「未来生命档案」是由HOW昊美术馆联合中国美术学院、同济大学CAUP人工智能与艺术创研中心共同打造的一场规模壮观的多媒体艺术展览。

围绕人工智能，硅基生命，物质迭代等当代热门话题，呈现19件艺术家及艺术团体的23件艺术作品，通过艺术作品探索数字世界中的生物形态和生态系统，体验数字生命的情绪轨迹和进化过程，摸索在数字世界与地球生物的交汇面上，超人类主义诉求下的人类社会的伦理道德将何去何从。

HOW Art Museum, in collaboration with the China Academy Of Art And Artificial Intelligence, as well as the Art Creation Research Center, is proud to present the spectacular multi-media art exhibition Life After Life. This comprehensive collection addresses some vitally important and contemporary topics facing our society today, including the place of AI, the development of silicon-based life forms and the iteration of materials we use in our daily lives. 

Fascinating and thought-provoking, this exhibition the possibilities for life forms and bio-systems in the digital world, and invites the viewers to experience the emotional trajectory and evolutionary process of digital life as it is currently known. 

The crux of the work on display will focus on the intersection of the digital realm and the biological one, and questions how will the ethics and morality of human society survive in the event of trans-humanism.

在经历七年之痒的节点上，「未来生命档案」展览的呈现，正体现了HOW昊美术馆作为中国前沿民营美术馆，对科技与艺术融合趋势敏锐洞察后的生存策略。

In marking the considerable achievement of their seventh anniversary, the presentation Life After Life embodies much of the great work produced by HOW Art Museum to date. As one of the leading private art museums in China it has taken a pioneering approach in exploring the integration of technology and art.

几乎每一个民营美术馆都有自己独特的“土壤”与“命门”， 这些年HOW一直坚持以创新的态度在中国当地艺术领域发出独立的声音，磕磕绊绊地走到现在，始终坚守原址，未曾停业，并首创“夜间美术馆”的运营模式，成为张江乃至浦东的文化新地标。

The majority of private art museums can be said to exemplify their own unique ‘soil’ or ‘identifying factor’. Over years of dedication and commitment, HOW Art Museum has consistently adopted an innovative approach in championing the power and creativity of local Chinese art. 

Having overcome a number of obstacles it has persevered to this day, continuing to operate at it’s original location and retaining its distinct identity in Shanghai’s art scene. It was also a forerunner in offering the ‘Night Museum’ operating model, becoming over time a genuine cultural landmark in Zhengjiang and indeed across the whole of Pudong.

HOW昊美术馆的发展历史可以追溯2013年，它最初在温州成立，并在此后的时间里，通过举办一系列国际性展览，逐渐在艺术界崭露头角。

The history of HOW Art Museum dates back to 2013, when it was initially established in Wenzhou. Over the years, it has gradually gained prominence in the art world by hosting a series of well-received exhibitions featuring both quality international artists and top Chinese talent.

七年前，HOW昊美术馆在上海落地，并以一场名为“宣言”的开馆展，向公众展示了其对于当代艺术的独特态度和理念。进入德国艺术家朱利安·罗斯菲德用电影呈现的看待世界的《宣言》。13个大银幕上同步播放着影星凯特·布兰切特一人扮演的多个角色。一百年来关于艺术的宣言被演绎成为这个时代人与社会的即时对话，关于活在当下的，关于创造艺术的，关于真相与谎言，关于瞬间与永恒。开馆当天上海暴雨，但瓢泼大雨也难挡千位观众对艺术的热情。凯特声情并茂的演绎如穿透黑暗的闪电，击中一颗颗站在银幕前为艺术跳动的心。

Seven years ago, HOW Art Museum established its presence in Shanghai with an inaugural exhibition, showcasing its unique attitude and philosophy towards contemporary art to the public. Enter Julian Rosefeld’s cinematic take on observing the world, entitled “Manifesto”. This impressive work incorporated thirteen large screens which displayed multiple roles portrayed solely by actress Cate Blanchett.

Declarations about art over the past century were interpreted as immediate dialogues between people and society in this era, addressing themes of living in the present, creating art, truth and lies, and the instant versus eternity.

