清晨的阳光洒在康德双语的校园里，校门口显得格外热闹。为了迎接新学期的到来，老师们提前就来到了学校精心准备着。
随着校门的缓缓开启，学生们陆陆续续走进校园。他们穿着整洁的校服，脸上洋溢着笑容，见到熟悉的老师主动问好，彼此分享着假期的喜悦。校门口，老师们热情地与学生们握手，给予他们新学期的祝福。家长们也放心地把学生们的手交到了老师的手中，学生们在老师的引导下，有序地进入教学楼，开始了新学期的征程。

在康德双语小学部与中学部的开学典礼上，康德双语执行校长Dr. Oliver Kramer先生、党支部书记兼副校长潘文光女士、小学部校长蔡骏女士、学术副校长Dr. Wendy King、小学部外方课程主任Ms. Helena Mc Donough分别出席了中学部与小学部的开学典礼。
校长们对在场的老师们与学生们表示了最诚挚的欢迎，表示在这个充满新希望和新机遇的时刻，不仅要回顾过去，总结经验，更要勇敢地迎接未来，拥抱变化。要保持好奇心，勇于探索未知领域。他们鼓励康德学子们在新的学年里，继续追求学术卓越，不断提升自我。
此外，校长们还鼓励学生们要乐于分享勇于探索新精彩，用行动为校园生活注入新的活力。在新的学年里，学会与小伙伴们分享知识、分享快乐。
康德双语小学部五年级陈倖妤同学既是中国文化的传承者，亦是传播者。值得一提的是，在开学典礼中的一场特别的颁奖仪式中，小学部校长蔡骏女士将2023学年“康德精神奖”颁发给陈倖妤同学，这不仅是对她个人的表彰，更是对康德双语学生们在体现康德精神方面卓越成就的肯定。
在中学部的开学典礼上，由康德双语九年级直升进入高中的十年级学生代表张煜彬也道出了对新征程的憧憬与坚持。作为本校团委副书记与优秀学生奖获得者，他在发言中提到：“感谢康德双语提供的学习平台，上学年在学业上我们都收获了知识与荣誉，我们也在这个温暖的康德大家庭里感受与经历了许多的美好。过去的四年，我们在这片沃土上茁壮成长，收获了友谊、知识和成长。如今，我们将迈向更高的舞台，迎接新的挑战。希望所有康德师生身在康德、心在康德，顺遂，有成！”

校园里，绿树成荫，鸟语花香，一尘不染的环境让人心生愉悦。宽敞的操场、曲折的小径、明亮的教室，无处不展现出干净、整洁的氛围。
在筹备新学期开学的过程中，全校教职员工严谨认真，对各项工作进行了细致的安排。从教学计划的制定，到教室布置、卫生清洁，每一个环节都体现出对孩子们返校的期待。
康德双语小学部的走廊墙面焕然一新，一幅幅精心布置的板报成为了孩子们假期见闻的缩影。
中学部
在这个暑假中，一场以“为学生营造安全舒适的学习环境”为宗旨的校园改建升级工程在康德双语的校园里紧锣密鼓地进行。康德双语运营部的老师们在假期中冒着酷暑全力投入到校园设施优化及改建工作中，为营造新学期安全舒适的学习环境而日夜不辍。此次校园设施优化工程从空间布局到设施设备都充分考虑到师生的实际需求、美观、功能与环保健康等多方面因素。
运营部老师们表示，学校致力于把校园中的每一处细节都做到极致，就是希望学生们能在舒适的环境中安心学习，茁壮成长。

大礼堂的空间优化与功能拓展
在这次校园改建升级中，大礼堂的外观改造无疑是浓墨重彩的一笔。学校巧妙的将中西文化底蕴融入其中，以现代手法诠释古典韵味。改造后的礼堂采用康德红的元素，与古朴的木制墙立面相映成趣，仿佛诉说着时光的故事。阳光透过玻璃和木制自动百叶窗洒进礼堂，为学校增添了几分生机与活力。

教学楼的改建升级
在这次教学楼的改建升级中，设计概念秉持着“现代与经典融合”的理念，为师生们打造了一个既富有时代感又不失庄重的学习空间，同时营造出了一种宁静、和谐的学习氛围。教学楼的外观则保留了现代简约建筑的经典元素，将木制门框和墙面巧妙地与康德双语代表色——康德红相融合，大门的木制设计元素也使得整个建筑显得格外有学术氛围。
康德双语一直以来秉持着“和、信、义”的校训，致力于培养身心健康、德才兼备的康德学子。
在新的学期里，老师们将继续继续发扬“严谨、和善、创新”的教风，关注每一个学生的成长，为他们的未来搭建坚实的基石。同时，希望所有康德学子能在新的学期里勇往直前，再创佳绩，追求学术卓越！

Welcome to the New Semester
The early morning sunshine poured over the SCBS campus, and the entrance of the school looked particularly busy. In order to welcome the new semester, teachers came to the school in advance to prepare carefully.
As the school gates slowly opened, students entered the campus one after another. Dressed in neat school uniforms and with smiles on their faces, they took the initiative to greet familiar teachers and shared the joy of the holiday with each other. At the entrance of the school, teachers shook hands with students warmly and gave them blessings for the new semester. Parents were also relieved to hand over their students' hands to the teachers, and the students entered the school building in an orderly manner under the guidance of the teachers and started the journey of the new semester.

