Oh me! Oh life!
老师导语:
Oh me! Oh life! 是美国伟大诗人惠特曼的知名作品,曾经出现在《死亡诗社》的电影当中,是电影中老师启发他的学生们去思考人生意义的引用诗句。
在这首诗里,惠特曼反思庸庸碌碌的生活的种种不堪,他对读者发出灵魂问题,人生的意义到底是什么?

Of the world where strangers walk in shadows

Of we stand, so distant, yet so near,

Of silent, what do we truly fear?

Of The lines we draw, on maps and in our hearts,

Of what Separating us, tearing human kinds apart.

Of Each nation stands, to its own benefits.

Of the same sky and the same sun we share being forgotten.

What purpose to this? Oh, me! Oh, world!

Answer:

The world exist, but yet not best

But by our efforts, a better place we possibly find last

Of the fruit of the original sin,

Of the despisal from God’s blink,

Of the majestic palace of freedom that life brings.

The question, O, Me! What kind of suffering we’ll meet?

Answer

That we lived---- Esprit of this world exists

That the floods of the unbreakable has drowned it all,

and left no pain but an Angel’s kiss.

诗的意境:人生来便被上天赠与了两样礼物——理性与理性的自由;恶与对恶的反思。

Of the sleepy and coldness of every morning,

Of the so difficult course that I can’t understand,

Of the homework so much like mountains.

What’s this for? For the goal? Or for else?

Answer.

That I learnt it for myself,

For the world, for the humans of all world.

诗的意境:远微把自己的在高中生活中的彷徨和繁重课业写到了诗中, 她问,为什么要忍受这一切,答案是:为了自己而学习,为了世界而学习。

Oh meOh LifeOf the questions of these recurring.

Of meaningless work each day, Of neglected past of night.

Of endless war we say, of massacre that not pay.

Of avaricious case fray, of who created by dust,

Why are the life just past? Why we be dust at last?

Answer.

That ages go on, and it never leave, though we are insignificant one,

we still join the unlimited spirit, of all the fight,

Of all the happiness, of all the pain, and of all the story.

诗的意境:观古今,观无限的时间长河,希求自己创造与众不同的故事

Of life is as brief as a mayfly(蜉蝣)

Of everybody wants to find meaning of the life,

Of even somebody try to find life’s meaning though spend a lifetime,

The question, what is life?

Answer.

That live everyday well, focus on every present moment, and live up everyday of life.

诗的意境:感慨人生苦短如蜉蝣,要努力啊!

Oh meOh LifeOf the questions of these recurring.

Of why My ability is so tiny,

Of why I have to suffer so much pain,

Of why I can’t have the real confidence

Of why I can’t be “the one”.

Answer.

That there is nothing to worry about.

Because I will beat them all, and achieve them all.

Of a pool of light, that comes from the moon, rushed into the restless society,

Of a pond of gorgeous lotus, calm and douse these crazy minds,

Of a stream of wind, blow the face, wash the heart,

Which never notice the exist of herself, why we need this?

Answer.

But we need to go here, a place of kind spontaneous does.

诗的意境:纯洁的灵魂,希求一方宁静。

Of the city is surrounded by illegal events and criminal behaviors.

Of a judge can speculate that an innocent guy is guilty.

Of a poor person is captured into the jail for many years just because a loaf of bread.

The questions, what is the meaning of justice?

Answer.

That the justice will always come, though it may be late sometimes, The powerful play goes on, and you and I may contribute an action.

诗的意境:为改变社会的不公而努力。

Of English pronunciation, conversation like noise means nothing to me.

Of English word it never saved in my mind, same like the water come and go.

Of English reading it makes my nerve racking and inferior

and stirred, how can I meet with English?

Answer.

That I need to take notes in every subject in English.

Of the questions knocked me again and again.

Of the lifeless filled with me, of the creative seemed hate me(a lot).

Of the brain flow the water of the river, like a leaf without direction.

Of the meaningless life belong to leaving, the question, oh! Me! so complex—

Where you want me to arrive, O me! O life!

Answer

That you should keep going, only this, you may find the place, the place you could stay for the rest of your life.

诗歌意境:困惑、彷徨,希望为自己的心找到位置安放。

Of repeating morning day after day.

Of class schedule that is no longer familiar with.

Of forever pushing myself to keep up with others.

The question, O me! so boring, so struggling----- What is the meaning of these?

Answer

That life is like climbing a mountain, there will be difficulties along the road.

But when you reach the top, you will feel more free and comfortable than before.

诗歌意境:繁重的学业,日复一日重复的生活,期待未来带来改变。

啊,自我!啊,生命!这个问题不断涌入我的脑海。

毫无信仰的人群川流不息;繁华的城市却充斥着愚昧;

不停的自责,我不停的自责(而那些比我还愚蠢的、毫无信仰可言的人呢?)

贪婪的眼睛,吝啬的家伙,一成不变的挣扎,

所有的恶果,周遭肮脏的人群,

空虚无为的余生, 纠缠着我,

这个问题,啊,自我!如此伤神,如此绵长。

这样又有什么好处?啊,自我,

啊,生命?

回答是:
