The 2024 China International Travel Mart came to a close in Shanghai on November 24. At this year's fair, Chinese and foreign buyers and exhibitors interacted and exchanged ideas, showcasing each other's most attractive cultural and tourism resources. Participants listened to lectures, viewed projects, and discussed collaboration...and felt the strong impetus that China's high-level opening-up has injected into the world's tourism economy. Benefiting from China's continued expansion of opening-up and improvement of entry facilitation, the number of inbound tourists and tourism consumption has grown steadily this year, along with the level of satisfaction of foreign tourists. Similar to the trend of Chinese tourists' increasing enthusiasm for in-depth travel, inbound tourists are showing the preference for individual travel, niche destinations, and life-oriented experience.
Taking the Travel Mart as a new platform and opportunity, after the fair, representatives of travel agencies from various countries went to Fujian, Henan, Chongqing and other places for field research, strengthening industrial cooperation, promoting exchanges and mutual understanding among people. The delegation organized by China Cultural Center in Stockholm participated in the Fujian travel routes exploration. In Fujian, they attended multiple cultural tourism promotion meetings and business talks, and went to Mount Wuyi, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Xiamen and other places to experience the humanities and beautiful scenery of "'Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road".