In this wonderful school year, SCBS is waiting for every SCBS student to discover more excitement.
Dr. Oliver Kramer, the Executive Principal; Ms. Joy Pan, the Vice Principal; Ms. Janet Cai, the Principal of SCBS Primary School; Dr. Wendy King, the Head of Secondary Academic, and Ms. Helena Mc Donough, the Director of International Curriculum of SCBS Primary School, attended the Opening Ceremony of SCBS and SCBS Primary School respectively.
The principals expressed their warmest welcome to all the teachers and students. They also expressed that in this time of new hopes and opportunities, SCBS teachers and students should not only review the past and summarise our experiences, but also bravely welcome the future and embrace the changes. SCBS teachers and students should keep their curiosity and explore the unknown. They encouraged SCBS students to continue their pursuit of academic excellence and self-improvement in the new academic year.
In addition, the principals encouraged the students to be willing to share and explore new and exciting things, and to inject new vigour into campus life with their actions. In the new semester, they learnt to share knowledge and happiness with their friends.
SCBS Primary School's G5 student, Carina Chen, is both an inheritor and a spreader of Chinese culture. It is worth mentioning that during a special ceremony at the opening of the new school year, the Primary School Principal, Ms. Cai, presented the ‘Spirit of SCBS Award’ for the 2023 school year to Carina Chen, not only as a personal honour, but also as a recognition of the outstanding achievements of SCBS students in embodying the Spirit of SCBS.
At the opening ceremony of the middle school, Darren Zhang, the representative of the G10 students who entered the high school from the G9 of SCBS, also expressed his expectation and perseverance for the new journey. As the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the school and the winner of the Outstanding Student Award, he said in his speech: ‘Thank you for the learning platform provided by SCBS, we have gained knowledge and honours academically last year, and we have also felt and experienced a lot of good things in this warm SCBS big family. Over the past four years, we have thrived in this fertile soil and gained friendship, knowledge and growth. Now, we will step forward to a higher stage and meet new challenges. I hope that all SCBS teachers and students will be successful!’

At SCBS, the teachers have become the new friends of the students. They not only impart knowledge, but are also tutors who guide the students' growth. With their love, encouragement and guidance, students find a sense of belonging and self-confidence in their new environment.

In her speech, Ms. Cai, particularly mentioned that there are thirty-nine pairs of siblings in the SCBS Primary School. This is not only a reflection of the families' preference for SCBS, but also a deeper expression of their recognition and trust in SCBS' educational philosophy.

Primary School

The campus is full of green trees, birdsong and flowers, and the spotless environment makes people happy. Spacious playgrounds, winding paths, bright classrooms, everywhere shows a clean and tidy atmosphere.
In the process of preparing for the start of the new semester, the whole school staff was rigorous and serious, and made detailed arrangements for all the work. From the development of the teaching plan, to the classroom decoration and hygiene cleaning, every aspect of the school reflects the expectation of the children to return to school.
The walls of the corridors of the KSCBS Primary School were brand new, and a well-decorated poster epitomised what the children had seen and heard during the holidays.
Middle School
During the summer holidays, a campus renovation and upgrading project with the aim of ‘creating a safe and comfortable learning environment for students’ was in full swing at SCBS. The Operations Department of SCBS have been working day and night in the summer heat to optimise the campus facilities and to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for the new semester. The campus facilities optimisation project took into account the actual needs of teachers and students, aesthetics, functionality, environmental health and other factors from the spatial layout to the facilities and equipment.
The Operations Department teachers said that the school is committed to making every detail in the campus to the best of its ability, in the hope that students can study and grow up in a comfortable environment.

Spatial Optimisation and Functional Expansion
of the Lecture Hall
The exterior transformation of the lecture hall is undoubtedly the most important in this campus renovation and upgrade. The school has cleverly integrated Chinese and Western cultural heritage into it, interpreting the classical flavour with modern methods. The remodelled auditorium adopts the elements of SCBS Red, which is a reflection of the ancient wooden wall façade, as if telling the story of time. The sunlight pours into the auditorium through the glass and wooden automatic shutters, adding a bit of vitality and vigour to the school.

Upgrading of school building
In the upgrading of the school building, the design concept adheres to the idea of ‘fusion of modernity and classicism’, creating a contemporary yet dignified learning space for teachers and students, and at the same time creating a peaceful and harmonious learning atmosphere. The exterior of the building retains the classic elements of modern minimalist architecture, with wooden door frames and walls cleverly blended with the SCBS Red, and the wooden design elements of the main doors giving the whole building an extraordinarily academic atmosphere.
SCBS has always been upholding the school motto of ‘Harmony, Trust, and Decency’, and is committed to cultivating SCBS students who are strengthen body and mind foster virtue and talent.
In the new semester, teachers will continue to carry forward the teaching style of ‘Rigour, Kindness, Innovation’, pay attention to the growth of each student, and build a solid foundation for their future. At the same time, we hope that all SCBS students will go forward in the new semester, create new achievements and to strive for academic excellence!