On the opening day of HOW Art Museum, Shanghai was hit by a rainstorm, but the heavy rain could not stop the enthusiasm of thousands of spectators for art. Cate's emotional and expressive performance was like lightning piercing through the darkness, striking the hearts of those who stood in front of the screen, beating for art.

从HOW昊美术馆来到上海至今，曾展出过好几档人流爆棚的展览。2018年的夏天，HOW昊美术馆迎来了它的辉煌时刻。美术馆纯白的大门口早早便排起了长队，甚至沿着祖冲之路一直绕道了高架下的申江路上，从馆内到馆外队伍足足几十米，彼时HOW昊美术馆内展出的正是莱安德罗·埃利希的个展——“虚构”，一度成为当年全上海人流量最多的展览，整个展期HOW昊美术馆共接纳超过15万人次参观者；同样是2018年、原本是临展的“见者的书信：约瑟夫·博伊斯×白南准”，后来由于太受欢迎，保留了其中约瑟夫·博伊斯的部分改成了为期一年多的常设展。

Since its arrival in Shanghai, HOW Art Museum has hosted several highly popular exhibitions.

In the summer of 2018 the museum reached a notable creative and commercial peak. Early on, long queues formed at its pristine white entrance, stretching along Zu Chongzhi Road and even wrapping around to Shenjiang Road under the viaduct, with lines spanning dozens of meters from inside to outside the museum. 

At that time, the museum was exhibiting Leandro Erlich's Construction Of Reality", which became the most visited exhibition in Shanghai that year, attracting over 150,000 visitors throughout its duration. Also in 2018, the originally temporary exhibition "Letters Du Voyant: Joseph Beuys × Nam June Paik" was so popular that the Joseph Beuys section was retained and turned into a permanent exhibition lasting over a year.

2019年的夏天，HOW昊美术馆乘胜追击，策划了美国艺术家丹尼尔·阿尔轩的个展，展览吸引了亚洲潮流界的诸多重要人士以及国际品牌的大区高层前来观看，引发思考与交流的同时，也将艺术家丹尼尔在世界范围内的艺术影响力继续助推扩展到了潮流圈。而就在刚刚过去的6月，HOW昊美术馆顺利完成了丹尼尔·阿尔轩的潮流拍卖，成绩同样颇为理想；还有2021年接待了大量年轻时尚人群前来打卡的“空山基：大都会”……

In the summer of 2019, HOW Art Museum capitalized on its success by organizing a solo exhibition of American artist Daniel Arsham, which attracted many key figures in the Asian fashion industry and senior executives of international brands, sparking thoughts and exchanges while further expanding Arsham's artistic influence worldwide into the fashion circle. Just in June of this year, HOW Art Museum successfully completed an auction of Arsham's fashionable works, achieving impressive results.

Additionally, in 2021, "Hajime Sorayama: Metropolis" welcomed a large number of young and fashionable visitors.

顺应国内绝大多数民营美术馆普遍以网红和大咖展吸引人流门票收入来供养运营的大环境下，HOW昊美术馆从未丢失一家真正美术馆的底色，将良好的公共喜爱与学术独立的二元对立起来，保持着可持续运营与专业建设的良性的造血机制。

7年来，HOW昊美术馆共推出了97场不同维度的展览，新媒体、元宇宙、数字艺术、AI、NFT、机器人等元素都广泛涉猎，为越来越多的观众营造一个又一个美好的艺术之夜。

In response to general trends concerning private art museums in China, where many can come to rely on the influence of popular internet celebrities for continued relevance, or depend on ‘big name’ exhibitions to create buzz and generate ticket sales to sustain operations, HOW Art Museum has never lost sight of its core as a genuine art museum. It avoids the simplistic binary opposition between public popularity and academic independence, maintaining a healthy self-sustaining mechanism for sustainable operations and professional development.

Over the past seven years, HOW Art Museum has launched 97 exhibitions across various dimensions, extensively exploring elements such as new media, the metaverse, digital art, AI, NFT and robots, creating a series of beautifully artistic evenings for an ever-increasing audience of loyal patrons.
