of exciting activities, we will showcase the charm of traditional Chinese culture. During the event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy spectacular performances, traditional music, panda lantern display, and VR exhibition. There will also be interactive sessions where you can personally experience Spring Festival customs and feel the festive atmosphere. The 2025 "Happy Chinese New Year" events will offer you an unforgettable holiday experience. 今年1月22日，是传统的“小年”，也是春节中重要的一天。我们为您准备了一场精彩的文化盛宴。活动内容丰富多彩，包括来自北京专业院团的京剧、杂技、舞蹈演出；有国家级非遗传承人带您制作风筝和糖画；有来自山东的美食展示；有北京的旅游资源展示等等。有玩、有看、有吃，尽情享受中国文化魅力！

The traditional "Xiaonian (Little New Year)" falls on January 22 this year,  an important day in the Chinese New Year celebration. We have prepared a wonderful cultural feast for you. The event features a variety of activities, including Peking opera, acrobatics, and dance performances from professional troupes in Beijing. You will also have the opportunity to learn kite-making and sugar painting from national-level intangible cultural heritage inheritors, enjoy food displays from Shandong, and explore Beijing’s tourism resources, among other activities. There will be fun experiences, performances, and delicious food – come and fully enjoy the charm of Chinese culture!

龙年的十二生肖彩灯，给您留下了温暖的记忆吧。今年，我们继续在国王广场，用绚丽的中国非遗自贡彩灯，来点亮寒夜。今年的彩灯展将以熊猫——中国国宝的可爱与魅力为主题。展览将持续到2月17日。

如果您想亲自看到熊猫宝宝点亮广场，请于2025年1月26日下午5点，在斯德哥尔摩的国王花园参加点灯巡游，我们一起点亮璀璨的灯笼，迎接新春的到来！

The zodiac lanterns of the Year of the Dragon have left you with warm memories. This year, we continue the tradition of lighting up the cold night with the dazzling Sichuan Zigong lanterns at Kungsträdgården. The lantern exhibition this year will be themed around the cuteness and charm of the panda, a national treasure of China, and will run until February 17.

If you would like to see the pandas lighting up the square in person, please join us for the lantern lighting parade at 5:00 PM on January 26, 2025, at Kungsträdgården in Stockholm. Together, we will illuminate the brilliant lanterns and welcome the arrival of the New Year!

来自浙江省文化馆的艺术家和老师们，将带领我们体验木版年画、米塑、糖画/捏糖人等，同时观众们还可以欣赏到木偶表演、传统的丝织工艺品/文创展示，一起来斯德哥尔摩中国文化中心逛庙会吧。

Artists and teachers from Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Center will lead us in experiencing traditional crafts such as woodblock New Year prints, rice dough figurines, sugar painting/sugar figurine making, and more. The audience will also be able to enjoy puppet performances and explore displays of traditional silk handicrafts and cultural creative products.
