此外，政府职能部门也加大了对金融贪腐和其他金融犯罪的打击力度。2024年3月，中央第三轮巡视组对人民银行、各金融监管部门、五大行、中信集团等34家单位开展了为期三个月的常规巡视。根据国家纪委的统计，截至7月末，已有至少61人被查。在2024年下半年的两个月中，仅7月就有至少12人被查，其中6人来自国有大行。近期，中国银行行长刘金辞职的消息也引发了不少猜测。
在证券领域，涉嫌严重职务犯罪的海通证券副总经理姜诚君外逃后，近日在境外落网并被遣返回国。此前，上海证券交易所和中国证监会深圳监管局也分别有人被查。
2023年，中纪委通报金融系统内至少有90名干部被调查，而2024年的金融反腐工作延续了这一高压趋势，从高层到基层，各级别的参与腐败者都有可能成为反腐目标。值得注意的是，业内人士同样关注如何在重拳出击化解金融风险的同时，稳定行业信心。

Financial corruption under intensified crackdown
Following the 2023 Central Financial Work Conference’s emphasis on strengthening financial regulation, the term "have sharp teeth and barbs" has become a keyword for China's financial policies in 2024. In simple terms, this phrase signifies the increased intensity and depth of financial regulation, particularly focusing on enhancing the deterrent effect of oversight to prevent and mitigate financial risks.
In addition, government authorities have ramped up efforts to crack down on financial corruption and other financial crimes. In March 2024, the third round of central inspections was dispatched to conduct a three-month routine inspection, targeting 34 institutions including the People's Bank of China, various financial regulatory bodies, the five major state-owned banks, and CITIC Group, among others. According to statistics from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), as of the end of July, at least 61 individuals had been investigated. In just the first two months of the second half of 2024, at least 12 people were investigated in July alone, with six of them from state-owned banks. The recent resignation of Liu Jin, President of the Bank of China, has also sparked some speculation.
In the securities sector, Haitong Securities' Deputy General Manager Jiang Chengjun, who was suspected of serious duty-related crimes, was recently apprehended abroad and extradited back to China. Earlier, officials from the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Bureau of the China Securities Regulatory Commission were also investigated.
In 2023, the CCDI reported that at least 90 officials within the financial system had been investigated, and the anti-corruption campaign in 2024 has continued this trajectory. Individuals involved in corruption, from high-level executives to grassroots employees, could all become targets of anti-corruption measures. It is also noteworthy that industry insiders are equally concerned with stabilizing confidence in the industry while aggressively tackling financial risks.
