Activate and share

  • Do you still remember what's first aid?

  • Before we start our class today I just want to share with you a very short video clip from my school.

  • 🌟邀请自己本校的学生进行表演,并提前录制视频

  • After watching two questions for you: 

  • What happened to the the boy?

  • How do you know the boy is really choking?

  • 🌟 观看视频后,通过词转学习/复习新词,为后文做准备, 但邀请学生举手起立回答问题的意识不是很强

Observe and discover

  • How to solve the problem in the video clip?

  • Look at your handouts and finish exercise one.

  • What do you find in the red words?

  • So many -ING forms.

  • I abstract 5 sentences from the paragraph and let's see the function of the ING form in each sentence.

  • What is function?🌟通过板书解释指令

  • 🌟以第一条做示范,2-5学生讨论完成

  • What is the function of the red ones?

  • 教师小结1⃣️: 通过活动1总结ING的作用, 如上表与板书一致

  • 不是很明白EX 1的设计意图,花费了较多的时间,但学生参与度较低

  • Accidents always happen! What happens here?

  • 🌟视频播放技巧:局部展示,遮住余下,激发观看欲

  • 此活动对本课主题进行了向下延伸,延续了“急救”这一主题。活动流程为

  1. 🌟观看完视频后,对教师原学生的未完成版本进行补全

  2. 对教师补全的版本进行优化(情境略欠缺真实性; 一句一句优化,活动类型较为重复,再次影响课堂参与的积极性)

  3. 🌟最终生成该课学生的版本最终稿

  • 🌟邀请学生补齐后半句话,开放式问答

  • Here is my essay. Do you think it's good or not?

  • We have so many "I" in the red parts. Replace underlined parts with suitable -ing forms

  • If we are using the positive voice, we can use the doing form.

  • If we are using the negative voice, we can use the being done form.

Summarize and practise

  • 小结2⃣️: what did you find out?

  • 过渡与情境创设过于简单: I have a best friend Mrs Taylor. This is her grandma.

  • Let's see what happened to her.

  • Finish the exercise on your handout.

  • That's the practice using the ING form.

Transfer and create

  • 🌟情境创设Yesterday I found that The Wechat Official Account of your school is collecting videos about safety education.

  • You are supposed to hand in a video to describe an accident and spread the knowledge of first aid . 

  • 邀请小组表演:分清角色、🌟教师提供reference

  • 可惜的是学生表演无话筒,效果受影响;表演后未进行互评(即便提供了评价标准)

  • 由教师自己读出课后升华与家庭作业,可能是时间受限。

但...可能是期待值太高,也可能是语法课本身难度系数大,再加上学生们坐在会议室里不太方便讨论,种种原因导致略有失望👀
