Interpreting History Through Sculpture Art

洪涛自1986年进入鲁迅美术学院雕塑系学习并留校任教，至今已近四十载，致力于雕塑教育和艺术创作。作为雕塑界的重要人物，洪涛教授毕生奉献于雕塑事业，尤其在雕塑教育领域，他的影响力深远。2005年，洪涛在俄罗斯列宾美术学院雕塑系获得硕士学位，师从雕塑大师库巴索夫等人。

Since joining the Sculpture Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1986, where he has also served as a professor, Hong Tao has dedicated nearly four decades to the education and creation of sculpture art. 

As a prominent figure in the sculpture world, Professor Hong has made significant contributions to the field, especially in education. In 2005, he earned his master's degree from the Sculpture Department of the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, studying under master sculptor Kubasov and others.

洪涛教授的创作领域广泛，涵盖大型主题性雕塑、人物肖像研究以及历史人文写意表现。他不仅仅关注雕塑的形体塑造，更强调作品背后的精神内涵。作为现任鲁迅美术学院雕塑艺术专业学科带头人，洪涛教授在多项国家级项目中担任主创设计。他主创大型雕塑《旗帜》、《胜利的起点》、《⾛向胜利》、《杨靖宇》、《追梦》等，在全国重要的纪念馆、博物馆长期陈列展出。

Professor Hong’s creations span a wide range, including large-scale thematic sculptures, portrait studies, and expressive representations of historical and cultural subjects. His work goes beyond form, placing great importance on the spiritual essence behind the art. As the head of the Sculpture Art Program at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, he has led many national projects. 

His major works include large-scale sculpture group "Flag" ,"The Starting Point of Victory","Marching Towards Victory" ,Large-scale thematic sculpture "Yang Jingyu" and "Dream Pursuit" sculpture project, which are permanently displayed in significant memorial halls and museums across China.

在他看来，艺术家的使命是通过艺术语言诠释历史。他坚信，一个优秀的艺术家必须具备三大素养：首先是客观审视历史的能力，其次是呈现艺术作品的技艺，最后是塑造出能传达思想和情感的作品。

In Hong's view, an artist's mission is to interpret history through the language of art. He firmly believes that a great artist must possess three essential qualities: the ability to critically examine history, the skill to present art with technical excellence, and the capacity to create works that convey profound ideas and emotions.

洪涛以其独树一帜的雕塑风格和深厚的艺术哲学赢得广泛赞誉。他的艺术作品展现出对人物内心和事物本质的深刻洞察，通过敏锐的观察和对精神世界的深入理解，将这些感知融入雕塑艺术的视觉表达之中。他扎实的学院派背景，特别是在留学俄罗斯期间，对现实主义雕塑的反思和理解得到了进一步深化。俄罗斯浓厚的艺术氛围为洪涛提供了广阔的探索空间，特别是在革命题材创作中，他通过将理想、信念与意志融入雕塑形式，找到了独特的表现方式与张力。

Hong Tao has earned widespread acclaim for his distinctive sculptural style and profound artistic philosophy. His works reveal a deep insight into the inner world of individuals and the essence of things. 

Through keen observation and a profound understanding of the spiritual realm, he integrates these perceptions into his visual expressions in sculpture. His strong academic background, particularly during his studies in Russia, further refined his reflections on and understanding of realist sculpture. 

The rich artistic atmosphere in Russia provided Hong with a vast space for exploration, particularly in his revolutionary-themed creations, where he skillfully merged ideals, beliefs, and willpower into sculptural forms, finding a unique tension and mode of expression.

在创作过程中，洪涛打破了传统雕塑技法的束缚，采用创新性的泥片裹塑手法，替代传统的拍、打、塑、雕等技法，展现了雕塑形态与精神的微妙变化。他的作品在形式与内容上高度一致，特别是在红色革命题材的表现中，展现了深沉的历史情怀与对革命英雄的崇高敬意。

In his creative process, Hong Tao breaks away from traditional sculpting techniques by adopting an innovative method of clay sheet wrapping, replacing conventional techniques such as pounding, molding, and carving. 

This allows him to reveal subtle changes in both the form and spirit of his sculptures. His works maintain a high level of coherence between form and content, especially in the portrayal of red revolution themes, where he conveys a profound sense of historical sentiment and deep respect for revolutionary heroes.

在此次“不觉-洪涛雕塑展”中，观众不仅可以近距离观看洪涛教授38件代表作，还能通过手稿深入了解他创作过程中的构思与灵感来源。展览还特别设计了沉浸式展演，融合声、光、影等多种艺术形式，以多元化的展览形式，展现了当代雕塑在创新与跨界融合上的探索实践。

In this exhibition, visitors will not only have the chance to closely view 38 of Professor Hong Tao's representative works, but also gain insight into his creative process and sources of inspiration through the display of his sketches. 

Additionally, the exhibition features an immersive performance, combining sound, light, and visual effects to create a multi-dimensional experience. This multi-faceted exhibition format highlights the exploration and practice of innovation and cross-disciplinary integration in contemporary sculpture.
