有规则的自由 激发学习内驱力
康德双语学术氛围浓郁,同学们都很有分享精神,还具有诸多独特之处和自由度。例如,我们每天上课走班,这极大地锻炼了我的自我管理能力;我们的四个学院也都设有学院分,行规合格的同学可以为自己的学院增加学院分,这也让我更有集体荣誉感和归属感。有规则的自由,让我在实现提升自我管理能力的同时感受到了成为初中生后所拥有的自主,适度的学习空间。
对于从不同课程体系学校来的我来说,走班和学院制是很新奇的体验,我们每个人都有一个自己的储物柜,我们可以根据自己的需要和每天都课程合理安排存储空间。现在我觉得走班和学院制其实涵盖了我们平时在校的学习、生活、行为等方面,学院分可以从日常的行规上获得,这让我养成了良好的学习习惯,学会了时间规划、自律与自理,也更有集体荣誉感了。
互助共进的伙伴关系,引我速入佳境
自入读康德双语学校初中部至今,我深感康德双语的每位老师都把我们学生当作朋友。来到康德双语后,上课我会更主动的举手发言提出疑问,老师温暖和善,会鼓励我提出自己的想法,让我迅速融入了这里的学习环境也更敢于表达自己。在面对双语融合课程词汇掌握困难时,中外双导师均会给予耐心的指导和鼓励,同学之间也会互帮互助随时沟通学习小诀窍。这些都让我在学习和成长的道路上更加自信和坚定。
康德双语的学习氛围和语言环境是我最喜欢的。首先,学校为我们提供了一个开放包容的环境,让我结识了来自世界各地的老师。在这里,我和老师可以互相学习、交流,共同成长。其次,老师们既有深厚的专业知识,又有丰富的教学经验,使我在课堂上受益匪浅。最让我感动的是,这里注重培养我们的独立思考能力。
老师们会鼓励性格害羞的我勇敢地提出自己的疑问,这让我感受到学习不仅仅是被动接受知识,更是一个主动探索、独立思考的过程。现在的我越来越喜欢上课了。来到这里后,我发现同学之间不是拼成绩拼分数的竞争关系,而是互帮互助、共同进步的关系。
浓郁学术风,灵动教学法,育好学之心
我最喜欢学校的图书馆。这里超级温馨,有非常多的书。与来到康德双语后,老师鼓励我们多阅读,我发现每次中午休息,图书馆都会人满为患,充满了浓厚的阅读氛围。我也常常泡在图书馆里写作业、看书。图书馆内积极的阅读氛围,让我们都乐于在这里学习和阅读。
以前我就很擅长理科,来到这里之后,我最喜欢外方数学和外方科学这两门课,它们不仅是对我过去理科知识的延伸,也扩宽了未来我的国际视野。在外方数学课上,数学不再是简单的公式和定理,它变成了一种国际通用的语言,全英文授课环境,引导我们探索数学在各个领域中的应用。而外方科学课则更像是一个五彩斑斓的万花筒,它涵盖了从生物学到物理学的众多领域。老师们充分考虑到我们的个体差异,为我们提供了适用于每个人的个性化教学方式、丰富的资源和个性化的学习计划,让我在享受学习乐趣的同时,也在不断挑战自我。在这个过程中,我发现自己对科学探究的渴望愈发强烈。我现在与难题博弈成功后的那种成就感和满足感是无法用言语表达的。
我最喜欢的课是康德双语的双语融合课程,全英文的授课环境、活泼的授课方式以及老师们细心和善的授课风格,这是我喜欢在康德双语上学的原因之一。英语的教学方式是十分有趣且轻松的。老师会安排全英文演讲,还会引导我们通过多多写作来锻炼语言逻辑和表达能力。我在英语学习上的语言运用能力和思维能力也得到了提高,老师们会根据我们的成绩进行有针对性的教学,让我们都能更高效地学习。
开学到现在,我遇到的首个困难是全英语考试,考试过程中会在题目里碰到不认识的词。考试结束后,老师会依据我的成绩和试卷表现,给予我更具针对性的指导以及及时调整并安排相应的课程内容,老师还鼓励我利用课余时间将所有不认识的词汇整理词汇本。渐渐地,我发现自己在阅读和写作中能更加游刃有余地运用这些词汇,那种成就感真是无法言喻。
多元化的教育 让我对未来充满期待
我的兴趣爱好是编程和足球,到康德双语后,作业不会局限于大量的纸质形式,也不会是为了追求分数而去做,我在这里每一次完成作业都是超越自我的一次挑战。老师们布置的作业变得更有趣了,我的效率更高了,这让我有了更多时间去进行体育运动,在平衡兴趣爱好和学习的时间安排上更加自由。我期待未来能在康德双语挖掘更多的兴趣爱好。

Coming from primary schools with different curricula, the new G6 students have to face the new challenges of bilingual learning while becoming middle school students. With the change of class format and learning styles, how they adapt to this series of changes at the critical point of Primary School to Middle School is very important for G6. Let's listen to the sharing of SCBS' G6 students, Bella Lin and Hugo Li, and explore their stories of growing up in SCBS.
