In ancient times, hydrangeas often appeared in historical records and literary works as tokens of love. For example, Yin Wenjiao, the mother of Tang Monk, once threw embroidered balls at the top scholar Chen Guangrui in Chang'an, and the two of them became close friends during the Qin and Jin dynasties. In addition, during the reign of Emperor Yizong of Tang Dynasty, Wang Baochuan, the third daughter of the prime minister Wang Yun, threw embroidered balls and married the poor Xue Pinggui. 在传承古法的同时，袁娜还从史籍、博物馆中寻找灵感，制作出“五星出东方利中国”汉代织锦护臂、《千里江山图》等文物同款作品，赋予绣球更多文化内涵。

While inheriting ancient methods, Yuan Na also sought inspiration from historical records and museums to create works such as the Han Dynasty brocade arm guard and the "Thousand Miles of Mountains and Rivers Map" with the theme of "Five Stars in the East for China's Benefit", endowing embroidered balls with more cultural connotations.

“这款名叫《只此青绿》的绣球，灵感取自唐代著名诗人王维的《山居秋暝》，配色以《千里江山图》作为设计蓝本，主体使用桑蚕丝面料，以朱砂、雄黄等配件为辅，内装鹅梨帐中香。”袁娜称，自己会根据现代人的审美和需求，对“关中绣球”进行改良。外观上采用光泽感更高的桑蚕丝进行制作，内在则以棉花裹香，将古人传承千年的香方放入绣球当中，打造“中式香水”。

Yuan Na said that she would improve the "Guanzhong embroidery ball" according to the aesthetics and needs of modern people. The exterior is made of mulberry silk with a higher gloss, while the interior is wrapped with cotton. The fragrance handed down by the ancients for thousands of years is put into the embroidery ball to create a "Chinese perfume".
