同在这次TCA大会,美国南加州大学教授Stephen Krashen(1988年起就反对教语法)竟一反常态强调“自己并不反对教语法...教师应...提供好的学习资料。” 有关联吗?
*①Learn④the best from the③other's⑤cultures⑥while⑧introducing⑨the②Chinese culture to the④ people in⑦ other countries so that⑪ we⑩ can learn from each other⑫1.【误用碎句】要点(bullet points)写作多以短语形式呈现,但用多层结构展开叙述(尤篇幅较长)时,则应改用完整句以减少误解,也降低长篇幅却碎片化(fragmentation)之感。受此影响,上一条要点[竟用了句点]词组也宜改为完整句,如English serves as a ...以统一风格。2/3/4【冠词错误】Chinese culture(中华文化)Chinese civilization(中华文明)用零冠词,删the②。在有定语修饰或有定语指特指时,才加定冠词如The time-honored Chinese culture is the cultural gene of the Chinese nation’s everlasting life and prosperity.历史悠久的中华文化是中华民族生生不息、长盛不衰的文化基因。别的文化、别国的人指代不明确,用零冠词,删the③the④。5.【所有格错】形容词other不加所有格other's,删‘s⑤ 。作名词的所有格other's用在如:We all need to borrow from each other’s cultures.我们都需要借鉴彼此的文化。6.【错误搭配】learn the best from other cultures⑥。learn(学/获悉/了解)意思宽泛,既要学其它文化的精华为我所用,也要了解识别其糟粕以利自我保护防范。而文化交流高频词组the best from other cultures(the essence of other cultures)源自其它文化的精华/长处/最好的东西这个文化交流高频词组,常用适配动词是take(汲取/吃进)/absorb(吸收/学会)assimilate(吸收/使同化)。例句:Ideally, in a multicultural society, cultures would take the best from other cultures, including food, dress, hair, etc. ? 理想情况下,在一个多元文化的社会中,各种文化会吸取其他文化的精华,包括从膳食到衣着甚至美发等。中文精确搭配“吸取精华”在北外迁移失败,英文教授们得补习初中语文!learn from sb向某人学,Learn from Comrade Lei Feng! 向雷锋同志学习!Learn from Comrade Bethune! 向白求恩同志学习!learn from your opponents/enemies(向对手学/敌人学)。learn from sth/mistakes从某件事/错误中学到教训。惩前毖后learn from past mistakes to avoid/prevent future ones(吸取过去失败的教训,以免重犯错误)。把文化拟人化时可说如Japanese culture learns a lot of nutrients from Chinese culture.learn or draw a (useful) lesson from从...吸取(有益的)教训。给人上一堂课give/instruct sb a lesson,但teach sb a lesson教训某人一顿。7.【介词错误】来源于别国的人people from other countries,宜改in⑦为from。8.【用错while】原文照译“在...推中华文化时,学别国文化精华,以便...”。请问那“没在推中华文化时,你爱学不学...”是吗?用错while后,事实上的并列关系就被错成从属关系。纵使硬要用while也是用如“While学外时,要适时推销自己...”。小知识:while后的行为动作时间背景同时进行或更长(更早),如醉驾/毒驾DWI(driving while intoxicated),再如While enjoying hotpot with your wifey and singing songs, you were suddenly robbed by bandits.《让子弹飞》你带着老婆,吃着火锅唱着歌,突然就被麻匪劫了!9.【词汇滥用】introduce被滥用(overused)已成语言灾害,甚至造成重大损失。网络时代,国别文化多少公开资讯瞬间获得,用不着胡乱introduce。另:上外撤掉使命introduce句了!在文化交流的大锣鼓下,受滥用introduce的影响,中国文化很多独有的技法比如千年国宝宣纸工艺就竹筒倒豆子地白白introduce给了小日本!还Learn楞着个啥?多少血泪教训要learn(汲取/吸取)!认识promote(宣传/推销)(得收钱的!)吗?改呀!请参阅拙作《讲好中国故事从北外开始》第24点。10.【指代混乱】这we⑩指相互学习的不同文化的人(中国人和外国人),跟Learn前面省略的主语we(学英语的我们)不一致啊!11.【逻辑混乱】前面两个动词是学习、及介绍给对方学,已是相互学习了,后面竟然还再用so that目的状语从句以便相互学?这好像在说:A请B吃饭,B请A吃饭以便AB相互请吃饭?北外一堆英文教授,基本逻辑欠奉(欠费请充值),竟说车轱辘话。说,以便增进理解、扩大商业往来......说法多的是,但教授们不会!
12.【标点混乱】上一条名词短语用了句点,这条这么长文教授却吝啬不肯给个句点。