Freedom with rules to stimulate internal motivation to learn
There is a strong academic atmosphere, students are very sharing, and there are also many unique features and freedom. For example, we move between classroom, which has greatly honed my self-management skills; all four of our Houses also have House points, and students who uphold the school values can add House points to their Houses, which gives a sense of collective honour and belonging. The freedom with rules allows me to feel greater autonomy and ownership of my learning since I became a middle school student.
For me, coming from a school with a different curriculum, the movement around school and Houses were very new experiences; we also have our own locker where we can organise the storage space according to our needs and every day courses. House points can be earned from daily activities, which has helped me to develop good study habits, learn time planning, self-discipline and self-care, and have a greater sense of collective honour.
Mutually supportive partnerships
that led me to integrate quickly into learning environment
Since joining SCBS Middle School, I have been deeply impressed by the fact that every teacher at SCBS treats students as friends. When I came here, I would raise my hand to ask questions in class, and the teachers were warm and kind, encouraging me to put forward my own ideas, which helped me to quickly integrate into the learning environment and to express myself. When facing difficulties in mastering the vocabulary of Bilingual Integration Programme, both Chinese and International tutors give me patient guidance and encouragement, and students help each other to communicate with each other at any time with helpful tips. All these have made me more confident and determined on the road of learning and growth.
The learning atmosphere and language environment at SCBS is my favourite. First of all, the school provides us with an open and inclusive environment, which allows me to meet teachers from all over the world. Here, teachers and I can learn and communicate with each other and grow together. Secondly, the teachers have both deep professional knowledge and rich teaching experience, which benefits me greatly in the classroom. What touches me most is that there is a focus on cultivating our independent thinking ability.
Teachers encourage me, even though I am shy, to ask my own questions bravely, which makes me feel that learning is not only passive acceptance of knowledge, but also a process of active exploration and independent thinking. Now I like classes more and more. I have found that students are not competing with each other in terms of grades and scores, but helping each other and making progress together.
Strong academic atmosphere, personalised teaching style
My favourite part of the school is the library. It is super cosy and has very many books. At SCBS, the teachers encourage us to read more, and I find that every time we have a lunch break, the library is overcrowded and full of a strong reading atmosphere. I also often dip into the library to do my homework and read books. The positive reading atmosphere in the library makes us all happy to study and read here.
I used to be very good at science subjects, and after coming here, I like the International Maths and International Science classes the most. They not only extend my previous knowledge of scientific topics, but also broaden my international perspective. In International Maths class, maths is no longer simply formulas and theorems, it becomes an international language, full English teaching environment, guiding us to explore the application of maths in various fields. The International Science class, on the other hand, is more like a colourful kaleidoscope, which covers a wide range of fields from biology to physics. The teachers take into full consideration our individual differences and provide us with personalised support, abundant resources and learning plans applicable to each of us, allowing us to enjoy the fun of learning while at the same time constantly challenging ourselves. In the process, I have found that my desire for scientific enquiry has grown stronger. The sense of achievement and satisfaction I now feel after successfully talking difficult problems cannot be expressed in words.
My favourite classes are the Bilingual Integration Programmes, the lively teaching style and the attentive and kind teaching style of the teachers are the reasons I like SCBS. The teaching style of English is very interesting and relaxed. Teachers arrange all-English speeches and guide us to practise our language logic and expression through writing more and more. I have been able to improve my language skills and thinking skills in English, and the teachers are able to teach us according to our grades so that we can all learn more efficiently.
The first difficulty I've encountered so far in the school year was a full English test, during which I came across words I didn't know in the questions. After the exam, my teacher gave me more targeted guidance and timely adjustments to the course content based on my results and performance on the exam paper, and encouraged me to use my spare time to organise a vocabulary book of all the words I didn't know. Gradually, I found myself more comfortable using these words in my reading and writing, and I can't tell you how rewarding that was.
A diverse education that makes me excited about the future
My hobbies are programming and football, and when I came to SCBS, I found that homework was not confined to a large amount of paper forms, nor was it done in pursuit of grades; every time I complete homework here it is a challenge to go above and beyond. The homework set by the teachers has become more interesting and I am more efficient, which gives me more time for sports and more freedom in balancing my hobbies and studies in my schedule. I look forward to tapping into more hobbies at SCBS in the future.
I hope to gain more knowledge at SCBS, especially in the improvement of my English language skills. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and developing my overall quality in a good learning atmosphere. At the same time, I also hope to make more like-minded friends and build good relationships with teachers and classmates, so that we can grow and progress together. I will actively participate in various school activities, make full use of the resources provided by the school, and endeavour to improve my academic performance and comprehensive ability, so as to lay a solid foundation for future development.
My hobbies are painting and table tennis. I usually focus on my studies and relax by doing some sports after school or in between my studies. I am looking forward to the next stage of my study life and hope to explore more hobbies and potentials in SCBS. I am very happy to be a part of the SCBS, and I plan to continue my studies in the Middle School with excellent grades, and in the future, I will go abroad to further my studies.
