Indian primary rebar prices soften on weak demand

Indian domestic rebar prices in the primary market have corrected by INR 1,000/tonne ($12) on-week amid ongoing slack demand in the infrastructure and construction sectors due to monsoons, notesKallanish.
在不同的城市，12-32毫米的Fe 550D级螺纹钢报价在5.4-5.5万卢比/吨（645-660美元）。
The price for Fe 550D grade rebar of size 12-32mm is heard quoted in the range of INR 54,000-55,000/tonne ($645-660) across different cities.
市场人士透露，在需求减少、供应充足的情况下，买家正在谈判降低价格，而少数一级生产商则准备给予较大折扣。
Buyers are negotiating for lower rates amid reduced demand and sufficient supplies, while a few primary producers are ready to give big discounts, inform market participants.
就二级市场而言，价格较前一周下降200-400卢比/吨（2-5美元）。据悉，不同城市的Fe500级12-25毫米螺纹钢报价为4.6-4.75万卢比/吨（550-570美元）。
In the case of the secondary market, prices have seen a decline of INR 200-400/t ($2-5) on-week. Fe500 grade, 12-25mm sized rebar is heard offered at INR 46,000-47,500/t ($550-570) across different cities.
二级市场的现货活动依然低迷，买家仅按需购买。
Spot market activity in the secondary segment remains sluggish, with buyers making only need-based purchases.
即将于下周公布的2025财年预算预计将重点关注基础设施建设。公路、海港、机场、铁路、城市连通性和智能城市方面的投资将获得大量资金。
The upcoming budget for the 2025 fiscal year is to be announced next week and is expected to focus significantly on infrastructure. Investments in highways, seaports, airports, railways, urban connectivity, and smart cities are set to receive substantial funding.
