Identifying the suspect

  • 🌟🌟🌟视频引入,柯南视频(教师加入自己的卡通形象),由教师配音,借此交代任务情境

  • 视频文本:My name is Jimmy Koo, and I'm a high school detective. I was on a case and got poisoned by some bad guys. Luckily, the Madison turned me back into a little kid. Anyway, I'm still good at logical thinking, reasoning, and clue collecting. With the help of my friends and equipped with technological inventions, I'm famous for solving cases. Though trapped in this small body, I'm pretty quick in mind and always believe that only one truth prevails. A few days ago, I ran into a very difficult case. Someone left a fire in front of my door. It mentioned a case that happened in Russia back in the eighteen-eighties. I'm not good at history and know very little about this country, so I need your help. This is Ava, my assistant. So, we will get to know the truth.

  • Are you ready to solve this case with me?

  • Well, take out the file实物🌟 and open it. Then you will see the case.

  • So please tell me, who is involved in the case?

  • -A government clerk. Ivan

  • 解释新词A government clerk is someone who works in the office, an office worker.

  • Alright, well, the first step to solve the case is to identify the suspect. So, tell me who was the suspect in the case.

  • Did you get it? Yes, so what's his name?

  • -a general

  • Well, a general is the head of an army, right?

  • So in society, who was more powerful, the general or the government clerk?

  • -The general, surely.

  • And if we call the general a big man, then the government clerk was a small man.

  • That's right. Now, what happened between these two different persons?

  • The second step to solve the case is to collect the evidence.

collecting the clues

  • Please read very fast and tell me what happened on day one and day three.

  • Go on, do your work. 板书标题

  • Have you got anything? Shall we check?

  • All right? So the first one? OK, please use the microphone.

  • -Even sneezed and spattered the general's breeches when we were watching a play at the theatre.

  • Okay, thank you very much. Yes, that's right.

  • So Even sneezed, right. OK, it's a new word. Follow me, "sneeze."

  • How did he sneeze? "Achoo." Right, well, that's trying to get her together.

  • So everybody sneezes, but is it polite to spatter someone?

  • -No, that's right.

  • So what happened on day two? Please, the boy.

  • Even went to the general's office to apologize, but the general said he forgot it.

  • Thank you very much.

  • He went to the general's office to do what?

  • Apologize. Together, apologize. Apologize. When you apologize, you say sorry to him, right?

  • OK, so it's a verb, and that's the noun form of it. "Apology."

  •  All right, so what did the general say? -He forgot it.

  • How about day three? Please, do you have a microphone? Thank you.

  • Even wanted to explain again, but the general barked at him. Thank you very much.

  • So what did the general do? -He shouted at him, right?

sitting on the case

  • Well, after collecting the clues, we made two judgments.

  • The new word, follow me, "judgment."

  • The first one, I think Even was a polite and cautious person.

  • Together, cautious. Very, very careful, do you agree?

  • And I also think the general was a bit impatient and bad-tempered. What do you think?

  • But I need evidence. Follow me, "evidence."

  • Could you help me to find the evidence? Start to work.

  • Well, did you get anything? Okay, so please tell me, how do you know that Even was a polite and cautious person? How do you know that?

  • 学生作答

  • Thank you, you are very careful. Well, yes, so she, we have found two pieces of evidence, right?

  • How did he apologize?

  • Bent over the whole person and whispered, right?

  • Well, and there's another piece of evidence that proved Even was very polite.

  • After his sneeze, what did he do? What did he do?

  • 学生作答

  • Yes, thank you. Anything else, please the boy.

  • 学生作答

  • Yes, all right, now that's the evidence you collected.

  • The first thing was polite, he wiped his face and looked around. Right to see if he had brought trouble to anyone。

  • And just like the girls said, give a cough. Do you know cough? Guess, to draw others' attention, right?

  • Then bend his whole person over, and how did he speak?

  • -Whisper, that's right.

  • OK, if you whisper, do you speak in a loud voice or a low voice?解释新词

  • That's right, why? Why did he whisper? Where were they?

  • -In the theatre, that's right. OK, together, whisper.

  • And then the next morning, he put on a new uniform. And Even cut his hair and went to the general's office, right?

  • So he was a very polite and cautious person. How about the general?

  • How do you know that he was impatient and bad-tempered, please?

  • 学生作答

  • 追问How do you know that he was very rude and the time?

  • 学生继续作答

  • how did he shout?

  • 追问So how did he feel at that time?

  • -Angry, that's right. 🌟An angry bird, right? So look at the picture, the general turned purple, he was super angry, right?

  • And he said, "Be off," Even. Stamping,so he was very bad-tempered.

  • Well, then how did Even feel talking to such a bad-tempered person?

reconstructing the scenes

  • Let's reconstruct the things and try to feel what he felt. How many times did Even apologize to the general?

  • -Three times, so the first apology, how did Even say this? In the theatre, right? So how did he say this?

  • -Whisper, that's right.

  • And how about the general? Did he speak these words gently?

  • Well, at this first time maybe gently, right? But how about the second time? Look at the mark.  A little bit impatient, right?

  • So now I need a Ivan and general. right?

  • So which one would you like to be?

  • OK, please. Even, OK, then general, general. Well, are you ready? One, two, three, action. 🌟学生表演3次向将军道歉

  • General, do you want to talk to Even?

  • -No, I don't want to talk. Why?

  • -Because I'm watching the opera now, and he is... and I think also I'm the general, so I'm in the high place like that. So I don't need to say something politely to anyone else.

  • Yes, especially the small man, yes. OK, thank you, and then how about you, Even? How do you feel now?

  • -Maybe I feel very embarrassed, maybe because I am refused by the high place.

  • Thank you, so you feel a little bit embarrassed. Embarrassed. Embarrassed.

  • And yes, just like you, Even felt embarrassed and smiled stupidly. That's right. OK, he was embarrassed, right?

  • Then how about the second time? Who'd like to be Even? This time, please. OK, do you want to be Even?

  • And I need another general, general. OK, please. Thank you, are you ready?

  • Ah, pay attention. How did the general say the words?

  • -Impatiently, that's  right. Are you ready?

  • One, two, three, action.

  • 🌟学生表演

  • Wow, do you think the general spoke in this way? I think it sounded a little bit sweet. So nice. Come on, general, impatient. It's nothing, I forgot. Wave your hands.

  • Oh, yes, that's OK. Try it again. One, two, three, go.

  • 学生接受老师建议改善表演Much better. Thank you. Yes, well,

  • Then Even, how do you feel now?

  • -I feel maybe I am afraid of the general. If the general was angry with me because the general was angry, so you feel a little bit afraid. Thank you.

  • Then here comes the third apologize.

  • Well, this time we need someone who is good at shouting, turning purple. Right, turning purple.🌟表演,有针对性找演员

  • And how about Even? How did you he say this word? Yes, how did he say this word?

  • Loudly, confidently, no, weakly, that's right.

  • So Even. Microphone. Thank you, here you go.

  • Are you ready? One, two, three, action.

  • 学生表演

  • Thank you. WOW, that is a powerful general.

  • Right, so Even, how do you feel?

  • -a little bit scared and um, afraid of, yes, thank you.

  • You feel scared, right? 🌟教师符合时宜的课堂反馈Not only you, I am scared. OK, thank you.

  • So Even was so scared that he could see nothing and hear nothing.

  • Then how did he die in the end? Think about it, then pick up your pen, write it down.

  • To get anything jumped into the mind. How did he die? Would you like to share? OK, please, the girl.

  • 学生作答🌟先邀请学生猜测原因

  • So because the general shouted at him, yes, he got scared, yes. And then a car bumped into him, yes, OK? Accident, right, so he was killed by an accident.

  • 学生作答

  • Thank you. So in your opinion, Even was the philosopher at first, then he made a decision to kill himself, why?

  • 教师追问Why did he kill himself?

  • 学生继续作答

  • And what would make him feel so disappointed?

  • Thank you very much. So he jumped into the water to kill himself, that's suicide, too, right?

  • -教师追问Well, why do you think he would kill himself?

  • -学生继续作答Um, because, um, he maybe was afraid that the general will hate him and.

  • Uh, yes, in your writing, you mentioned, um, he was a little government clerk. So if the general was angry, he might.

  • Thank you, he might lose the job, right? So how would he feel if he lost the job? -Depressed, depressed, and hopeless, right?

  • Well, thank you, Depressed and hopeless, right?

  • Well, thank you,good job.

  • Well, then that's have a look at 🌟the original ending对比学生的猜测. How did he die?

Analysis of the cause of death

  • He was not killed by the gun or poison or knife. He just lay there and died.

  • Then what killed him? Here are several choices.

  • The sneeze? General? Society?

  • What do you know about the society?

  • -In the eighteen-eighties in Russia. Do you know anything? Well, let's have a look.

  • 🌟交代历史背景At that time, the society in Russia was like this.

  • The most powerful man was the...

  • And the people in the top, all right, in the top two classes, they were called the big men.

  • And how about this part? The small men, and did the big men treat the small men very nicely?

  • -No, right?

  • So actually, during that time, the life for small men was pretty pitiful. Pitiful, yes.

  • So what killed him?

  • -the society. Yes, right, so the society was responsible for his death, but how about Even himself?

  • Yes, well, then here comes another question.

  • 🌟批判性思维Which factor should take more responsibility, Even himself or the society?

  • Think about it, discuss in the groups, go.

  • Got anything ready?

  • So which one do you choose, and why?

  • Ready, go, Maria. Choose C, what’s in your mind?

  • 学生作答

  • Thank you so much. So you mean the society was cruel and not equal to everyone. That's how Even died. Thank you. Anyone else, please.

  • I choose B because 学生作答

  • So because he was in the society, he was supposed to live in it. Yes, he accepted it. Thank you. What else?

  • I choose B学生作答

  • 教师追问so what problems did Even have?

  • 教师总结All right, so Even himself had several problems, right. He was, he was being annoying and insisted on apologizing for the small thing, right?

  • Thank you. And other reasons, please.

  • I choose B because 学生作答

  • Yes, OK, so you mean Even himself got the small thing and made the small thing a big problem, right? So it was him, Even himself. He killed himself. Got himself killed.

  • Do you agree? Um, please.

  • I choose A, why 学生作答

  • thank you. Just like he said right, so no matter how cruel, how dark the society was, we could change ourselves, right?

  • So let's move on to the problems Even had . Just like you mentioned, he made the small thing a big problem, right?

  • What else? What other problems did he have? Please.

  • 学生作答

  • He couldn't accept that failure, right? Yeah, thank you, thank you, good job.

  • Well, 祥子, at last, in your opinion, was very optimistic, and he changed things toughly, right? But Even was just the opposite. He worried too much, right? and he was easily hurt and overthink, do you think so? He thought too much. There was a lot on his mind. He was pressured, he was depressed, right, and he got very low self-esteem. Right?

  • You don't know how to read that. Well, together, self-esteem, self-esteem.

  • Yes, while in today's world, we call this kind of person who got a heart of glass🌟玻璃心. Do you think so?

solving a similar case

  • 🌟在真实情景中,迁移创新Well, and I know someone who is just like Ivan, and she's one of my students. Let's have a look. 学生阅读ppt内容

  • So what do you think of her? Does she have the heart of glass?

  • Yes, and then could you give her some suggestions to help her heart get stronger, get tougher?

  • What can we do to help a person who's got a heart of glass? Please.

  • 学生作答

  • Thank you so much, yes, any other suggestions, please.

  • 学生作答

  • Thank you, thank you to realize her dreams, right? Make no efforts, that's right, because you have your own fate in your hands.

learning from the case

  • 🌟认真对待学生的产出成果I like that. I will tell her your suggestions.非常自然的升华总结!

  1. The first thing you mentioned be positive, be optimistic, always right。

  2. And be rational. Yes, ignore the things, do not overthink them.

  3. And also be broad-minded. Do not take everything seriously.

  4. The most thing, most thing is be confident. Only in this way will we have a heart of diamond instead of a heart of glass🌟妙啊!玻璃心变钻石心. Do you think so?

Homework

  • So now, the case is sovled.完善板书⬇️

  • Here's the homework.

  • The first level, you can choose the closing statement for the case, what we could learn from the case.

  • Also, you can choose level B to write down your opinions on how to get a heart of diamond.

  • 🌟You could send the homework to me by email. That's my email address.

  • 🌟视频情境首尾呼应、完整!Well, before we end the class, Conan has something to say.

  • 视频内容:Forty-five minutes, you solved the case. I am impressed. But there's still one mystery that keeps troubling me. So I went to the library and spent days learning about history. After reading several books, suddenly someone came to my mind. The well-known novelist of that time, the one who could express profound meaning in precise words, Anton Chekhov. Through his works, he exposed the darkness of the society and the miserable life of the small men. Surely, the darkness of the society caused many deaths, but the darkness in mind is what kills most.

  • Anyway, the case is closed, but we do wish there will be no more tragedies like this.

  • Life is bright as long as we have a heart of diamond.

  • See you again, thank you very much.
